How to Bet on the NBA - Popular Bet Types

Moneyline

Betting on the money line is the simplest of all bets. All you do is choose which team will win the game straight up.

Point Spread

When you bet on the spread in an NBA game, it means the sportsbook will favor one team by a set amount of points.

NBA Prop Bets

Prop bets are wagers that are not tied to the game's outcome, for example, a player to score more than X points or Y rebounds. A fan-favorite NBA prop bet has become the combined over/under bets on a player's total points, rebounds, and assists.

Parlay

A parlay bet combines multiple bets (called legs) into a single bet. For your bet to hit, each leg has to win. If you have a five-leg parlay and each of your first four legs is correct, but the fifth leg loses, then your bet is unsuccessful. 

The more legs you add to your parlay, the higher the final odds of the bet will be, and the more your winnings will be if it hits.
