My FanDuel Sportsbook review wouldn’t be complete without acknowledging its rapid rise since launching in 2018. Now one of the top sports betting platforms in the U.S., FanDuel offers competitive odds, innovative features, and a seamless mobile experience, making it a go-to choice for bettors nationwide.

I created a new sportsbook account, opted into every promotion I saw, tested all their stand-out features, initiated deposits, received withdrawals, and much more for this FanDuel Sportsbook review.

FanDuel Sportsbook Promotions and Bonuses

I opted into every FanDuel NY promo I could find over my week of testing. I’m covering the overall value each FanDuel promo brings to the table. I’m also explaining the claim process for all their bonuses starting with their welcome offer.

Sign-Up Bonus – Bet $5, Get $150 in Bonus Bets if Your Bet Wins

New sports bettors signing up at FanDuel can get an excellent welcome promo - Bet $5, Get $150 in Bonus Bets. All you have to do is follow our exclusive offer links, go through the sign-up process, and then place your first bet of $5 or more on any market. If your bet wins, you will be awarded with $150 in Bonus Bets within 72 hours after the bet settles.

FanDuel Sportsbook Welcome Offer February

This welcome offer can be claimed in all FanDuel states.

FanDuel changes their welcome offers frequently, so you can claim a more lucrative offer if you sign up at the right time. Check in with WSN to make sure you're taking advantage of the best sportsbook bonuses.

How to Claim Your FanDuel Welcome Offer

There’s no FanDuel bonus code required upon sign-up. After making a new FanDuel account, I clicked “Add Funds” at the top-right corner of my screen. I had to deposit at least $5 to qualify for this bonus, so that’s how much I decided to spend.

I placed my first $5 wager and waited for my bet to settle and luckily won. I was awarded with $150 in bonus bets within 24 hours.

You can claim this offer from FanDuel's dedicated app. If you click on any of the links on this page while browsing on a desktop, you might be prompted to download the FanDuel app first in order to claim this offer.

Bet $5 and Get $150 in Bonus Bets at FanDuel

Swing for Free to Win Daily

The Daily Swing for Cash promo lets FanDuel users compete in free games for a share of a prize pool.

After clicking “More Info” on the promo page, I learned that participation requires signing into FanDuel Face-Off, a platform for head-to-head skill-based games.

I downloaded the FanDuel Face-Off app on my iPhone13, logged in, and enabled location services.

Choosing Grand Slam Superstar, I played a practice round to get familiar with the controls - hitting homer after homer. Feeling confident, I explored different contest options, including one-on-one games, friend challenges, and large tournaments with hundreds of players.

Although I didn’t win, these promos are a fun way for beginners and casual players to engage without any commitment.

Refer-A-Friend

You can refer friends to join FanDuel with your exclusive invitation link. You’ll receive $50 in free bets for every person who creates a new account, deposits and wagers at least $5+, and settles their wager within 30 days. I saw that I could invite up to 5 friends a month for $250 in bonuses.

I opened FanDuel’s referral bonus tab and clicked “Invite Friends” to get started. You can also access your unique invitation link by clicking “Earn $$$” or “Refer” on the website’s homepage. On the following screen, I copied my referral link and sent it out to three of my closest friends.

I received three referral bonuses worth $50 each for a grand total of $250 in free bets. I noticed each bonus appear in my balance 72 hours after their wagers had settled, and I had a full week to use my referral credits before they expired.

FanDuel Home Ticket Blitz

I hopped in my car and started driving to claim FanDuel’s in-person promotion to win two tickets to an NFL game. I visited FanDuel Sportsbook at the Tioga Downs Casino Resort and spent $50 on a real money parlay.

I filled out the online entry form, including the bet slip ID I received in the sportsbook, and waited for a few days to see if I’d won tickets.

I wasn’t one of the lucky bettors drawn at random, but I had fun exploring FanDuel in real-life.

FanDuel Players’ Club

As someone who enjoys DFS, I found the FanDuel Players’ Club to be a great way to get extra value for every contest I enter.

It’s a free rewards program where you earn 5 FanDuel Points (FDP) per $1 spent on paid DFS contests, and those points can be redeemed for free entries.

There are 11 tiers, starting at Free Agent (50 FDP) and going all the way up to GOAT (2.5M FDP). The more you play, the more you unlock weekly and monthly free plays, exclusive promos, and premium customer support at higher levels.

One thing to remember: FDPs reset monthly, so this program is best for DFS players who enter contests regularly.

While I wish it covered sports betting and casino games, it’s still a solid perk that makes playing on FanDuel more rewarding. If you’re into DFS, it’s worth checking out!

Profit & Odds Boosts

FanDuel is known for hosting profit and odds boosts whenever major events come down the pipeline.

During my FanDuel review, I narrowly missed a 30% profit boost for three-legged, same-game parlays on the USA vs. France Olympic Basketball game.

They also ran a 25% profit boost for all live PGA Tour Wyndham Championship wagers this year.

Even though I didn’t get a chance to claim these profit and odds boosts, you’ll notice them crop up in the promotions banner right before championship events and high-stakes games.

Picks Competitions

FanDuel offers various perfect-pick competitions for many of the major sports leagues, like the NFL, NBA, MLB, NCAAF, and more. These competitions are free to enter, and you can still win real money.

FanDuel Sportsbook User Experience

FanDuel’s user interface feels crisp, clean, and efficient at first glance.

I could quickly flip through sports categories, build parlays, select pre-made popular wagers, initiate deposits, and request payouts with a click.

Desktop

FanDuel’s desktop site is clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate.

The black-and-blue color scheme makes key features like game categories, promotions, and settings stand out. Betting odds for major events are front and center, with quick access to player props and parlays via the top menu.

Deposits are simple with the “Add Funds” button at the top, and the Bet Slip updates automatically, allowing you to adjust wagers and see predicted payouts before committing.

I liked how easy it was to explore different bet types and tweak a same-game parlay (SGP) before deciding.

FanDuel Sportsbook MLB Betting Odds

Scrolling down, FanDuel provides helpful guides on MLB odds and World Series favorites, though coverage is lighter for smaller markets like the WNBA.

The footer offers quick links to Fantasy, Racing, FanDuel TV, and their mobile apps, along with responsible gaming tools and customer support.

Overall, the desktop experience is simple yet effective, making it easy to find bets, manage wagers, and explore additional features without hassle.

FanDuel Mobile App

FanDuel Mobile App

AppUser Ratings
iOS4.9/5
Android4.7/5

The FanDuel Sportsbook mobile app delivers a smooth, intuitive, and feature-packed experience.

With an impressive 4.9/5 rating from 1.5 million reviews on the App Store, it’s clear that users appreciate its reliability and ease of use. The interface efficiently optimizes screen space, mirroring the clean layout of the desktop site while keeping navigation simple.

Logging in felt seamless, with everything from live betting to same-game parlays and player props easily accessible. Popular wagers and trending bets are highlighted, making it easy to jump into the action.

A tap on “Explore” reveals pre-made parlays, suggested player props, and straight bets, all sortable by popularity and start times, great for quickly finding value bets.

FanDuel Sportsbook Mobile Experience

The bet slip is just as functional as on desktop, showing active wagers, settled plays, and saved odds in one place.

The “Live Now” tab provides curated betting options for ongoing games, ensuring quick access to in-play markets across tennis, football, and baseball.

One standout feature is FanDuel Racing, which integrates seamlessly without requiring a separate app, unlike Face-Off and Fantasy, which direct users to external downloads.

FanDuel Sportsbook Mobile App Experience

Lastly, I clicked “Account” prior to making an initial deposit on mobile. Just like their desktop site, I was able to add funds and request withdrawals using the green and blue buttons.

While the app is highly responsive and well-designed, more personalization options, such as tailored notifications and dashboards for frequent bettors, would enhance the experience.

Despite this, FanDuel’s mobile app remains one of the best in the industry, delivering speed, accessibility, and a user-friendly interface for casual and experienced bettors.

If you enjoy your sports betting on the go, then take a look at the best mobile sports betting apps.

FanDuel Sportsbook Features

Overall, FanDuel offers more sportsbook features than competing platforms like Caesars and BetMGM, which go from horse racing and live-streaming to fantasy contests and a beginner-friendly betting guide. It seems as though they’ve thought of everything. I’m a big fan of their pre-made parlay wagers.

Before discussing FanDuel’s suite of advanced features, I’d like to briefly cover all their available bet types.

They offered coverage for 22 sports categories on top of fantasy betting and horse racing odds during my FanDuel review. However, the list of available sports gets updated depending on the sporting calendar. Here are some of the popular bet types I discovered while testing FanDuel:

  • Moneylines

  • Point Spreads

  • Alternative Spreads

  • Totals

  • Parlays

  • Player Props

  • Round Robins

  • Teasers

  • Team Props

  • Futures

  • Live Odds

Learn to Bet 101

I clicked “Learn to Bet 101” from FanDuel’s list of sports categories. An inclusive sports betting guide explains how to read American odds, differentiate between various kinds of wagers, see all the bet types available for each sport, and navigate their user interface.

They incorporate how-to videos, helpful GIFs, and relevant screenshots for visual learners. It’s nice to see FanDuel prioritizing complete beginners with this one-stop-shop information center.

In-Game Betting & Live Streaming

I clicked “Live Now” at the top-left corner of my screen to see custom-designed wagers, watch events unfold in real-time, and explore live odds for several categories. When I accessed their live odds, I found bets for NFL, MLB, tennis, soccer, MMA, golf, and horse racing events.

For more live action, take a look also at the best live betting sportsbooks.

“The Pulse” is FanDuel’s way of compiling the most popular predictions about ongoing games into one convenient place. These wagers are drawn up every day, and they follow all the most important storylines in sports betting. Over the week, I saw countless personalized live wagers.

FanDuel In-Game and Live Betting

I selected Seiya Suzuki to hit a home run and bet the Chicago Cubs moneyline at +548 odds. I wagered $10 for a potential win of $54.86 if both legs of my same-game parlay were correct. If you don’t want your odds to change, you have to move quickly. In my experience, in-game odds will refresh every 30 seconds or so. I then clicked “Watch Live” to see what I could stream now.

I grabbed the nearest bag of microwavable popcorn as I sat down to watch Arthur Rinderknech compete against Hubert Hurkacz in the ATP Montreal 2024 tournament. I didn’t have to place a wager before viewing a live-stream, but I did need to have at least $0.50 in my account balance.

Underneath FanDuel’s stream, I found the total number of points earned by both players during each of their 3 games. They’d already locked the moneyline by the time I started watching, but that didn’t prevent me from exploring some of the live wagers I could have made minutes earlier.

Out of thin air, the moneyline opened right back up. This was my cue to place a wager on Arthur Rinderknech to win the game at +650 odds.

A single $10 wager could win me $65, but as soon as I placed my bet, the odds dropped back to +380. I was lucky enough to predict a sweeping change in the nick of time after Arthur fired back a punishing serve. They also hosted point-by-point bets, game markets, and tennis set markets.

FanDuel’s Parlay Hub

I clicked “Enter Parlay Hub to View More” underneath a listed SGP wager proposed by FanDuel. FanDuel’s Parlay Hub is home to tens of pre-built parlays and same-game parlays with four, five or six legs. I could see how many other bettors submitted each parlay next to the little “fire” icon.

I followed in the footsteps of 5,759 bettors to place a four-legged SGP on the Pittsburgh Pirates and LA Dodgers. I bet on Paul Skenes to secure six or more strikeouts, Oneil Cruz to record 2+ total bases, Shohei Ohtani to score at least two bases, and Freddie Freeman to record one hit.

This parlay didn’t seem too out of touch with reality, so I clicked the green button to place my bet for $10 at +647 odds. I also noticed that I could change the players on my parlay. I clicked “Edit” to mess about with my options, but I wasn’t able to keep the same odds after swapping players.

In this hypothetical parlay, I exchanged Shohei Ohtani and Freddie Freeman for Bryan Reynolds and Isiah Kiner-Falefa. This took my odds from +647 down to +530, delivering a potential win of $53 on a single $10 wager.

If you want to create your own parlays, select various odds and watch them pile up on your bet slip. It’s done for you automatically, and I never lost track of the players I was adding to my slip.

Player Prop Wagers

I scrolled down to “Player Props” after clicking “All Sports” and I was informed that I’d have to go through FanDuel’s mobile app. At the time of this FanDuel review, they don’t feature the player prop tool on desktop. I powered up the FanDuel app on my iPhone 13 and selected the same option.

They have player props listed for NBA and MLB games at the moment. I viewed the MLB’s “Star Players” at a glance, sorted through upcoming MLB games, and used the menu at the top of my screen to view the different kinds of prop wagers available to me.

I could wager on the number of recorded hits, home runs, singles, doubles, triples, RBIs, bases, and strikeouts earned by all players. I saw that the NY Mets and SEA Mariners were competing, so I bet on Sean Manaea of the New York Mets to score more than 5.5 strikeouts at -162 odds.

FanDuel Sportsbook Player Props Betting

Sean kept the Seattle Mariners on their toes for nine innings, leaving me an entire $6.17 richer once my wager settled.

MLB Live Streaming

FanDuel has partnered with MLB.TV to feature on-demand games and live-streamed events for sports bettors. Unfortunately, it’s not a built-in feature like FanDuel TV. Instead, it’ll set you back $69.99/year for unlimited access to out-of-market games and 24/7 streaming on MLB Network.

If you only care about streaming events as they happen, you’ll pay $6.99 per month for access to MLB Network. You’ll also watch highlights, replays, and game-defining moments on MLB Big Inning. Lastly, FanDuel sports bettors can rest easy with live audio for 30+ national MLB teams.

FanDuel Racing

I clicked “Racing” from FanDuel’s list of sports categories and was directed to a different site. I could log into the racebook with the same username and password I used to make a new sportsbook account.

I viewed all their upcoming races, most popular tracks, top prize pools and FDTV picks made by experts in the field. They offer coverage for more than 300 popular tracks. In addition to hosting their own live streams through FanDuel TV, they integrate with the TVG network to have another pair of eyes on the line-up. Best of all, their racing events are accessible for bettors in 28 states.

You can get a piece of the action if you live in AR, AZ, CA, CO, DE, FL, ID, IL, IN, LA, MA, MD, MI, MN, MT, ND, NH, NY, NM, OH, OR, PA, RI, SD, VA, WA, WV, and WY. Their racebook has free predictions, statistics surrounding upcoming events, and its own downloadable application.

In New York, I was able to bet on horse racing directly through the FanDuel Sportsbook mobile app. This option is available to bettors in AZ, CO, IL, IN, KY, LA, MA, MD, MI, NY, OH, PA, VA, WV, and WY. You’ll have to install their racing app if you live in any other FanDuel legal states.

They support win/place/show bets, Pick 3 wagers, Pick 7 wagers, daily doubles, trifecta wagers, box placements, and superfecta wagers.

I appreciate how many bet types they cover, and you’ll notice important information about each race listed underneath its name.

FanDuel TV Live Streaming

I clicked “Watch FDTV” at the top of my screen to see what the hype was all about. I noticed a video player at the top-right corner, and I was able to watch the race unfold in full screen glory. Race 8 of the thoroughbred Del Mar competition had just started, and I was glued to my chair.

I was able to see available wagers by shrinking FanDuel’s video player, and I never experienced lag while scrolling through probables. I found a schedule of upcoming races located next to their video player as well. It’s hard to believe that such comprehensive software is 100% free-to-use.

Daily Fantasy Contests

I clicked “Fantasy” at the top of my screen and immediately discovered a list of recommended DFS contests.

They cover MLB, NFL, PGA, NASCAR, and EPL contests, as well as free-to-play contests and Pick ‘Em props. I was able to build custom contests for me and a few friends, too.

They host full roster contests and single-game events for all categories except NASCAR. They even feature single stat wagers and three-person Snake Draft contests for MLB enthusiasts. If you’re looking for massive prizes, their Sunday Million DFS contest holds $3,330,000 in prizes.

You can also build your own fantasy league, which allows you to play against your friends each week for an entire fantasy season. Their DFS website has an 18+ age minimum, and it’s usable in every state, excluding Washington, Nevada, Montana, Louisiana, Idaho, Hawaii, and Arizona.

I don’t have enough room to dive deeper into FanDuel’s fantasy sports line-up, but it’s the best I’ve seen even compared to DraftKings. It’s hard to find free DFS contests with real prize pools elsewhere.

Claim $100 Signing Up for FanDuel DFS

Casino & Poker

FanDuel gets loads of attention for its strong sportsbook library, but it’s important to note that it doubles as a real money online casino. FanDuel’s casino section is live in Connecticut, New Jersey, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Michigan.

They feature 160 games from 11 providers.

Unfortunately, FanDuel doesn’t have a dedicated poker platform like BetMGM or Caesars. They stand out from competing sportsbooks turned casinos with their newest “Face-Off” feature. I saw that I could battle against other users in head-to-head combat as I played word and skill games.

Because FanDuel’s Face-Off application doesn’t host any traditional casino games like slots or blackjack, it’s legal to use in 31 U.S. states and Washington, D.C. By comparison, their regular casino website is only authorized to operate in CT, NJ, WV, PA, and MI.

FanDuel Sportsbook Deposits & Withdrawals

FanDuel Sportsbook accepts a leading range of e-wallets and secure payment methods. Apple Pay deposits are available exclusively on the FanDuel mobile app if you use an iOS device.

All the other listed payment methods are accessible no matter which device you’re betting from.

  • When depositing at FanDuel, processing times are usually instant. A few methods, like online banking, can take up to an hour on rare occasions, but that could be down to the bank.

  • The deposit minimums listed in the table below are what FanDuel lists in their terms and conditions. Still, they can vary, as some states have rules and regulations stating higher deposit minimums.

  • FanDuel doesn't charge you any fees to deposit or withdraw your money. However, you might be charged an additional fee by your bank when depositing/withdrawing, depending on the type of bank you use. This happens because some banks consider your deposit at FanDuel as a cash advance.

Deposits are instant, and withdrawals are hassle-free, making it one of the best sportsbooks for quick and convenient transactions.

Just be mindful of state-specific credit card restrictions.

FanDuel Sportsbook Customer Support

The customer support team at FanDuel is impressive, and there are multiple avenues to get a hold of them. You can reach customer service through 24/7 live chat, email, or a Twitter DM.

I wanted to see how FanDuel treats bettors in need of assistance. Here are all the ways I tested how good their customer support is.

  1. I opened my profile settings and clicked “Help & Support” from the following screen. I was redirected to a page asking me if I’d like to view their FAQ section or begin a live chat conversation with their 24/7 support team.

  2. I clicked “Chat with an Expert” at the bottom-right corner of my screen to get started. I entered a subject line, selected “Sportsbook” from the drop-down Product menu, and selected “New York” under the Location tab. I clicked “Start Chatting” and I was greeted by FanDuel’s AI Coach bot.

  3. I selected “Account & Verification” from the menu I was presented with. I then got a notification that my estimated wait time would be 2 minutes, and I was asked if I’d still like to continue with the conversation. I clicked Yes and I was prompted to enter the security code sent to my email.

  4. After pasting my eight-digit code in the chat box, I was immediately connected to an agent named Hillary. I asked her about the documents I’d need to complete their KYC, and she sent back an informative reply within seconds. She was also quite courteous and professional.

  5. Next up, I accessed their Ticket Submission Form. I entered my full name, email address, and a subject line before describing my issue in detail. I selected “Sportsbook” from the Product menu and selected “New Player Promotions” under the “Reason for Contact” tab. I then clicked “Next.” I was informed that an agent would get back to me shortly.

  6. I clicked “Finish” to exit the webpage.

I received an email reply from Jared 16 hours later. He confirmed that their “Bet $5, Get $150 in Bonus Bets” promotion was still ongoing. Their Ticket Submission Form isn’t present on their main contact page, but I found a way to access email support in their Help Center.

They encourage bettors to get in touch via social media or live chat because of their mandatory 12-hour waiting period for email responses.

  1. Next, I sent FanDuel a Twitter DM underneath their handle @FanDuel_Support.

I received a response 30 minutes later, which is rather quick compared to other sportsbooks that offer social media support. FanDuel aims to respond to Twitter (X) inquiries in one hour or less. I sent an identical private message to FanDuel’s Facebook team and got a reply 25 minutes later.

I wish their social media team was on-call 24/7, but they’re only available from 8 AM to midnight (EST) seven days a week.

  1. Finally, I visited FanDuel’s comprehensive Help Center. I saw information about making deposits and receiving payouts, resetting my forgotten password, verifying my FanDuel account, claiming promotions, and a play-by-play of FanDuel’s varying regulations per each state.

I found it helpful to sort by product – I could view FAQs about their sportsbook, fantasy contests, casino games, horse racing lines, live-streaming (FanDuel TV), Face-Offs, and TVG integration. FanDuel’s current support options go above and beyond to deliver beginner-friendly assistance.

Currently, the only item they’re missing is a 24/7 phone support hotline for bettors to call.

FanDuel Sportsbook is legal to use in Washington, D.C. and 23 U.S. states. They don’t accept players from any parts of Canada other than Ontario, or any outlying U.S. territories aside from Puerto Rico. Below, I’ve compiled a list of all the FanDuel Sportsbook legal states in 2025.

How to Sign Up for FanDuel Sportsbook

I was able to sign up with FanDuel Sportsbook in seven minutes. I’m walking you through their easy registration process and explaining the steps I took to get started. I’m also showing you how to initiate your first deposit and finish FanDuel’s KYC.

1. Create a new account

Select your state from the list of states provided. I live in New York, so I selected “New York” on this screen.

I entered my email address, selected a username, and created a secure password on the next screen. Next, I clicked “Create Account.” By doing so, I agreed to FanDuel’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

2. Verify your information

After clicking “Create Account,” I clicked on the “Continue With Easy Verification” button from the next screen. You can also opt to verify your information manually.

I entered my mobile phone number and selected my date of birth using the various drop-down menus. Next, I clicked “Send My Code” and entered my security code on the following screen.

If you receive any errors, you’ll need to enter your information on your own. Enter your first and last name, date of birth, cell phone number, address, and the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number (SSN). You may also be asked to submit a copy of the front and back of your ID card.

I like that account verification is lumped in with their registration process, preventing users from needing to go back and submit their personal information twice.

3. Make your first deposit

After logging into your new FanDuel account, click “Add Funds” at the top-right corner of your screen.

Choose your preferred deposit option from the following screen. I clicked “Debit Card” to make a deposit, but they accept Venmo, PayPal, online banking transfers, Play+, gift cards, PayNearMe at participating locations, and Cash at the Counter of your nearest FanDuel retail sportsbook.

Choose the amount of money you’d like to deposit from the top menu row. If you want to deposit a dollar amount that’s not listed, click “Custom” and enter the amount. I selected “$10” at the top left corner of my screen, and this is the minimum dollar amount required for all deposit methods.

Enter your name as it’s spelled on your debit card, type in your card number, fill out the expiry in MM/YY format, and enter your three-digit CVV code. Select your state or province from the drop down menu – in my case, I selected “New York.”

Finally, enter the zip code associated with your billing address. Then, click “Deposit” to continue. I received my $10 deposit just seconds after refreshing the webpage, and I was able to use it for wagering purposes immediately.

FanDuel Sportsbook Responsible Gambling

FanDuel has the most comprehensive selection of responsible gambling tools I’ve seen online.

I clicked the profile icon at the top-right corner of my screen and tapped “Responsible Gaming” to read more about their approach to safe betting. I first watched a minute-long video featuring Craig Carton as he explained five responsible gambling tips.

He tells viewers to set a budget, implement time limits, avoid chasing losses, avoid borrowing money to gamble, and remember that gambling is a form of entertainment.

FanDuel SB Responsible Gambling Resources

After watching the video, I clicked “Global Deposit Limits” to set up all-encompassing restrictions for FanDuel’s sportsbook, fantasy contests, casino games, horse racing events and Face-Offs. I set my daily, weekly, and monthly limits by entering dollar amounts and clicking “Apply Limits.”

If you want to see the limits you’ve set in the past, click “Limits History” for a snapshot. I noticed that decreases would apply immediately, but any increases to my limits would be subjected to a 3-day wait period. This feature allows bettors to think before they make a potentially bad choice.

Next, I clicked “User Tools” and saw several options listed in a drop-down menu. I clicked on the collapsible arrow key next to “User Limits” and clicked “Wager Limits.”

Wager limits apply to your sportsbook, casino, and horse racing bets. FanDuel gives players the opportunity to implement daily, weekly, and monthly limits. You can also impose maximum single wager limits, session time limits ranging from one to 23 hours, and fantasy wagering restrictions.

I clicked “Contest Entry Alerts” to see more. I found that I could set up daily, weekly and monthly limits on the number of contests I could enter at one time. If you try to exceed your contest entry limits, you’ll receive an email alert from FanDuel.

I was able to implement contest entry limits and maximum entry fee limits just like I implemented sportsbook wager limits and maximum wager size limits. I clicked “Time-Out” and I was happy to find customizable options that allowed me to temporarily lock my account.

Unlike Caesars Sportsbook and BetMGM, FanDuel’s “Take A Break” period runs for as little as 3 days or as long as 365 days. Caesars and BetMGM allow you to take a break for up to 4 weeks before you have to commit to a year-long self-exclusion. It’s nice having an intermediary option.

I clicked “Self-Exclusion” and discovered that I could restrict access to my FanDuel account for a minimum of one year. Other time limits include 3 years, 5 years, or indefinite. Reality checks are activity alerts that tell you how much time and money you’ve spent every 15 or 30 minutes.

After clicking “Parental Controls,” I noticed that FanDuel encourages bettors to get in touch with customer service if they believe that a minor has access to their account. They also verify every account for eligibility.

You must be 18+ years old to participate in fantasy contests, and the age limit for sports betting is 21 years old. Next, I clicked “Additional Resources” and noticed a list of responsible gambling organizations for my state.

Useful Responsible Gambling sources FanDuel offers:

I also saw four articles regarding practical gaming tips, a blog post that debunks the myths associated with gambling, information about the risks of gambling, and watching for potential signs of a gambling problem.

I clicked on “Prohibitions and Restrictions” from the left sidebar. I discovered that Massachusetts residents are restricted to depositing $1,000 every 31 days. Maryland residents can only deposit $5,000 per month, and Tennessee residents can deposit $2,500 every 31 days.

In the event that you spend more than $2,500 over the course of your betting career at FanDuel, you’ll be reminded that you have the choice to establish responsible gaming limits or close your account entirely. This feature is much like a mandatory activity reminder, which I’m all in favor of.

To learn more about responsible gambling in general, and why we make it a cornerstone of every site we review, check out our responsible gambling center.

Sports betting can be a lot of fun, but it is important to remember that nothing is more important than responsible gambling. It is supposed to be fun, and when you stop enjoying it, and it becomes too stressful, it is time to step away. Call 1-800-GAMBLER if you or someone you know has gambling problems. The National Problem Gambling Hotline is 1-800-522-4700.

FanDuel Security

As a top sportsbook, FanDuel does a great job of protecting its users in all areas. You do not need to worry about your personal or banking information ever being at risk.

FanDuels’ Betfair interface is user-friendly and easy to use, but it is also one of the best software systems for user protection.

Lastly, I want to highlight that FanDuel is licensed by every individual state body where they operate their sportsbook. Being a legally licensed provider gives additional assurances because the state wouldn't license a sportsbook that doesn't do a good job at security. That being said, if there's ever an issue, the state regulating body is available to help.

FanDuel Sportsbook Final Verdict

FanDuel covers all the bases (pun intended) with a diverse library of competitive odds for dozens of sports categories. Beyond their coverage of popular events, their racebook supports lines for 300+ international tracks. You can place bets and watch races unfold live through FanDuel TV.

FanDuel offers a variety of features designed to enhance the sports betting experience for both new and experienced users. The platform includes free pick’em games, providing opportunities to win real money, and a Learn to Bet section that helps newcomers understand the basics. Additionally, the interface makes browsing and building parlays straightforward and user-friendly.

The FanDuel welcome offer only requires an initial deposit of $10 and a spend of $5. You’ll get $200 in bonus bets if your wager is successful, and there are no playthrough restrictions on your winnings from bonus bets. Lastly, FanDuel’s iOS app is easily the most comprehensive sportsbook app I’ve used so far.

I’m excited to recommend FanDuel Sportsbook to anyone in search of a reputable, top-shelf bookmaker. You can easily create a new account using the signup link at the top of this page.

FanDuel Sportsbook Video Review

How We Rate Sportsbooks

We take our sportsbook reviews very seriously, which is why we created our unique BetEdge Rating system. Our sportsbook reviewers have decades of experience testing gambling sites and each sportsbook has to reach their high standards before they are featured on WSN.

We spend two or more hours gathering information for each of the following five benchmarks:

User Experience

We document our individual experiences on desktop and mobile to deliver a final verdict that applies to players on both fronts. If we find a dedicated app for iOS/Android devices, we download it to our smartphones. Outside mobile compatibility, our team accounts for how each website is organized and feels to use. We like platforms that prioritize beginners with a simple interface.

Features

Our team registers with each platform before placing real money wagers and exploring all their available bet types. We prioritize sportsbooks that make it simple to create same-game parlays, offer live-streaming for in-game wagers, view horse racing odds, and cover daily fantasy sports. We give a higher rating to sportsbooks with a leading range of popular sports categories. We like to see unique features and betting tools that improve the experience.

Promotions

Our experts opt into any and all promotions we can find at a given sportsbook. Beginning with a platform’s welcome offer, we discuss the claim process and disclose any relevant promo codes. We also consider the general value each available bonus adds to your betting experience, and we appreciate sportsbooks that reward active players with special loyalty perks and IRL prizes.

Deposits and Withdrawals

We spend at least $10 making real money deposits at every sportsbook we review, and we stick around long enough to meet each platform’s minimum withdrawal requirements. Our team looks for sportsbooks that accept Apple Pay, PayPal, Venmo, Trustly, and other reputable options. We appreciate platforms offering quick withdrawals and easily understandable payment instructions.

Customer Support

Our experts contact real support agents via live chat, email, and phone if available. We submit contact forms, initiate conversations, and document response times on all fronts. In addition to considering how quickly agents respond, we prioritize sportsbooks offering 24/7 assistance. It’s not a stretch to say that a platform with sub-par customer service shouldn’t be your first choice.

Why You Should Trust Us

Since 2005, WSN has fine-tuned the process of independent and authentic reporting. For more than 19 years, we’ve delivered high-value content and earned our place among reputable news outlets. WSN has been featured by CBS News, the LA Times, Forbes, ESPN, and Entrepreneur.

Our approach to reviewing platforms, and every review we publish is written with your best interests in mind. If a platform “drops the ball” in a major area, we’re not afraid to highlight what’s wrong and how it can be fixed. At the same time, we’re eager to give praise if it’s warranted.

tip_r

Our experts independently source information by creating new accounts, opting into any and all promotions, getting in touch with customer support, making deposits, receiving withdrawals and playing the part of a regular sports bettor. We give you an inside look at what each site offers.

We bring more than two decades of combined experience to the table with every review, and we use our hard-won expertise to deliver impartial judgments that prioritize your betting experience. This requires our experts to spend a full week researching each platform before reviewing them.
