By the end of the day Sunday, the field of 68 teams for the NCAA Tournament revealed last Sunday will be down to 16 teams. There are some high-level Round of 32 games set for Sunday, concluding what has been an amazing weekend of college basketball action. It’s also not too late to get a piece of the action at FanDuel. Let’s take a closer look at how to sign up for FanDuel and then place bets on two of the top games on Sunday’s schedule.
FanDuel has long been one of the most trusted and popular sportsbooks. That makes it a great option during March Madness, especially for those who are new to the world of sports betting because of how easy it is to navigate and use.
On top of that, FanDuel always has attractive profit boosts and other promos to help users increase their profits. During the NCAA Tournament, they’ve been providing users with parlay insurance just because of how unpredictable the tournament can be. Of course, for new users, FanDuel is offering up to $200 in free bets. Here’s how you can make that happen:
Click the WSN link to get to the FanDuel sign-up page.
Create your new FanDuel account, which will only take a couple of minutes to complete.
Fund your new account with at least a $10 deposit.
Place a better on any March Madness game and receive 10 times that amount up to $200, regardless of whether your bet wins or losses.
Enjoy the bonus funds by continuing to use your bonus bets on more March Madness games.
FanDuel’s promo for new users is ideal for everyone, especially this time of year when there are several NCAA Tournament games every day. Other promos will only give you bonus bets if your first bet loses. Obviously, you have nothing to complain about if you win your first bet. But bonus funds are akin to risk-free bets that allow you to profit without the risk of losing money.
However, FanDuel distinguishes itself from other sportsbooks by giving you bonus bets after your first bet, win or lose. The other benefit of this FanDuel promo is that you don’t have to bet more than $20 to max out on $200 worth of free bets. Other sportsbooks may offer $200 in free bets, but you have to place an initial bet of $200 to get there. That’s not the case with FanDuel; you get 10 times your first bet no matter what. If you bet $10, you get $100 in free bets while a mere $20 bet earns you $200 in free bets. In other words, you don’t necessarily need to bet a lot to get a lot with FanDuel.
It’ll be a battle of the upper midwest when the no. 2 Marquette Golden Eagles face the no. 7 Michigan State Spartans for a spot in the Sweet 16. The Spartans endured plenty of ups and downs during the latter part of the season but looked ready for the NCAA Tournament with a convincing win over USC on Friday. MSU is led by a terrific trio of Tyson Walker, Joey Hauser, and A.J. Hoggard. Walker and Hauser both average over 14 points per game and shoot better from 40% from three-point range. Meanwhile, Hoggard averages 12.5 points and six assists per game to lead one of the Big Ten’s most efficient offenses.
On the other side, the Golden Eagles are one of the hottest teams in the country, winning 15 of their last 16 games. Marquette managed to keep a tricky Vermont team under wraps on Friday despite only getting eight points and four assists from Tyler Kolek, who averages 13.1 points and 7.6 assists per game. Typically, Kolek orchestrates an offense that ranks sixth nationally in KenPom’s adjusted offensive efficiency. The Golden Eagles feature three other double-digit scorers, including Kam Jones, who averages 15.1 points per game and has a team-high 96 made three-pointers this season.
The Spartans are surely capable of winning this game, which is why they are only a three-point underdog. Michigan State has had one-point losses this year against both Gonzaga and Purdue, so they can play with elite teams. However, the Spartans have just six wins over teams in the NCAA Tournament while the Golden Eagles are flying high and on an incredible run. Look for Marquette to pull away late and cover the three-point spread on its way to the Sweet 16.

One of the tightest betting lines among Sunday’s Round of 32 games is the matchup in the South Region between the no. 3 Baylor Bears and the no. 6 Creighton Blue Jays. The Bears are slight 1.5-point favorites after a comfortable win in the First Round on Friday. However, Baylor did enter the NCAA Tournament losing four of its last six games, so their Round of 32 game figures to be a big test for them. That being said, the Bears have one of the most dynamic backcourts in the country with Adam Flagler, Keyonte George, and LJ Cryer all averaging at least 14.5 points per game.
As for the Bluejays, they knocked off NC State on Friday to erase the memory of a disastrous Big East Tournament final loss to Xavier. Creighton offers an excellent balance between 7’1’’ center Ryan Kalkbrenner, who leads the team with 15.9 points per game, and an excellent backcourt. Both Trey Alexander and Baylor Scheierman are strong outside shooters while Ryan Nembhard is a steady point guard who averages 11.9 points and 4.9 assists per game.
While both of these teams have excellent starting lineups, neither has a strong bench. Baylor has just four players who average more than 6.3 points per game while Creighton has only five players who average more than 3.6 points per game, getting almost nothing outside of their core five players. However, the Bluejays can come close to matching Baylor’s excellent backcourt while the Bears may not have an answer for Kalkbrenner’s size. That will give Creighton a key edge that helps to send them to the Sweet 16.
