I clicked “Get $20” from Wanna Parlay’s home screen, selected “Share Invite Link,” and sent it over. They made a new account, deposited $25 with no bonus applied, and spent $25 entering contests. After they purchased qualifying entries, I received $20 in withdrawable money. 

This was a great deal for me, but less so for my colleague who missed out on their own Wanna Parlay promo. 

Wanna Parlay User Experience 

Wanna Parlay is pretty easy to use, especially once you’ve got a handle on the different types of contests. A lot is going on in the app, but they do a good job of presenting all the information in a logical way. 

You can’t play at Wanna Parlay on your laptop, which is a shame. Although they have a desktop website, it just redirects you to download the app, which I could do via the App Store using my iPhone 16. 

Android users won’t find the Wanna Parlay app in the Google Play Store. Instead, you’ll have to download their secure APK file directly from Wanna Parlay’s site. 

Mobile App 

I enjoyed using the Wanna Parlay app a lot. Their unique form of DFS and multiple contests means the interface could easily be confusing. Still, I appreciated the care that has gone into making the software accessible for new players. 

Wanna Parlay guides you through the process of making a new account and depositing cash with simple instructions, so I never felt overwhelmed as a complete beginner to the platform. 

Once my account was set up, I could see my balance and deposit funds by clicking the Plus tab at the top of the screen. I used the top row of menu icons to see the past winners for each event, refer my friends, and claim the 100% deposit match. All of the contests are collected in the main “Lobby” page. 

When I first signed up, I was prompted to watch a series of “How To” videos explaining how the different types of contests work. I found this really helpful, and it’s another example of how Wanna Parlay is actively thinking about how to make life easier for beginners. 

Browsing through the different contests, I found the filtering system useful for understanding what I saw on the screen. The filters are collapsable, so after you turn them on they hide to save space on the screen. 

Entering a contest and designing a parlay is as simple as selecting your legs from the markets that appear. It feels pretty similar to building a parlay on a traditional sportsbook, and you see your odds update in real-time as you add more selections. 

Once your parlay is eligible to be submitted in a contest the betslip turns green, which I thought was a nice visual cue. I like how the Leaderboard Rules are prominently displayed when you open a contest, so you know exactly what you’re getting into.

You can chat with other players in the contest while it’s ongoing, see anyone who is already out via the “Busted” tab and keep track of the bettors left in the  “Still Alive.” I appreciated having this information at my fingertips, and I had even more fun trash-talking other users’ picks. 

Wanna Parlay’s “Buzz” page is a fun addition, too. It’s a feed of sports-related videos, which I could watch without requiring me to visit their official YouTube page. 

You can like, comment, and share videos from this page just like you would on social media. It’s cool to see Wanna Parlay prioritizing interaction at every turn, and their focus on making players feel heard enhanced my betting experience personally. 

Finally, if you need to speak with support or adjust your account settings, open the top-left menu. You can deposit or withdraw funds, invite your friends, change your account information, leave an App Store review, and text their support agents with just a few clicks. 

Overall, I enjoyed using Wanna Parlay. A desktop version would be nice, but it’s not a deal-breaker, given the app's quality.

Wanna Parlay Contests and Features

At Wanna Parlay, you enter contests against other players by placing parlays. If your parlay is successful, you receive a certain amount of points. Your points determine your final position in the contest leaderboard, and players who finish in the top positions get cash prizes.

You’re essentially trying to earn as many points as possible without creating a combination that is so unlikely that you shoot yourself in the foot. Depending on what contest you enter, you’ll qualify for prizes if your name ranks in the top 85 leaderboard positions after their event.

Let’s take a closer look: 

1. Parlay of the Day (Free Entry)

Wanna Parlay has one free entry contest each day, ending at midnight before the clock resets for a fresh start. At the time of my review, I was going up against 300 other players. 

Here are the prizes for the Parlay of the Day contest:

1. First place - $10

2. Second place - $10

3. Third place - $10

4. Fourth place - $8

5. Fifth place - $8

You can decide whether to shoot for the stars and aim for the top three, but it's easier to play it safe in exchange for a lower (but more likely) payout. I participated in their Sunday event, which allowed me to put together picks on basketball, hockey and soccer.

To qualify, I needed at least five points and two picks. I bet on a single NBA winner and two NHL winners, which would get me 5.45 points (and qualify me for a fourth-place finish) if my parlay was correct. You can mix it up with spread bets, total bets, player picks, and team picks. 

It’s cool how you can swipe up before you place a pick to see how it would theoretically rank on their leaderboards. This feature allowed me to check other players’ parlays and gauge my picks accordingly.

These contests are available for DFS bettors in all 50 states and Washington, D.C.

2. The Main Event 

“The Main Event” is the most popular paid contest. It is available in 22 US states. 

“The Main Event” happens once per week. It requires you to select at least one player pick and diversify your parlay with at least two different events, so you must submit at least three legs to win prizes. This event will cost $2 for each parlay you enter. 

You only need to submit one parlay to qualify for a prize, but you can submit up to 25 parlays to give yourself a better chance of winning. 

Because of all the people who’d already submitted their selections, I was tasked with earning at least 9.65 points to qualify for a win. The top eighty-five players split the final purse each week, and the top five contestants receive prizes of $2,000, $500, $400, $300, and $200, respectively. 

It’s worth noting that the first-place winner for events like these will have to create parlays with a whopping 14, 15, or even 16 legs. It’s great to earn points this way, but remember that every leg needs to hit - otherwise, you won’t get paid. 

I bet the under on Club Tijuana, took the spread for Washington State on a co-occurring NCAAM match-up, and predicted Malik Thomas would score more than 23.5 points under “Player Picks.” 

This parlay qualified me for the forty-third leaderboard position with 8.18 points, which would get me an expected $20 payout if things went according to plan. Spoiler alert: they did not. 

3. Pick 2 - Pick 7 

Wanna Parlay hosts Pick 2, Pick 3, Pick 4, Pick 5, Pick 6, and Pick 7 events daily. It costs $10 to enter a single two, three, four, five, six or seven-legged parlay for Pick 2 - Pick 7 events. 

You’ll need to submit parlays earning a minimum of three points for Pick 2, five points for Pick 3, nine points for Pick 4, 16 points for Pick 5, 28 points for Pick 6, or 50 points for Pick 7 contests. 

Here’s a look at the full range of cash prizes on offer for Pick 2 - 7 contests: 

You can meet Pick 2 - 7 requirements by choosing at least one player pick and going for at least two different events. I like how their rules are structured identically for each contest, making things simple for newbies to understand. All that changes is the number of points/legs required.

It’s also possible to bet on multiple outcomes involving the same game. While they aren’t labelled as such, Wanna Parlay offers same-game parlays as long as they match the required number of points and legs.

I enjoyed the process of building my parlays. Part of the fun here is putting together bold combinations, seeing how they rank, and starting from scratch to find the most advantageous selections. 

I bet on the St. Louis Cardinals and the New York Mets to score over 13.5 runs in total. Then, I bet on the Edmonton Oilers and Buffalo Sabres to score over 6.5 goals in total. This got me up to 3 points and qualified me for a prize, but I needed a player pick to satisfy their final leg. 

This brought me to another event entirely, where I bet on Kam Woods to score over 15.5 points. Once finished, I swiped up on the screen to see how my parlay would rank. When I locked in my picks, they would have gotten me a first-place finish. 

Of course, my 6.29 points could be outdone by another user down the line, therefore stealing my spot on the leaderboard. 

4. Parlay Royale 

Wanna Parlay’s daily “Parlay Royale” contest is made for high rollers. The first-place winner takes home $1,000, but if you rank in second through twenty-fifth place, you will earn $500. 

Here’s the catch - a single entry will cost you $50, which far exceeds the $2 - $10 limits in place for their other contests. Additionally, you can’t submit multiple entries for this event. Every player has one chance to submit their selections, differing from “The Main Event” and Pick 2 - 7 events. 

To qualify for prizes, my parlay needed to cover at least two events and one player pick while earning a minimum of 13 points. 

I wagered on an NBA match-up, predicted that the Nets would put up less than 215.5 points, and bet the Charlotte Hornets would beat the Heat by more than 9.5 points. Then, I went into the Brooklyn Nets match-up and chose two player picks for Cam Thomas and Keon Johnson.  

In total, my five-legged parlay landed 24.09 points and qualified me for a first-place finish if all went according to plan. 

5. Hotshot Hero 

Wanna Parlay’s “Hotshot Hero” contest takes place every week for basketball enthusiasts. You can submit up to 10 parlays if you’re feeling confident, and each entry will cost you just $10 to submit. 

The first-place contestant wins $1,000; the next 20 ranked players take home $500 each. While this contest is more financially accessible than their “Parlay Royale” contest, it’s far more difficult to qualify for a prize. 

Their “Parlay Royale” has a minimum requirement of 13 points for each parlay, but each parlay for “Hotshot Hero” must have at least 70 points to qualify you for prizes. 

I had to enter seven Player Picks across two events to meet this stipulation, so I went down the list for Pepperdine v. Saint Mary’s to predict over/under. Then, I wagered on PJay Smith to score more than 17.5 points during another NCAAM game. This leg boosted my points total to 143.73. 

When I locked in my bets, my parlay would have qualified me for a first-place finish. But players can see and out-do your parlays as the action picks up. My advice? Don’t take it personally. 

6. Hockey Hero 

Wanna Parlay’s “Hockey Hero” contest takes place every week, awarding a top prize of $1,000 to the first-place winner and a consolation prize of $500 to the twenty next-best players. As the name suggests, this contest is geared solely towards hockey enthusiasts. 

You can enter this contest with a qualifying parlay for $10, and you can submit up to 100 parlays for another $10 each. Each entry must have at least one player pick, cover at least two events, and gather at least 50 points to qualify you for prizes. 

I bet on Charlie Coyle to score at least one goal against the Colorado Avalanche. Then, I bet on Philippe Myers to score the first goal against the Utah Hockey Club. Even though my parlay had just two legs, it earned me a whopping 361.10 points and a first-place finish if my picks were correct.

Wanna Parlay Deposits & Withdrawals 

Making deposits and withdrawals at Wanna Parlay is straightforward. They’ve optimized their purchase process for beginners, and they performed my KYC check manually after I uploaded a picture of my ID and proof of address. 

They accept fewer payment methods than most regular sportsbooks, but they’ve covered the basics with compatibility for bank cards, Apple Pay, Venmo and PayPal. Let’s take a closer look:

Requesting a withdrawal is just as easy as making your first deposit. Here’s how it worked for me:

1. I clicked the top-right menu button, opened “Wallet,” and clicked “Withdraw” on the following screen. 

2. I could request a minimum of $15 in cash prizes, but you can withdraw a maximum of $2,000 per transaction. 

3. I chose to request prizes via debit. After entering the amount of cash ($100) I wanted to withdraw, I was prompted to confirm my card information.
