Brandon Moreno vs. Amir Albazi - Flyweight Division

Former flyweight champion and number-two ranked flyweight Brandon Moreno takes on the number-three ranked contender Amir Albazi in the main event of UFC Fight Night this Saturday.

Although he boasts a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, Brandon Moreno has struggled as of late - having dropped his last two contests in a row. 

In an attempt to regain his flyweight title, Moreno lost a close split-decision to champion Alexandre Pantjo before losing a second split-decision in his most recent bout against Brandon Royval.

Amir Albazi is currently on a six-fight winning streak that includes five straight wins in the UFC.

Albazi most recently earned a split-decision win over Kai Kara-France. However, that fight took place last June and this main event against Moreno will be his first fight of 2024.

Moreno will stand two-inches taller and have a two-inch advantage in reach as well. The former champion is a -172 favorite to win at FanDuel.

Erin Blanchfield vs. Rose Namajunas - Women’s Flyweight Division

The number-three ranked women’s flyweight Erin Blanchfield looks to cement herself as the next title contender with a win over the number-seven ranked, former strawweight champion Rose Namajunas in the co-main event.

Blanchfield, a BJJ black belt, started her UFC career by winning five in a row. However, she suffered her first promotional loss in her most recent bout - dropping a unanimous decision to Manon Fiorot back in March.

Namajunas, a former two-time women’s strawweight champion, debuted in the flyweight division last September. However, she lost her 125-pound debut against Manon Fiorot. 

She has since bounced back by winning two in a row over Amanda Ribas and, most recently, Tracey Cortez, whom she defeated back in July by unanimous decision.

Blanchfield is seven-years younger than her opponent and will have a three-inch reach advantage. She is a -140 favorite over Namajunas at FanDuel.

Derrick Lewis vs. Jhonata Diniz - Heavyweight Division

Sitting just outside the top-ten, former heavyweight title challenger and UFC record holder for the most knockouts Derrick Lewis looks to stay in the win column following his huge TKO win over Rodrigo Nascimento this past May.

He takes on muay thai black belt and undefeated MMA fighter Jhonata Diniz, whose 8-0 record includes a win on the Contender Series and two wins inside the UFC octagon.

Diniz most recently earned a unanimous decision win over Karl Williams this past August. He will stand one-inch taller and is a -174 at FanDuel over the fan-favorite Derrick Lewis.

Caio Machado vs. Brendson Ribeiro - Light Heavyweight Division

Caio Machado versus Brendson Ribeiro - two Brazilian fighters who boast wins on the Contender Series. Unfortunately, both fighters are also 0-2 since signing with the UFC.

Machado is coming off of a unanimous decision loss against Don’Tale Mayes that happened back in April. Brendson Ribeiro is coming off of a majority decision loss against Magomed Gadzhiyasulov that took place in June.

Ribeiro will have a three-inch reach advantage over Machado despite standing one-inch shorter. He is a +130 underdog at FanDuel.

Marc-Andre Barriault vs. Dustin Stoltzfus - Middleweight Division

One of several Canadians on this Canadian Fight Night event, Marc-Andre Barriault looks to snap his two-fight skid with a win over Dustin Stoltzfus.

Barriault has fought twice in 2024. He was one the losing side of a unanimous decision against Chris Curtis in January and, most recently, suffered a KO loss at the hands of Joe Pyefer at UFC 303 this past June.

Dustin Stoltzfus is 2-2 in his last four fights and is coming off of a brutal first-round KO loss against Brunno Ferriera.

Barriault will be the taller fighter but Stoltzfus will have a two-inch reach advantage.

Mike Malott vs. Trevin Giles - Welterweight Division

Kicking off this Saturday’s main card is Canada’s own BJJ black belt Mike Malott.

After three wins in a row to start his UFC career, Malott suffered his first promotional loss in his most recent bout, suffering a TKO loss by the hands of Neil Magny back in January.

Malott takes on Trevin Giles, a fighter who is 2-2 in his last four fights. Giles has suffered back-to-back defeats against Gabriel Bonfim (submission) and, most recently, Carlos Prates (knockout) in February.

Malott, who at -280 at FanDuel is the biggest betting favorite on the main card - will stand one-inch taller than Giles. However Giles will have a one-inch advantage in reach.
