Kai Kara-France | TALE OF THE TAPE | Amir Albazi |
30 | Age | 29 |
5 ft 5 in | Height | 5 ft 5 in |
69 in | Reach | 68 in |
24-10, 1 no-contest | Record | 16-1 |
Enjoying a three-fight winning streak heading into his most recent bout, Kai Kara-France was ultimately defeated via third-round TKO by Brandon Moreno at UFC 277 last July in a bout that was for the interim flyweight championship.
Prior to that loss, Kara-France had earned a unanimous decision win over Askar Askarov; becoming the first man to ever defeat Askarov in a mixed martial arts competition.
Kara-France takes on rising contender Amir Albazi - a man with only one loss on his professional record.
Albazi has won his last five in a row - a streak that includes back-to-back finishes. He submitted Francisco Figueiredo in the first round of their UFC 278 contents and followed that performance up with a third-round knockout of Alessandro Costa last December.
A purple belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, nine of Albazi’s 16 wins have come in the form of submission.
Kara-France, predominantly a striker, trains with the infamous City Kickboxing gym that boasts UFC champions Israel Adesanya and Alexander Volkanovski.
In what is sure to be a fight of the night candidate, these two men are, unsurprisingly, listed as -110 equals heading into Saturday night’s main event.

Alex Caceres | TALE OF THE TAPE | Daniel Pineda |
34 | Age | 37 |
5 ft 9 in | Height | 5 ft 7 in |
73.5 in | Reach | 69 in |
20-13, 1 no-contest | Record | 28-14, 3 no-contests |
Ultimate Fighter reality show alum Alex Caceres has had a career resurgence as of late, going 6-1 over his last seven fights.
He recently had a five-fight winning streak snapped by Sodiq Yusuff but bounced back in a big way in his most recent fight, earning a first-round TKO over Julian Erosa last December.
Daniel Pineda has had mixed success recently, having gone 1-1 with one no-contest in his last three fights. However, he is coming off of an impressive second-round submission win over Tucker Lutz that took place this past March.
Caceres will stand two inches taller and have a 4.5-inch reach advantage over Pineda. And, despite his BJJ black belt, Pineda is listed as the +155 underdog.
Jim Miller | TALE OF THE TAPE | Jared Gordon |
39 | Age | 34 |
5 ft 8 in | Height | 5 ft 9 in |
71 in | Reach | 68 in |
35-17, 1 no-contest | Record | 19-6, 1 no-contest |
This Saturday will mark Jared Gordon’s third fight in six months. He hasn’t had much success lately as he lost a controversial decision to Paddy Pimblett last December before an accidental clash of heads led to a no-contest ruling in his most recent bout against Bobby Green.
Jim Miller, the UFC record holder for most wins (24) and most fights (41) recently had his three-fight winning streak snapped at the hands of Alexander Hernandez, who defeated him via unanimous decision this past February.
Miller was originally slated to take on L’udovit Klein this weekend but Klein was forced to pull out due to illness.
Despite stepping in as a last-minute replacement, Jared Gordon is listed as the -180 favorite.
Tim Elliott | TALE OF THE TAPE | Victor Altamirano |
36 | Age | 32 |
5 ft 7 in | Height | 5 ft 8 in |
66 in | Reach | 70.5 in |
18-12-1 | Record | 12-2 |
Another rising contender out of Mexico, Victor Altamirano lost his UFC debut last February by split decision.
Since then, he has gone on to win two in a row: a first-round TKO win over Daniel Lacerda and, more recently, a unanimous decision win over Vinicius Salvador this past March.
Tim Elliott is a blue belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and boasts NCAA division-2 wrestling credentials. The former Titan FC flyweight champion is 3-1 in his last four fights and is coming off of a unanimous decision win over Tagir Ulanbekov at UFC 272.
This Saturday will mark Elliott’s first UFC bout in over one year.
Altamirano is the taller man and will have a 4.5-inch reach advantage. However, despite being more active, he is still listed as the +190 underdog to Elliot’s -175.
Karine Silva | TALE OF THE TAPE | Ketlen Souza |
29 | Age | 27 |
5 ft 5 in | Height | 5 ft 3 in |
67 in | Reach | 64 in |
15-4 | Record | 13-3 |
Riding a four-fight winning streak into her appearance on the Contender Series, Karine Silva defeated Qihui Yan via second-round submission on her 2021 appearance on the show.
She has since fought once under the UFC banner, defeating Poliana Botelho by first-round submission last June.
She takes on Ketlen Souza, who is making her UFC debut this Saturday, riding the momentum of a five-fight winning streak that includes winning the Invicta FC flyweight championship this past January. Silva will stand two inches taller and have a reach advantage of three inches over Souza. At -225, Silva is the largest betting favorite on the main card.
Abubakar Nurmagomedov | TALE OF THE TAPE | Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos |
33 | Age | 36 |
5 ft 11 in | Height | 5 ft 11 in |
73 in | Reach | 73 in |
17-3-1 | Record | 23-7 |
With a 2-1 UFC record and currently on a two-fight winning streak, Abubakar Nurmagomedov (cousin to Khabib) is a three-time sambo bronze medalist looking to extend his winning ways in MMA.
His opponent, Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos, holds a black belt in BJJ and a black rope ranking in capoeira. He is 2-2 in his last four fights and is coming off of a unanimous decision win over Benoit Saint-Denis at UFC 267. This means that dos Santos has not competed in the UFC octagon since October 2021 as he was suspended for one year following a failed drug test.
Both men stand at equal heights and have an even reach. It’s a close call in the eyes of the oddsmakers as these two are listed at -105 and -115 respectively.
