For this Moonspin review, I registered with the site and got to work playing games, opting into promotions, making purchases, redeeming prizes, and much more over the course of a week. Here’s what I found.

After signing up with Moonspin and verifying my email address, I saw 10,000 GC and 1 MC in my casino balance. I signed into my account the next day and came back the day after to get  the remaining 20,000 GC and 2 MC advertised in their welcome offer. 

I got 10,000 GC and 1 MC on both my second and third days as a new player, leaving me with a total of 30,000 GC and 3 MC. While I got my initial bonus of 10,000 GC and 1 MC automatically, I had to go to their “Bonuses” section to claim the second and third parts of their welcome pack. 

It’s a valuable and easy-to-claim offer, and the perfect start to life at Moonspin.

First Purchase Offer

It’s completely optional to buy Gold Coins at any sweepstakes casino, but many sweeps sites include a discount or boost on your first purchase as part of your welcome offer. For instance, Spree is offering a 200% boost if new players spend $9.99, which is worth 30,000 GC and 30 free SC.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any first purchase offers from Moonspins, and it’s definitely something I’d like to see added. 

There is one exception: if you purchase the most expensive GC pack worth $500, you’ll get an additional 20 free MC for a total of 500,000 GC and 520 MC. It’s a nice offer for higher rollers, but not much use for more casual players. 

Moonspin Bonus Code 

There’s no Moonspin bonus code required to claim any of their promotions. Any new players you invite must enter a referral code while registering in order for you to get their advertised bonus. 

Refer-A-Friend Bonus 

Moonspin’s referral bonus is commission-based rather than offering a set number of GC or MC. 

I clicked “Refer A Friend” from the sidebar and clicked the miniature clipboard next to find my unique referral link. Next, your friend needs to sign up using your referral link and buy the equivalent of $25 worth of GC.

Once they do, you’ll receive 10% of the house edge whenever they play games with GC or MC.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get any friends to sign up over the course of my week of testing. Still, it’s an interesting twist on how referral bonuses normally work. I can see it being very valuable if you wind up referring a person who plays a lot. 

Moonspin Hourly Bonus 

Instead of a daily login bonus, Moonspin has taken things to the next level with multiple bonuses every day, every couple of hours. You can get a top up of 0.3 MC every 1.5 hours, and an extra 1,000 GC every 2.5 hours. 

Before you can claim the bonus, you need to verify your account. 

I accessed Moonspin’s hourly bonuses, I clicked “Get Verified” and chose my country of residence on the next screen. After selecting “US Resident” and clicking on “Next,” I entered my phone number and clicked “Send Verification Code.” I entered my six-digit code when prompted. 

I clicked the “Claim” pop up to receive my first 1,000 GC and 0.3 MC. On this screen, I saw that I could receive 1,000 GC every 2.5 hours, and I could get my hands on 0.3 MC every hour and a half. In my opinion, this is far more generous than a daily bonus. 

Thankfully, there’s a running timer next to both bonuses so you’ll know exactly when you’re able to claim them again. 

You can click your profile icon and click “Bonuses” to view their promotions at any time. If you’re on mobile, click the miniature “Rewards” icon at the bottom of your screen. 

Moonspin Rakeback 

Moonspin will give you instant, weekly, and monthly rakeback when you lose enough GC or MC. They’ll credit your account with 5% of the house edge once your “rakeback wallet” has upwards of $0.20. 

You’ll get 3% of your house edge delivered to your rakeback wallet every Monday, and you’ll get 2% of the house edge credited to your account on the first day of every month. The final amount varies based on how often you’re playing, but your bonus coins are subject to a 3x playthrough. 

I actually ended up winning during my week of testing, so I didn’t end up receiving my share of rakeback. However, I like this promo in theory.

Claim 30 Free Spins 

If you manage to hit a 100x multiplier on Limbo, Crash, Chart Betting, or When Moon Bro while playing with Moon Coins, you’ll claim 30 free spins immediately. I wasn’t able to reach this multiplier at any point during my testing, but I noticed that bonus spin winnings come with a 35x playthrough. 

Players who are lucky enough to land a 100x multiplier on any of Moonspin’s qualifying games will find 30 free spins waiting for them in the “Bonuses” section underneath their profile settings.

Moonspin User Experience 

While their gaming library needs a bit more variety in my personal opinion, I had a blast playing slots and specialties at Moonspin Casino. Even without a downloadable app, I didn’t have any trouble finding my way around their beginner-friendly interface on desktop and mobile devices.

Desktop

When I first began my testing at Moonspin, I created a new account using my laptop. 

Their sleek, all-black color scheme feels modern and futuristic. Scrolling around and exploring, I enjoyed quick loading speeds, entertaining graphics, simple transactions and smooth animations at every turn.

You can see your GC balance at the top of the screen. To flip to your MC balance, you can click the arrow to reveal a drop-down menu. Next to my coins balance, I saw a button that directed me to their GC purchase menu. Underneath this tab, you’ll see adverts for Moonspin’s latest promotions. It’s all nicely spaced and easy to understand at a glance. 

Looking to the right of the screen, I could access my Bonuses by clicking on the Treasure Chest and I could immediately copy my referral link by clicking the airplane icon. Clicking on the profile button lets you see your account details, buy Gold Coins, redeem prizes, access promotions, and log out. 

Moonspin doesn’t just look attractive, the design of the software also improves the overall experience of using the site. The gaming menu is well organized into different categories and there is a search bar that let me to look for games by software provider and title. 

Clicking into any of the categories opens a new screen, showing new subcategories and more information. For instance, they divide their slot library into three separate themes: Spin and Win, It’s Showtimeee and Reel Rivalry. I was able to view all the games in any category by clicking “See All” underneath each column. 

I also saw a running leaderboard detailing all the latest wins of players admittedly more lucky than myself. 

Finally, at the bottom of the page, you can see a list of the accepted cryptocurrencies and links to all the Moonspin social media channels.

Mobile

After logging in with my username and password, I was taken to a mobile homepage that follows the design of the desktop closely. I saw my coins balance front-and-center, and I was able to pull up the account menu sidebar by clicking the arrow tab at the top-right corner of my screen.

I like the way the menus hide when you’re not using them on the mobile site, which saves space on the smaller screen.

There aren’t many differences between Moonspin’s desktop and mobile website, but the biggest and most noticeable change is the row of menu icons at the bottom of the screen. This is pretty much the hub for navigating around the mobile site, and lets you jump from one section to another easily. 

I like that the Search function is always visible in this row. I also found using the Back and Forward arrows were a useful way to navigate, rather than always jumping back to the Home screen from the menu. 

All their games are sized appropriately for smaller screens, and their mobile website didn’t feel clunky in the slightest. Instead, I enjoyed the same fast-loading speeds and snappy graphics I’d gotten used to seeing on my laptop. I’d recommend Moonspin from an experiential standpoint. 

Moonspin Casino Games 

The majority of Moonspin’s catalog is made up of slots produced by GameArt. The remaining specialty games are designed in-house. 

Unfortunately, they don’t host classic slots from Pragmatic Play or any other big-name providers. They don’t have any live dealer games either, and only one table game. 

You won’t find any of Moonspin’s games featured by larger social casinos like Chumba or Zula Casino, so it’s a great choice if you’re looking for something fresh. In my opinion, exclusivity is Moonspin’s biggest selling point. 

Slot Games 

Moonspin Casino has 206 slots from GameArt, but they don’t have any progressive jackpots on deck. You can play all their games with Gold Coins (GC) or Moon Coins (MC). 

GC is used if you only want to play for fun, but you’ll have to play with MC if you want the chance to redeem crypto prizes. 

I would have liked to see some bigger-name slots from Pragmatic Play in their collection. Sugar Rush 1000 and Gates of Olympus 1000 are two of my favorite games, and not seeing either one here was a disappointment. 

Still, I was impressed by the versatility of their slots collection because it’s exclusive to Moonspin. 

I didn’t notice any lag while browsing their game selection, and their search bar made it easy for me to find specific titles. All their reels grabbed my attention with crisp animations, realistic spin mechanics, pristine graphics, and diverse backstories that transported me to another dimension. 

Their hottest slots are 20 Super Sevens, 88 Riches, Angry Dragons, and Buffalo Sunset. Angry Dragons is my favorite of the bunch, and I did a double take when I saw the machine’s 50,000x win multiplier. Triumphant sound effects accompanied every victorious spin as I entered battle. 

Table Games 

Moonspin has a single roulette game on deck, but they lack baccarat, blackjack and video poker options. I found their single-zero roulette wheel nestled in the “Originals” section of their library. I was able to adjust the chip size, enter a specific bet amount, and select my numbers on-screen. 

I could also bet on certain sections of the wheel using the tabs at the bottom of my screen. Each round lasted approximately 5 seconds, so I didn’t have to wait very long before seeing whether I won or lost. 

It’s nice to have at least one table game option, but there is clearly room for improvement here. 

Live Dealer 

Moonspin Casino doesn’t have any live dealer games at the moment, so I’m not able to suggest their platform to seasoned or experienced players looking for live games. If you primarily visit the casino to play tables, I’d sooner recommend Betrivers.net or McLuck. Both casinos feature several live dealer options. 

Moonspin Originals 

I clicked “Original Games” to access Moonspin’s in-house titles. They have a regular Crash-style game, a second themed Crash-style game called “When Moon Bro,” Chart Betting, Dice, Limbo, Hi-Lo, Wheel of Fortune, and Roulette. 

Crash games let players decide when it’s time to cash out. Your objective is to reach the highest win multiplier possible before the game “crashes” and you lose. I played When Moon Bro and watched as their flying car took off towards the stratosphere. 

I got out in the nick of time before the game crashed at 1.29x, allowing me to take my 1.26x win and survive the round. 

I also had fun testing out Hi-Lo, which is just about the simplest game I’ve ever played. You simply need to predict whether the next card will be higher or lower than the previous one.  Viewing the percentage-based likelihood for each choice prior to making a selection was helpful, and I was able to string together a few juicy wins. 

Overall, Moonspin’s game library will appeal to casual players and beginners, as well as anyone looking for fresh games that aren’t available at other sites. 

I’d like to see them add more table games and live dealer games if they want to take their collection to the next level.

Moonspin Payments 

There’s no need to spend money at Moonspin if you prefer not to, or at any other sweepstakes casinos endorsed by WSN. Moonspin doesn’t accept real cash or cryptocurrency for wagering purposes, and you can get both Gold Coins and Moon Coins for free. 

This allows them to operate in U.S. states that prohibit real money gaming.

On the bright side, I found it easy to buy GC with crypto at Moonspin Casino. I’m explaining the steps I took to purchase after signing up and verifying my email address. First, I clicked “Buy Gold Coins” while logged into my account. Then, I selected their least expensive package. 

I clicked “$10.00” and chose Bitcoin from the drop-down menu when prompted to select a form of payment. I selected “BTC Native” from the “Network” menu and scanned their QR Code with my smartphone camera to pay using CakeWallet. You can also finalize the transaction manually. 

After I paid with CakeWallet, it took 15 minutes for the blockchain to reflect one confirmation. At this point, I checked my casino balance and noticed 10,000 GC + 10.1 free Moon Coins waiting for me. They accept ETH, LTC, XRP, DOGE, TRON, and USDT payments in addition to Bitcoin. 

I won the eligible 40 MC midway through the week I spent testing their platform. 

Remember, all the MC you receive via a free bonus needs to be used to play games 3x before they can be redeemed for prizes. Moonspin also charged 3 MC for each prize redemption. I don’t love these extra rules surrounding Moon Coins, which ultimately make it harder for users to redeem prizes. 

In contrast, Chumba Casino charges nothing for redemptions and adopts the industry-standard 1x wagering requirements on bonus Sweeps Coins. 

Eligible Moon Coins can be redeemed for prizes at a rate of 1 MC to $1 USD. However, I could only receive a crypto transaction worth an equivalent amount of cash. They don’t process gift cards. 

I received my $37 payment with Ethereum just an hour after submitting my redemption request, after the 3 MC premium they charged for my 40 MC redemption.

Moonspin Customer Support 

The customer support at Moonspin is very good. I’m always a big advocate of live chat support, which Moonspin has. I like the dedicated Discord server, which is pretty rare across sweeps casino’s I’ve played at. 

To evaluate Moonspin’s customer support availability, I scrolled down to the bottom of their website and clicked “Help.” I also adjusted the language of their user interface from English to Portuguese, Spanish, Norwegian, and Finnish using the language menu button. 

I clicked “Send Us A Message”, and I was directed to chat with Lucas, an AI chatbot featured on the website. I entered “Representative” into the chat bar, clicked “Send,” and clicked “Talk To An Expert” when prompted. 

I was connected to Cody just thirty seconds later, and I asked him about their KYC process. He explained that I’d have to submit a copy of my driver’s license and a moving video selfie. I was satisfied with the depth and quality of our conversation. It helps that he replied in seconds. 

I returned to Moonspin’s chat feature and clicked “Submit A Ticket.” I watched as the chat box expanded into a full-blown ticket submission form, entered a subject line, typed a message and clicked Submit. I received a lengthy response from an agent named Paul two hours after the fact.

Technically speaking, Moon Coins are a token that’s used to enter sweepstakes contests for real prizes. This model means the the games at Moonspin are not considered gambling from a legal perspective, and the reason the site is free to operate in states where real money gambling is not legal. 

How to Redeem Prizes at Moonspin 

Before I exchanged my Moon Coins for crypto prizes, I had to complete their KYC procedure. I’ll walk you through an overview of the steps I followed to verify my identity with Moonspin Casino. 

Firstly, I clicked “Redeem” and “Get Verified” to begin.

What’s the Difference Between Moonspin and a Real Money Casino? 

Moonspin is a social casino that doesn’t accept cash wagers. Social casinos like Moonspin don’t require a gambling license and can operate in U.S. states that don’t allow real money gambling.

I received 10,000 GC and 1 MC immediately after signing up, and I claimed a total of 30,000 GC and 3 free MC over my first three days as a new player. I claimed 1,000 GC every 2.5 hours and I got 0.3 MC every 90 minutes. It’s easy to keep playing without buying any extra coins if you prefer not to, which I appreciate. .

Responsible Gameplay 

I’m happy to report that Moonspin has some pretty robust responsible gaming tools and resources, with some room for improvement too. 

To find them, I clicked the arrow next to my username at the top-right corner of my screen. I clicked “Profile” and “Responsible Play” on the next page. I was first directed to a screen allowing me to set up Reality Checks at hourly intervals using the slider. They show how long you’ve been logged in. 

I also saw that I could initiate a self-exclusion period for as many months as I wanted by using the arrow keys and clicking “Apply.” I clicked “Limits” from the left sidebar of my profile settings and discovered that I could set daily, weekly, and monthly purchasing limits up to any amount. 

Unfortunately, there’s no way to set MC play limits or session time limits – I have to dock a few points for this shortcoming. I did like that I could see my gameplay history and “Action” history, which is another way to show your wins and losses at a glance. 

I scrolled to the bottom of Moonspin’s website and clicked “Responsible Gameplay Policy” to learn more about their approach to safer gaming. While they claim to offer MC play limits, this feature isn’t listed in their “Limits” section. This is a discrepancy I’d like to see changed ASAP. 

As I continued reading, I saw that I could “Take A Break” for a period of 1 day, 3 days, 7 days, 14 days, or 30 days by sending a request via their contact form with the subject “Responsible Social Gameplay Options.” They mention a self-assessment, but they don’t link to it anywhere. 

They encourage struggling players to get in touch with Gaming Addicts Anonymous (GAA), the Financial Counseling Association of America (FCAA), and the National Foundation for Credit Counseling (NFCC). However, they don’t provide links to any of these resources on the site.
