Arguably the greatest fighter of all time takes on the heavyweight with the most title defenses in UFC history.
Jon Jones - the man who never lost his light heavyweight title - takes on Stipe Miocic this Saturday in the main event of UFC 309.
After vacating his title shortly after his 2020 win over Dominick Reyes, Jon Jones wouldn’t be seen in the UFC octagon again until 2023 - this time as a heavyweight fighting for a vacant title.
He took on Ciryl Gane and defeated him with a first-round submission to become heavyweight champion. He has not fought since.
Stipe Miocic, who holds the record for the most heavyweight title defenses in UFC history (3), hasn’t fought since his KO title loss to Francis Ngannou that took place in 2021.
These two were originally scheduled to face-off last November at UFC 295. However, an injury caused Jon Jones to pull out of the fight which led to an interim title fight between Tom Aspinall and Sergei Pavlovich - with Aspinall coming out victorious.
Despite the layoff of both fighters, this is being touted as a battle of two legends. A win for Jones (who is a massive (-670) favorite to win at FanDuel) would likely solidify him as the greatest fighter the UFC has ever known.
A win for underdog (+430) Stipe Miocic at FanDuel would mark him as the greatest heavyweight the division has ever seen. However, regardless of who wins, it seems unlikely that a face-off with interim champ Tom Aspinall would be next as both of these main event fighters seem to be flirting with retirement.

Two of the UFC’s top-ten lightweights will do battle once again.
Former champion Charles Oliveira and contender Michael Chandler fought once before - for the vacant UFC lightweight championship back in 2021. In a back-and-forth stand-up war, it was Oliveira who came out on top - securing a second-round TKO victory to earn his first lightweight title.
Since then, Oliveira has gone 3-2 and is coming off of a split-decision loss against Arman Tsarukyan that took place at UFC 300.
Michael Chandler has spent the better part of two-years waiting for a “guaranteed” Conor McGregor fight that never came to fruition. He has not fought since his 2022 submission loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 281.
Oliveira holds a fourth-degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu but Chandler boasts incredible wrestling and grappling credentials. It is likely, like their first fight, that this bout will mostly be contested on the feet - where we believe Oliveira the (-280) favorite at FanDuel has the advantage over the less active Michael Chandler.

After winning his middleweight debut against Andre Muniz in 2023, former light heavyweight Paul Craig has lost two in a row - once by submission and once by knockout.
He has been tasked with taking on the undefeated prospect Bo Nickal - who at 6-0 has yet to go to the judges’ scorecards.
Nickal is coming off of a second-round submission win over Cody Brundage at UFC 300.
Craig last fought at UFC 301 - suffering a second-round KO loss at the hands of Caio Borralho.
The biggest betting favorite on the main card this weekend, oddsmakers have Bo Nickal listed as a (-1400) favorite at FanDuel to defeat Paul Craig.

Number-nine ranked women’s flyweight Viviane Araujo takes on the number-11 ranked Karine Silva in a bout that could see one of these fighters challenge for a title in early-to-mid 2025.
Araujo, a BJJ black belt, has struggled as of late - holding a record of just 1-3 over her last four fights.
Opposite of that, Karien Silva has won her last nine-fights in a row, with four of those coming under the UFC promotional banner. She is coming off of a win over Ariane Lipski that took place this past April.
Seven-years younger than her opponent, Karine Silva is listed as the (-295) favorite at FanDuel to come out victorious this weekend.

10-1 | Record | 14-4 |
Despite this being only his second fight in the UFC, Mauricio Ruffy is listed as a (-950) favorite to win at FanDuel over his opponent James Llontop.
After his win on the Contender Series, Ruffy won his UFC debut back in May with a first-round flying knee knockout over Jamie Mullarkey.
On the opposite side of the octagon will be James Llontop - a fighter who also won on the Contender Series but who has also gone 0-2 in the UFC since then.
Llontop will stand one-inch taller but the favorite Ruffy will look to utilize a two-inch reach advantage.
