Sports betting became legal in New Hampshire in July 2019 when Governor Chris Sununu signed HB 480, allowing for retail and online sports betting. DraftKings was the state’s first online sportsbook, going live on Dec. 30, 2019. While the state allows up to five online sports betting licenses, DraftKings currently has an exclusive deal with the New Hampshire Lottery. Both online and retail sports betting are legal in New York. In August 2019, Oregon introduced its first retail sportsbook at Chinook WIns Casino Resort. Soon after, the Oregon Lottery launched its own online sportsbook, powered by SBTech's technology, which has exclusive rights to mobile sports betting in the state. However, when DraftKings acquired SBTech, they came to an agreement with the Oregon Lottery and took over as the sole statewide online sportsbook.
