Devin Clark enters this fight coming off two losses, first vs Anthony Smith via first round triangle choke, followed by a unanimous decision loss to Ion Cutelaba where he suffered a horrific jaw injury. It is yet to be seen whether or not he can bounce back from that injury and fight with the same confidence he had prior. William Knight recently lost to Maxim Grishin at UFC 271 where he struggled with the weight cut and eventually missed the Light Heavyweight limit. However, with this being a short notice fight at Heavyweight, Knight will not have to cut weight and this will work greatly in his favor. With Knight being the more explosive, athletic and active fighter, an early finish is likely.

Lina Lansberg’s first pro MMA fight back in 2012 ended in a loss to Pannie Kianzad and she will be out looking for revenge in this matchup. However Kianzad is ten years younger than her opponent and has beaten high level opponents such as Bethe Correia and Alexis Davis. Kianzad’s most recent fight ended in a unanimous decision loss to Raquel Pennington, a loss which has since aged well considering Penningtons recent run of form. Lina Lansberg has been inactive since 2020 and her last fight resulted in a loss vs Sara McMann. Kianzad will likely look to pressure Lansberg at all times with strikes in an attempt to win each round rather than look for a finish.

Drakkar Klose has been in the UFC since 2017 and despite his recent loss to Beniel Dariush he has done very well for himself so far. His resume includes wins over Lando Vanatta, Bobby “King” Green, Marc Diakese and Christian Giagos. Brandon Jenkins debuted in the UFC in 2021 where he lost via ground strikes to Zhu Rong in the third round. Despite the mixed record on the regional scene, Jenkins has had some spectacular first round finishes throughout his career. This should be a great fight where both fighters relentlessly swing for a finish.

Rafa Garcia has been a lot more active than his opponent going into this matchup and is also nine years younger than Ronson. Garcia went undefeated in the Mexican regional MMA scene and only losses came in the UFC vs Nasrat Haqparast and Chris Greuetzemacher. In his most recent UFC outing, Garcia defeated Natan Levy, another good prospect that joined the UFC through the contender series. Jesse Ronson’s only fight in the UFC back in 2020 was a first round rear naked choke win vs Nicolas Dalby which was later overturned to a no contest due to Ronson testing positive for a banned substance.

Chris Barnett is always entertaining to watch and put on a great show for the fans last time out when he knocked out Gian Villante with a spinning heel kick in round two before celebrating with an octagon shaking front flip. Martin Buday put on a fantastic performance in the contender series where he knocked out Lorenzo Hood with a knee to the head with four seconds remaining in the round. While Barnett has shown that he can get a finish at any time in a fight, Buday has a big size advantage going into this matchup and has finished his last eight fights within two rounds.

Trey Ogden was recently signed to the UFC when he impressed Dana White at Fury FC 55: “Lookin for a fight”. He defeated JJ Okanovic that night via arm triangle choke in the third round. While Ogden has shown that grappling is his main skill, this will play right into the hands of his opponent, Jordan Leavitt, who is an outstanding grappler who is also known to look for submissions early in the fight. While Ogden did well on the regional scene, his three most recent losses came by way of first round submission. Jordan Leavitt has finished three of his fights via first round submission.

Although on a two fight losing streak, Kevin Croom will have a massive height and reach advantage in this matchup. His recent losses were against two formidable opponents in Alex Caceres and Brian Kelleher, the latter of which he took on short notice. Heili Alateng’s four fight winning streak was broken in 2020 when he faced Casey Kenney and lost via unanimous decision. Croom will need to utilize his reach advantage and grappling skills to wear his opponent down round by round.
