Coverage: NBA TV
Point Spread: Mercury -5
Dallas’s dreadful defense could do nothing to stop Copper in the first two games, in which she recorded 32 and 29 points. The Wings have kept an opponent from having at least one player with 20+ in four of their last 14 games.
Copper has had 20+ points in 11 of 19 games this season and five of 11 in June. There is no reason to think she will not get July off to an excellent start with a big night against a subpar Dallas defense.

The former No. 1 pick went from playing 21 minutes and scoring 11 points against Minnesota in her season debut (June 7) to playing 39 and scoring 24 against the Wings in Arlington in her second game back. Since then, she has averaged close to 21 ppg and recorded 20+ in three of six games.
The only teams she scored less than 20 points against were New York and Minnesota, two of the better defenses in the league, and Los Angeles. If she does not sabotage herself, she’ll score 20+ points against Dallas tonight.
Claim Britney Griner Props at bet365
Cloud does not tend to throw up the stat lines that Copper and Griner do, but she is a solid contributor for the Mercury with 11.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 7.3 assists per game. Her numbers have gone over the listed total or this combo prop in her last three games (vs. Connecticut, Indiana, and the Sparks.
However, she finished under the total in six of her first eight games in June, including the one against Dallas (seven points, four rebounds, and seven assists). Despite that game against the Wings, we don’t see her having too much trouble combining her results in those three categories to exceed the listed total.

OVER 4.5 Rebounds at -115
OVER 31.5 Pts + Reb + Ast at +100
With a season average of 23.7 ppg, this one looks like an easy decision, right? She’s gone over that number seven times this month and under it in five, but she scored 21+ in three of those five. Getting close is not good enough, but that tells us she was not far away from going over the total ten times.
Against Phoenix (June 9), she had 25, but that was in 50 minutes. In the May 25 game, she had 40. The Mercury are getting better, but they aren’t quite good enough to slow down a talented scorer like Ogunbowale.
As for her rebounds total, while she is averaging just 4.8 this season, she had five or more in seven of 12 games in June, including in four of her last five. Against Phoenix, she pulled down seven boards in both games.
She’ll get five tonight.
Regarding the combo prop, Ogunbowale went over in her two games vs. Phoenix with ease (May 25— 51; June 9—42). She’s gone over the listed total (31.5) in eight of her last 12 games. Because of that, we like the value in taking the OVER at +100.
Claim Arike Ogunbowale Props at bet365
Since her return from injury roughly two weeks ago, Howard has been playing 20-30 minutes, scoring 6-26 points and recording 3-8 rebounds. Her better numbers have come against Washington and Chicago, but she was relatively contained by Seattle and Minnesota.
Phoenix falls somewhere in between; they are not a dominant team but on a higher level than the Mystic and Sky. However, despite losing three of their last four, the Mercury have allowed the fourth-lowest point total in that span (79.3).
Ogunbowale will have a solid day against the Phoenix defense but don’t bank on Howard having one, too.
