Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever will take another stab at getting their first home win tonight when they take on the Seattle Storm at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. But the Storm have been rolling since beating the Fever in Seattle and opened as a 1.5-point favorite.
However, the line has shifted since opening, and the Storm is now a 3.5-point road favorite.
Since losing to the Storm in Seattle, the Fever have won their first game, were soundly beaten by the Aces, and lost at home to the Sparks. When they can put it all together, Indiana plays solid basketball. But whether they can do so against the surging Seattle Storm is debatable.
Let's look at the betting odds for the Storm vs. Fever and our pick for the game.
For the first time this season, the Fever was the favorite heading into Tuesday's game vs. the Los Angeles Sparks. It was not hard to see why. Indiana did beat the Sparks in Los Angeles. If a team is a road favorite against someone, it makes sense that they'd be favored at home just a few days later.
The Fever went on to lose their third home game of the year, dropping their record to 1-7 SU and 4-4 ATS.
Seattle was 1-3 when they played Indiana on May 23, a week ago. But the win over the Fever was just what the Storm needed to get the season on track. Including the win over Indiana, they have won three in a row (2-1 ATS). They are 2-2 SU on the road but 3-1 ATS.

Expectations were high for the Storm entering the season after adding Skylar Diggins-Smith and Nneka Ogwumike to the roster during the offseason. Along with 2023 scoring champ Jewell Loyd, Seattle had their own "Big Three."
However, like any team, no matter how stacked the roster is, things will not look smooth and easy immediately. Teams need time and the opportunity to gel. With the win last week against the Fever, the Storm may have done just that.
It wasn't the prettiest game for Seattle, and they nearly lost it. But they figured out how to pull out a win and haven't lost since. Crushing the winless Mystics isn't something to brag about. Chicago isn't exactly the most formidable team in the league, either.
But they have won, while the Fever has not. With Skylar Diggins-Smith and Nneka Ogwumike developing better chemistry with the rest of the team, there is a good chance the Storm are more than ready to handle whatever Indiana throws at them.
Bet on Seattle Storm at FanDuel
Playing more games (eight) than every other team during the first couple of weeks hasn't helped the Fever get everyone on the same page, especially since five have been against the top three teams in last year's standings.
But you can't blame their struggles entirely on the caliber of competition they have faced. Their defense has been atrocious (worst in the league). Opponents have scored 90+ in four games, all losses. Three of the remaining four have seen teams put in 85+, while the Fever allowed 73 in Indiana's one win.
Indiana's offense hasn't helped out much either (second to last in scoring with 78 ppg). Caitlin Clark has not been the same powerhouse she was in her college days. She's only made fouShe'see-pointers in a game twice this season. But her lack of a shot is only one of her problems.
With seven more turnovers against the Sparks, Clark is on pace to crush the single-season record for most turnovers. Alyssa Thomas set the mark last season with 137. At her pace (5.5 per game), Clark will break the record against the Lynx in Minnesota on July 14.
Bet on Indiana Fever at FanDuel
Seattle is a team headed in the right direction. As for Indiana, it is hard to say just what direction the Fever is headed.
For every flash of brilliance from Clark, we see something not brilliant. Kelsey Mitchell has become a reliable source for 15+ points after a slow start, and Aliyah Boston's offense has shown signs of life. But neither is producing at the same clip they were last season.
But almost as important as their offensive struggles, their defense is terrible.
Indiana could turn this game into a fight, but only if they can establish some continuity on offense and play better defense.
