Odds, Previews, Picks, Best Bets for Big Ten Tournament Championship

The Big Ten Championship will feature the No. 1 Purdue Boilermakers and, after another upset, the No. 10 Penn State Nittany Lions.

The Nittany Lions beat the Indiana Hoosiers by four points, but there were double-digit leads by Penn State throughout.

Their 77-point performance was their third 75+ performance since February 23, where they had 75 against Ohio State.

Jalen Pickett was phenomenal against Indiana, scoring 28 points and eight rebounds.

For Purdue, they handled Ohio State quite easily, thanks to big man Zach Edey.

The seven-foot-four titan scored 32 points and had 14 rebounds.

For Penn State, when you look at their roster, they have one six-foot-ten player in Kebba Njie, and everyone else is at least two inches shorter than that.

See the problem here?

Penn State is a small team height-wise. They’re likely going to land a spot in the NCAA Tournament. Still, they will have no answers for Purdue, which also plays excellent defense, ranking 20th in the country and allowing just 62.5 points per game.

Purdue will easily handle Penn State and cover the point spread of 5.5 points.
