The Tohono O'odham Nation owns and runs the Desert Diamond Casino, which features the online sports betting platform Desert Diamond Sportsbook.
Sports betting has been legal in Arizona since September 2021. Many of the biggest multi-state sportsbooks in the US - like DraftKings, BetMGM, and BetRivers - are already up and running in the Grand Canyon State. Have a look at the best sportsbook bonuses available in Arizona.
We love to see the local options jostling for position with the big dogs, and we’re happy to say that we’ve found plenty to like about Desert Diamond since it launched in 2022.
In this review, I'm going through the entire platform with a fine-toothed comb to figure out exactly what’s great about Desert Diamond and where I think it can still be improved.
Let’s jump in.

Take it from us - rating a sportsbook is no simple business. There are an awful lot of factors that go into deciding how good a sportsbook really is and, just as importantly, how it stacks up against the alternatives.
We’ve developed a detailed methodology for all of our reviews, which examines each sportsbook under a series of individual categories, before putting them all together and assessing the whole package.
Each of our experts has to dig deep into things like software, bonuses, types of bets and sports, banking methods, customer support, site security, mobile betting, apps, and much more. It’s a painstaking process, and we do it for every single site we review.
On the whole, Desert Diamond has come through this process with flying colors. There are some things we love (like the on-going promos and the range of sports available) and some things we don’t (like the comparatively small number of payment methods available).
It’s all covered - the good and the bad - in this review.
No one has the same experience with online sportsbooks and casinos that WSN has. Don’t believe us? Just check out our sportsbook page.
We’ve taken the time to get to know just about every major sportsbook in the US, including single-state sites like Desert Diamond. All of our reviews are detailed and honest to a tee - if there’s something we don’t like about a sportsbook, we call it out in plain English for our audience to understand.
Most of all though, our experts are just old-fashioned gambling fans. We love betting on sports and we’ve been doing it most of our adult lives, so we know what to look for and where the experience can fall down.

For the time being, Desert Diamond is exclusively available in the state of Arizona. In fact, it’s even more specific: you must be physically present within Arizona state lines but not on Indian land.
This is part of the legal requirements enforced by the Arizona Department of Gaming in agreement with Indian Nations in the state.
I certainly wouldn’t be surprised if Desert Diamond made the transition into more states in the future, but for now, you can only play Desert Diamond in Arizona.
When it comes to bonuses and promotions, they play a crucial role for sportsbooks like Desert Diamond. These are the main tools they use to differentiate themselves from the competition and convince Arizona residents to choose them over other multi-state books.
The team at Desert Diamond has clearly invested time and energy in creating interesting promos for both new and existing players. You can find all the offers currently available in the "Promotions" section of the website, which is regularly updated for virtually all major sports. If you decide to join, it's recommended to check this section since the offers get updated all the time. At the moment, you can find the following promos.
I really appreciate the multipart welcome bonuses at Desert Diamond. They're great because new players can snag a mix of different promos all at once.
First up, you’ll get a 100% match bonus on your first deposit, which maxes out at $250. It's a solid deal, but there are other sites offering a similar bonus with a higher maximum
But then Desert Diamond also throws in a $25 free bet, which sweetens the deal even more.
Desert Diamond sweetens the deal even more by throwing in a $25 free bet. But what truly sets this bonus apart are the wagering requirements. To unlock the cash, you only need to bet your entire bonus plus your original deposit once. Each time you place a bet, half will be deducted from your bonus cash balance, and the other half from your real money balance.
For example, let's say you deposit $100 and receive a $100 bonus, making it a total of $200. If you place a $20 bet, $10 of bonus cash will be used along with $10 of regular cash.
Overall, I really like this welcome bonus, though it would be even better if the $250 limit could be improved. The best part is that you don't need a promo code to claim the bonus. But, to be fair, for one state sportsbook, this is an excellent welcome offer.
Any time you place a bet on a game involving an Arizona side - college or pro - within an hour before the game starts, you’ll receive a 5% boost on your profits. You can even bet against Arizona and still claim the boost, which I find kind of funny, but I'm not complaining!
This offer works for all types of bets. Even if you just add an Arizona game to your parlay bet, it is more than enough to get a 5% boost.
This is a simple promo but also fun and valuable. This is the kind of thing Desert Diamond excels at.
This is an on-going promo available on all parlays. All you need to do is build your parlay and select the “Boost” button in the bet slip. For every leg you add after your third leg, you’ll receive a 3% boost.
So, a three-leg parlay gets a 3% boost, a five-leg parlay gets 9%, and so on.
Again, this promo is nice and easy to understand but it is also a genuine opportunity to win some extra cash.
I suggest taking a look at the Promotions tab on your own, but I've noticed that Desert Diamond often features fantastic offers related to specific sports or upcoming events. Look out for additional profit boosts, money-back deals, or free bets.
Overall, I love the variety of promos at Desert Diamond.
Modern sportsbooks have simplified the signup process to make it as quick and easy as possible, and that’s the case with Desert Diamond. Click the blue “Register” button to get started. You need to provide your personal information. Don't worry, this is a standard procedure mandated by the state to gather necessary details. It will request the following information:
Full name
Address
Date of birth
Phone Number
Create a password
Four digits from your SSN
You’ll also need to check a few boxes confirming your identity and that you accept the sportsbook's terms and conditions, along with an optional box deciding whether you want to receive promotional news and offers.
Your SSN info is required because Desert Diamond needs to verify the identity of its members. Depending on your info, you may need to provide some additional documentation for this process later.
Finally, click the “register” button and you’re all set!
The betting options at Desert Diamond are very good and certainly competitive with the other sportsbooks in Arizona.
The menu is set up in the classic format. Click on a sport and you’ll see the most popular games and bets in that category: moneylines, point spreads, and totals.
Click into an individual game and you’ll find the full range of other bets available, which typically means a very healthy range of props for the top sports.
The “Live Right Now” button is a shortcut to Desert Diamond’s in-play section, which has similar betting options. There’s also a Diamond Boosts section, which shows bets that have been chosen for enhanced odds.
Placing bets, including building parlays, is nice and easy thanks to the betslip, which pops up from the bottom of the screen whenever you add a selection.
All in all, I'm very satisfied with the betting options at Desert Diamond. It's on par with other sportsbooks in Arizona.
Here’s a list of some of the most popular bets you can find:
Totals
Player Props (Throwing Yards/Points/Tackles/Layups etc)
Team Props (Total Rushing Yards/Half Time Score/Number of Corners etc)
Same-Game Parlay Building
I'm also very pleased with the range of sports on offer.
The depth is genuinely really impressive, and it feels like Desert Diamond really has an edge over a lot of other books in the variety of sports on offer.
The number of bets on the most popular sports, like the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, and soccer, is seriously impressive.
There are also some pretty niche sports on the menu, like surfing and water polo, as well as fun categories like TV and novelty bets.
Below is a full list of the sports available during our Desert Diamond review. Remember, this gets updated from time to time, too.

Overall, I like the software at Desert Diamond without being totally blown away at the same time. Let me explain what I meant by that.
First and foremost, and most importantly, the platform is nice, easy to use, and beginner friendly. The entire site is more or less split into two screens: the betting interface and the promotions section. Navigating around and placing bets feels natural.
There are some nice touches that improve the user experience too. I appreciate how they show the total number of bets next to each sport in the menu, and I like how the bet slip disappears from the screen when you're not using it.
The site is pretty minimal, which on the whole is a positive thing for me. I hate when sportsbooks bombard me with pop-ups and promotions constantly.
On the flip side of that, it’s not the most exciting platform I've ever seen. Desert Diamond has gone for function over style, and some of you may prefer something with more bells and whistles.
The FAQ section is good, but it’s hidden at the bottom of the page. I'd prefer to see it in the main menu, along with the Promotions tab. The last thing I need when searching for help is to have a hard time finding FAQ.
I also tested the Desert Diamond mobile app. While it's not the worst I've seen, it can't compare to the likes of FanDuel or DraftKings.
That said, it feels like the mobile platform is improving slowly over time, with reviews on the Google Play Store trending favorably, but it still has a long way to go.
Simple and beginner friendly
Clean blue and white color scheme and layout
Placing bets is very easy
Excellent Promotions section showcasing all the latest offers
Chat support button is always available on-screen at all times
Design feels a little basic
No dedicated customer support section in the main menu
Chat support is not available 24 hours
My banking experience at Desert Diamond was good, but there is room to improve.
First up, the actual methods. They've got the major payment methods covered – credit cards, debit cards, and bank transfers. However, there are a few gaps. It would be great to have an e-wallet service, such as PayPal, included.
There is a $10 minimum on all deposits, which is normal, and the transaction process is fairly fast, which is great.
When it comes to withdrawing, your money will be sent back to the same method you last used to deposit. So if you used a bank transfer to deposit money, you'll get your money using the same method. So keep that in mind when depositing.
In terms of processing times, withdrawals tend to hit your account within 3 to 6 business days. This is pretty much standard for the industry with the above mentioned methods. It's not the fastest method I used, but I've seen slower.
Overall, I had a pleasant banking experience at Desert Diamond, but I wish to see them add a couple more payment methods.

I'm more than satisfied with Desert Diamond from a legal and security perspective. The sportsbooks is the online sports betting platform of the Desert Diamond Casino, owned and operated by the Tohono O'odham Nation since 1999.
While multi-state or even international sportsbooks are equally scrupulous when it comes to adhering to local laws and regulations, there is still something reassuring about choosing a platform with deep roots in Arizona and multiple physical locations too, instead of it being online only like some of sportsbooks present in the state.
Desert Diamond is fully licensed and regulated by the Arizona Department of Gaming, a legal requirement for all sportsbooks operating in the state. The ADG exists to make sure all its licensed platforms are operating fairly and to provide consumer protection in the event of disputes.
I feel confident about the security of Desert Diamond. They ensure the protection of all your personal information, keeping it private and not sharing it with third parties. Additionally, there haven't been any reports of a data breach.
There are also links and resources to promote responsible gambling displayed on the site, which I love to see on any sportsbook or casino.
The customer support at Desert Diamonds is good, and with a couple of tweaks, it could be even better.
First, the positives: I like that the chat support button is always visible on the page in the bottom right corner. The FAQ section is detailed and thorough and nine times out of ten, you’ll find whatever you’re looking for here. There’s also a telephone support line, which is not always the case but is indeed very welcomed.
And the places for potential improvements: the chat support is not available 24/7 and instead only runs during business hours. While the FAQ section is great, it’s a little hidden at the bottom of the page. I believe it would be better if it were included in the main menu, which would make it easier to access when you need help.
