Closer Look at the Best Boxing Betting Sites

The following online sportsbooks are not only leading platforms in the US but are excellent choices for betting on boxing. Each has its own strengths, so I’ve explained them so you can see which of these boxing sportsbooks is ideal for you.

1. bet365

PayNearMe Sportsbooks bet365

bet365 is recognized as a top player in the betting industry worldwide. Since it is a global leader, it has an impressive selection of betting markets, including boxing, that you might not necessarily find in other sportsbooks.

Bettors can explore typical and specialized betting markets, such as predicting the exact round a fight will end, group round betting, and the total punches thrown and landed. You can find specific bet boosts for certain fights at the top of the page when exploring the markets.

Rather than organized by fight then markets, bet365 bucks the trend by displaying the markets then fights. I liked how they laid this out so that I could compare different fights side by side.

Live betting was also excellent; I could quickly and easily bet on fights as they happened while accessing detailed stats. There’s a dedicated section for live streaming, where you can watch the action unfold as you place your bets.

Besides this, bettors can choose between two generous welcome bonuses to explore the different boxing markets, benefit from a clean and easy-to-use platform, and enjoy mobile betting through its excellent app.

2. FanDuel

Fanduel boxing

FanDuel has earned the title of the most popular sportsbook in the US in terms of total betting revenue. Considering this feat, it is no surprise that it is a great choice for boxing fans.

Bettors can find a varied selection of bets for each fight. When you choose a fight, you can explore moneyline bets, round props, and method of victory props, as well as others. Sometimes, a few unique betting markets are available, like predicting the number of punches a boxer will land. You can also benefit from competitive odds.

Whenever I want to bet from my phone, FanDuel is my top choice. If you want to place boxing bets on the move, the FanDuel mobile app is fantastic. You can quickly and easily access your account, view markets, and place your bets.

It delivers a user-friendly, intuitive, and seamless experience, ensuring convenient betting at all times. Other users clearly agree, as the app boasts a 4.9/5 rating on the App Store and 4.6/5 on the Google Play Store, making it the top-rated sportsbook app.

3. Caesars Sportsbook

Caesars Sportsbook Odds Boost section

Caesars is a renowned name in the entertainment and hospitality industry, offering a premium online sportsbook that is reflective of its brand. This is the palace to be for those wanting luxury combined with betting on boxing. Betting markets for boxing include moneylines, method of victory, round betting, total rounds, and other special prop bets.

Caesars is known for providing odds boosts across multiple sports, including boxing. For major fights, bettors can benefit from these offers. If you enjoy the thrill of live betting, this is also offered on boxing, letting you place bets as you watch an event.

Every boxing bet you place allows you to accumulate credits in the ‘Caesars Rewards' program. I love this loyalty scheme, as it offers unbeatable value and rewards for members. Your credits can be redeemed for a range of benefits linked to the Caesars brand, including discounts on hotel stays, room upgrades, special events, gift cards for shopping, and dining vouchers.

4. BetMGM Sportsbook

BetMGM Boxing sportsbook

BetMGM is well-known in the betting industry, operating as the online sportsbook arm of MGM Resorts. Common boxing bets include the result, if the fight will go full ten rounds, when the fight will be won, and the method of victory.

Bettors can also find specific bets on individual and group round betting, letting them wager on the winner of particular rounds. BetMGM has a ‘Boxing News’ section with articles about updates, fight cards, odds, predictions, and the previous performances of boxers. I found it very useful to read this before placing any bets.

My favorite part of BetMGM is the array of promotions that are available. For boxing betting, you can take advantage of a huge welcome bonus, referral bonuses, and you can even find boxing-specific bonuses around major fights.

Every boxing bet you make contributes to the ‘MGM Rewards’ scheme, where you can receive exciting rewards. Another highlight is the live betting, where you can watch certain fights live and see detailed stats while you bet.

5. Crab Sports

Crabs sports boxing

Launched in 2014, Crab Sports is an online sportsbook exclusive to Maryland. Given that this platform isn’t an industry giant, I was pleased to see that boxing was available.

You won’t find as many markets or events as other sportsbooks on this list, but there are still popular boxing fights available. Typically, you can just bet on the fight winner.

The focus on simplicity extends to Crab Sports’ minimal approach to betting; it has a clean and well-organized platform so that you can place your bets quickly with no hassle. You’re not overwhelmed by a huge range of markets and bets, which is why it is a fantastic option for newcomers to betting.

6. BetRivers

BetRivers Boxing sportsbook

BetRivers provides a reliable and straightforward online sportsbook that is ideal for beginners.

When it comes to boxing betting, you can wager on moneylines, total rounds, to go the distance, method of victory, and round betting. These markets are typically available for most fights, so you always have a decent selection, no matter how small the event. Live betting is also available, so you can place bets in the heat of the moment, keeping involved throughout a fight.

BetRivers’ strength lies in simplicity. Sportsbooks can often feel overwhelming and cluttered with options, but this is not the case for this platform. It has a straightforward and user-friendly design, making it easy for a beginner to navigate and place their boxing bets in a few clicks. You can also explore valuable tips and in-depth stats on the site before placing any bets.

7. Borgata

Boxing Sportsbook Borgata

Borgata is owned by MGM Resorts, so you’ll find many similarities to BetMGM, both offering a premium betting experience. It is only available for bettors in New Jersey.

For most boxing events, only moneylines and three-way moneylines are typically offered. However, there is still good coverage across weight classes.

A fantastic benefit is that MGM Rewards is attached to Borgata, so with every bet that you place for boxing, you’ll earn credits for this scheme. What really sets Borgata apart for me is its live betting. You can benefit from detailed stats and live streaming, so that you can make well-informed decisions on your next boxing match based on real-time information.

8. DraftKings

Best Boxing Betting Sites DraftKings

DraftKings is a platform that consistently delivers excellence in all areas, providing an innovative and cutting-edge betting experience. It is well-regarded for its comprehensive coverage of sports, offering extensive betting options across popular and less mainstream events.

In terms of boxing, you can find more available events than most other sportsbooks. However, there isn’t as much variation in the types of bets offered aside from the biggest events, and it’s generally limited to moneylines.

Nevertheless, you can still benefit from excellent odds for these bets. You can also find boxing news updates and a guide on how to bet on boxing on the platform.

Beyond this, DraftKings has an excellent mobile app, tons of interesting features, low minimum deposit, and fast withdrawals. Exploring the platform is a seamless and enjoyable experience. It might seem that a lot is happening on this platform, but I’m impressed in how it manages to achieve the right balance of being easy to use for beginners yet complex and detailed enough for seasoned bettors.

Boxing bettors can find a range of major and minor events with moneylines, fight props, round props, and specials offered. Sometimes, there are odds boosts available for major fights.

I love how ESPN Bet incorporates ESPN’s exclusive sports coverage and analysis into its platform. When placing your boxing bets, you can use in-depth sports journalism for more informed wagers.

Live betting is also enhanced through ESPN’s expansive access to sports data, offering real-time updates and insights during a fight. Whether using the website or app, navigating the platform is a delight with a fresh, clean, and intuitive design.

How Do We Rate - Our Methodology

Our content is shaped by our direct and personal experience with each betting site. We invest a considerable amount of time in exploring and testing out the features, as we are convinced that this is the most practical way to gain a well-rounded perspective  of a platform.

Before we write a review, our writers must dedicate a week to evaluating a betting site, with at least six hours spent on the following areas:

  1. User Experience: Firstly, we explore the platform’s layout, ease of navigation, and visual design. Is it user-friendly? Is it better for experienced bettors or beginners? How does it function across various devices, like desktop and mobile?

  2. Bets and Features: We examine the range and depth of sports and betting markets offered, looking for a good mix of mainstream and lesser-known sports. We also explore special features like live betting, streaming, early cash-outs, picking services, DFS, and other interesting tools. When it comes to boxing, we like to see unique markets and prop bets that go beyond simple moneyline picks.

  3. Promos and Bonuses: We actively participate in all promotions, such as welcome bonuses, ongoing offers, competitions, and loyalty schemes. This allows us to see the true value of these promotions. We meticulously review the terms and conditions to ensure there’s nothing to trip you up. We love boxing odds boosts and other interesting boxing promos.

  4. Banking: We make real money transactions to test the process of depositing and withdrawing funds. We assess the variety of payment methods, transaction speed, and overall ease of transactions. How easy and straightforward is this process? How fast are withdrawals?

  5. Customer Support: We test customer support by contacting them through channels like live chat, email, and phone. How convenient is it to speak to an agent? How quick are their responses? Are they friendly and informative? We also explore the FAQ section to see how helpful that is.

After publishing a review, our post-publications editors allocate five hours each month to ensure our content is up-to-date and reflects any changes.

How To Place Your First Boxing Wager

Setting up your account and placing your first boxing bet is quite simple and generally follows a similar process at any online sportsbook you choose. Below, I’ve added a guide to walk you through the process at boxing betting sites:

  1. Research and check reviews.

Firstly, I’d recommend doing some research and looking at reliable reviews. You want to ensure you’re picking a sportsbook that is worthwhile and trustworthy. Coming across a well-researched and thorough review can be difficult, which is where WSN comes in. We provide everything in one place, so you don’t have to scroll through countless websites for betting information. It’s important to look at whether the sportsbook meets your preferences, checking promotions, payment methods, markets, and other factors. We cover all these features in our reviews to provide you with a detailed understanding of what each sportsbook offers.

  1. Register your account.

Once you’ve picked your sportsbook, locate and click the “Sign Up”, “Register”, or “Join Now” button on the main page. You may need to choose your state initially to verify that you’re in a legal location. Then, you’ll be guided to a registration page to fill out your personal information, like your email, full name, and password for your new account.

  1. Complete verification checks.

In the US, sportsbooks typically require verification checks to be completed before you can access their platforms. After you sign up, you may need to verify your identity through your phone number or email. Additionally, you’ll likely have to submit identification documents such as a passport or driver’s license, date of birth to confirm age eligibility, full address to ensure you’re in a legal location, and the last four digits of your SSN.

  1. Deposit funds.

After creating your account, you’ll need to fund your account to start betting and receive your welcome bonus. Most sportsbooks follow a similar process for this. Simply find the “Deposit” or “Add Funds” option in the menu or cashier section. Clicking on this will show the available payment methods, such as debit/credit cards, e-wallets, and bank transfers. Choose your preferred option, add the amount you want to deposit, and provide the necessary payment details. Deposits are typically processed instantly, so you can begin placing bets straight away.

  1. Claim your sign-up bonus.

Snagging your sign-up bonus is the best perk for a new player! Most sportsbooks will welcome you with a special bonus so that you can test out and explore the betting markets. Typically, they can be bonus bets, risk-free bets, or matched deposits, and are often the most generous promotion you’ll find at sportsbooks. Remember to use our promo codes when registering; you might not need a code for some sites, but it’ll be automatically credited after your initial deposit. If you’re unsure how to claim your welcome bonus, visit the promotions page or look through the terms and conditions for any requirements.

  1. Place your boxing bet.

Next, head to the boxing section to place your first bet. You’ll find a list of upcoming matches. Select a fight you’re interested in betting on and click it to see the available betting markets. Then, simply add your bet to your bet slip and set the amount that you want to wager.

  1. Withdraw winnings.

If you win your bet, you can claim your winnings by finding the ‘Withdrawal’ section.  Here, you’ll see your current balance and the available withdrawal methods. It’s pretty much the same as a deposit, but in reverse. Choose your method and select your amount. I’d suggest using the same method for deposits and withdrawals, as it just streamlines the process. Depending on your sportsbook and payment method, it can take anywhere from a few hours to several days for your payout to be available in your account. I prefer to use e-wallets if offered, as I know this is the fastest way to get my hands on my winnings.

As a sport, boxing doesn’t offer a huge range of betting options since it involves two fighters across twelve rounds; there aren’t many opportunities to wager on. However, online sportsbooks still offer a fair range of boxing bets for users.

Typically, the biggest fights have the widest variety of bets, but you might be more limited for smaller fights.

Moneyline

Boxing moneylines are straightforward bets where you predict who will win the fight. It’s the easiest kind of boxing bet. All you have to do is pick a boxer and bet your chosen amount. If your choice wins, then you’ll collect your payout. It can look like this:

Anthony Joshua (-670)

Daniel Dubois (+440)

The payout from a moneyline bet is based on the odds assigned to each boxer. Positive odds indicate a lower chance of winning, while negative odds represent the favorite. Here, Anthony Joshua is the favorite, and you would need to bet $670 to win $100, while a $100 bet on Dubois would win $440.

There is also a three-way moneyline bet available sometimes, which allows you to also bet on a tie. In a regular moneyline bet, a tie results in a push.

Individual & Group Round Betting

Individual round betting involves picking a winner for a specific round, for example, betting on Anthony Joshua to win Round 1.

On the other hand, group round betting allows you to wager on a range of rounds when you think the fight will end and who will win. For instance, you might wager that Anthony Joshua will win at some point in Rounds 4 to 6.

Round betting is a great way to bet on the favorite without having to accept very unfavorable odds.

Totals

A total bet in boxing involves wagering on whether the duration of a fight will be over or under a certain number of rounds. For this reason, it is also known as an Over/Under bet. For example, the sportsbook might set the line at 8.5 rounds for a 12-round fight, and you’ll wager on whether the fight will continue over or under 8.5 rounds.

Betting totals is a good option if you aren’t sure who will win, but you think you can predict the general pattern of a fight.

For instance, you might bet the Under if two exciting knockout artists are fighting. On the other hand, betting the Over is a good idea if two cagey technical fighters are squaring off.

Method of Victory

For this bet, you wager on the winner of a fight and how they will win it. The exact method of victory can vary depending on the sportsbooks, but it can include knockout, technical knockout, technical decision, disqualification, points, or a tie. Here’s an example:

Anthony Joshua by KO, TKO, or DQ (-278)

Anthony Joshua by Decision (+460)

Tie (+1700)

Daniel Dubois by KO, TKO, or DQ (+540)

Daniel Dubois by Decision (+2400)

Again, understanding the style of each fighter and how they match up is essential for this kind of bet.

Prop Bets

Prop bets in boxing cover a range of scenarios that aren’t necessarily related to the outcome. Common options include the total number of punches that a boxer will land, if a fight will end in a KO, or if the fight will go the distance. You’re more likely to find a variety of prop bets on the most popular events, but they’re not typically available for any standard fight.

Parlay Bets

A parlay allows you to bundle individual bets into one wager. Every single bet in the parlay must be right for it to win and pay out. For example, you might bet on the winner of the fight, the round they’ll win in, and their method of victory all together. While this bet can lead to higher rewards, it also comes with increased risk because of its all-or-nothing nature.

Live Betting

Bets can be placed during boxing matches in the heat of the action. The odds are changed based on real-time changes in the match, like the score, player performance, and other relevant factors. Bettors can react to the game as it happens and place their wagers. Again, this is usually offered for high-profile fights.

Boxing is one of the sports that is best suited to live betting. It’s one of the very few sports where the action can end at any moment, and one clean shot can cause a huge momentum swing. If you time your live bets well, you can take advantage of these swings.

Our Best Tips for Betting on Boxing

Betting on boxing can seem quite simple at first. In fact, there is a huge amount of strategy and analysis involved if you want to make successful wagers. Following these major tips can help you to make informed and potentially profitable bets:

Research the Boxers

Before you jump into online boxing betting sites, you want to be informed about who you are wagering on. Look at each boxer's recent performances, their age, fighting styles, injuries, strengths, and weaknesses. You should assess their stats, like their fight record, knockout rates, and past opponents. It can also be beneficial to watch their previous fights.

Another consideration is external factors that could have an effect like the location of the match, training camps, home advantage, travel, and motivation. The more you know and understand the boxers, the better positioned you’ll be to place a successful bet.

Understand the Weight Classes

Boxing is divided into multiple weight classes so that fights fairly occur between opponents of a similar size. Bettors need to understand that weight class can significantly impact the dynamics of the fight and what they should research beforehand - especially when a fighter is moving up or down a class for the first time.

While there are many weight classes, here are examples of the main ones:

  • Flyweight (Up to 112 pounds)

  • Bantamweight (Up to 118 pounds)

  • Featherweight (Up to 126 pounds)

  • Lightweight (Up to 135 pounds)

  • Welterweight (Up to 147 pounds)

  • Middleweight (Up to 160 pounds)

  • Light Heavyweight (Up to 175 pounds)

  • Cruiserweight (Up to 200 pounds)

  • Heavyweight (Over 200 pounds)

Watch the Weigh-Ins

It’s worth watching the weigh-ins, usually held the day before a fight, before confirming any bets. This isn’t just to see that the fighters are in their weight classes; you can assess their physical and mental condition. If there is a worrying sign, like struggling to hit the weight limit, physical changes, strange behavior, or nerves in their face-off with their opponent, you might not choose to bet on them.

Shop for the Best Odds

Odds can vary a lot between different sportsbooks. It’s beneficial for bettors to shop around on multiple platforms to find the best odds for boxing, which could lead to higher returns. I’ve listed my top ten options to explore above, to see which offers the best odds for your preferred betting market.

Bankroll Management

Practicing bankroll management is crucial in sports betting. The unpredictable nature of gambling means that even the most predictable bets might not win. So, it is important to establish a budget before making any bets so that you don’t overextend yourself. Your bets should be proportional to the size of your bankroll, and you shouldn’t bet more than you can afford to lose. If you feel it is getting out of your control, the best approach is to simply stop rather than chase your losses.

It’s important to approach online betting carefully and remind yourself that it is for entertainment. Always set a budget before betting and strictly stick to it. Don’t increase your betting to make up for any losses.
