Anthony Hernandez | TALE OF THE TAPE | Michel Pereira |

75 in | Reach | 73 in |
12-2, 1 no-contest | Record | 31-11, 2 no-contests |
Although his flashy capoeira style is entertaining for fans, Michel Pereira has suffered with stamina and weight cutting issues in the past. The former welterweight now finds himself competing in a UFC main event in the 185-pound middleweight division.
It should be noted that Pereira also boasts black belts in both Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and karate. And despite his weight issues, Pereira has won his last eight fights in a row, including three performance bonuses in his last three appearances.
He takes on Anthony Hernandez - a fighter who is enjoying a winning streak of his own right now (5). Four of those five recent wins have come via finish. He most recently submitted Roman Kopylov at UFC 298 this past February.
Pereira will stand one-inch taller but Hernandez will look to make the most of his two-inch reach advantage.
Hernandez is the slight betting favorite at -138 at FanDuel this weekend.

In seven UFC bouts, Kyler Phillips has lost just once and currently finds himself in the midst of a three-fight winning streak.
Phillips most recently defeated UFC veteran Pedro Munhoz at UFC 299 back in March; defeating him via unanimous decision.
He takes on fan-favorite and number-ten ranked bantamweight Rob Font who, unfortunately, has gone just 1-4 over his last five fights. He has now dropped two in a row, having most recently been defeated by former flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo last December.
In what will be his first fight of 2024, Rob Font is listed as the +320 underdog at FanDuel in this co-main event.
At -460, Kyler Phillips is listed as the biggest betting favorite on the main card.

70 in | Reach | 72 in |
16-6 | Record | 16-6 |
We wouldn’t be surprised if Charles Johnson has been practicing his triangle chokes leading up to this fight as his opponent, Sumudaerji has lost back-to-back bouts - both via that maneuver.
Sumudaerhi is now 3-3 during his tenure with the UFC.
After a back-and-forth start to his UFC career, Charles Johnson has now won three in a row and looks to earn his fourth straight this weekend. He is coming off a huge third-round knockout win over Joshua Van that took place back in July.
Johnson will stand one-inch taller but Sumudaerji will have a two-inch reach advantage. Though it seems oddsmakers expect Johnson to earn his fourth straight win this Saturday as he is currently listed as the -225 favorite at FanDuel.

Although no odds were available via FanDuel at the time of writing, this won’t stop us from featuring this likely fight of the night contender between Darren “The Damage” Elkins and Daniel “The Pit” Pineda.
Although both fighters boast high grappling credentials (Pineda holds a black belt in BJJ and Elkins was an NCAA division two wrestler), both fighters are known for standing and trading blows with their opponents.
Elkins is 2-2 in his last four and is coming off of a third-round submission win over T.J. Brown. However, that fight took place last October and this will be Elkins first fight of 2024.
Pineda has lost his last two fights in a row - both by decision. His most recent fight took place at UFC 304 back in July.

31 | Age | 30 |
5 ft 6 in | Height | 5 ft 4 in |
66 in | Reach | 65 in |
19-4-1 | Record | 20-2 |
In this main card kick-off fight, number-seven ranked flyweight Matheus Nicolau will take on the number-14 ranked Asu Almabayev; a fighter who has not lost since 2017.
Nicolau, a BJJ black belt, has struggled as of late. Having his six-fight winning streak snapped in 2022, he has now lost his last two fights in a row to Brandon Royval and Alex Perez - both in the form of knockout.
Almabayev has won his last 16 fights in a row, including three under the UFC banner. He submitted Ode’ Osbourne in his UFC debut and has since defeated both C.J. Vergara and Jose Johnson by unanimous decision.
Although already ranked within the top-ten, Matheus Nicolau will enter the octagon this Saturday as a +148 underdog at FanDuel.
