A new episode of Ride the Line with Grant Mitchell and Tanner Kern is now live on all WSN platforms!
It’s official: The Ride the Line boys are on a heater.
After a few weeks of great picks, Grant and Tanner combined to go 6-0 with their picks over the weekend. That brings their yearly records to 19-10 for Tanner and 17-10-1 for Grant, and the boys are feeling confident heading into Monday Night Football.
The Green Bay Packers are heading south to take on the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday. The Raiders are favored by a point and a half, but both of the co-hosts are looking to the underdogs in this particular matchup.
The Packers were embarrassed last week on Thursday Night Football but have an extended period of rest to ensure they’re at their best. Professional athletes also don’t like to be embarrassed, and both Grant and Tanner expect the visitors to come out with renewed fire and vigor.
Green Bay is 3-1 against the spread thus far, while Vegas is only 1-3. A major part of that is the difference in quarterback play, as Raiders QB Jimmy Garoppolo leads the league in interceptions (six) despite missing a game. Jordan Love has not been perfect but has thrown for at least 240 yards in three of four games and has 10 total touchdowns to just three interceptions.
The Packers also rank 10th in scoring, while the Raiders have the league’s third-worst offense. The defensive rankings aren’t as disparate, but the Packers still edge the Raiders in points allowed.
Not only do Grant and Tanner love both Packers’ moneyline, but they’d be interested in taking alternate spreads as well. Like-minded bettors can get the Packer -6.5 for +280 and Packers -9.5 for +350 on FanDuel Sportsbook.
Grant’s favorite player prop in the Monday night matchup is Aaron Jones anytime touchdown scorer (+125). Jones was rather ineffective last week in his return from injury but scored a touchdown on the ground and as a receiver in Week 1 and can be deployed in a variety of ways near the goal line.
If the Packers are going to win and win big, someone’s going to need to score the points. Love has frequently looked downfield but will also give his top back plenty of looks in the red zone.
Tanner likes Love to go over his passing total of 232.5 yards. He’s gone above this line in every game excluding a one-point loss to the Atlanta Falcons and will get to work against a deplorable Raiders secondary.
The main roadblock here is Love’s inaccuracy. He’s completing just over 56% of his passes and has a low yards per attempt total, but his yards per completion is extremely high. If he can tighten up his delivery, this prop has a great chance to cash.
