When using American Express at bet365 you have to deposit at least $10 and the funds will be available almost instantly on your account. With maximum deposit being $30,000. However, you can't use AMEX credit cards to withdraw money.

2. Log In or Sign Up for an Account

First, I either log into an existing account or create a new one.

The registration process can differ very slightly depending on your chosen sportsbook, but ultimately they all need to collect the same information.

Generally, you’ll be directed to a form where you’ll need to provide personal information such as your full name, date of birth, email address, and possibly phone number. Some sportsbooks will also ask for further verification, like your SSN, driver’s license, or utility bill, to confirm your identity and age.

3. Deposit Funds

My next step is to deposit funds. Head to the cashier or deposit section, where you can choose American Express card if you’ve opted for one of our recommended platforms. 

Since I already had a BetMGM account, I simply logged in and proceeded to the deposit section, which is located in the top right-hand corner of the screen. 

I could see all the available deposit methods and clicked the credit card button with the American Express icon.

I was asked to fill in my card details, which was convenient as my laptop saved this information, allowing me to use autofill. I did have to enter my CVV and the deposit amount manually.

4. Authorize Payment

Often, I have to approve any transactions when using my American Express. This is simple: I just confirm that the transaction is really being made by me through my banking app. Once approved, the funds are instantly available in my account so I can start placing wagers.

5. Withdraw Your Winnings

Unfortunately, it is not possible to use American Express as a withdrawal method because of regulatory issues. Top sportsbooks will have other popular methods that you can use for pay-outs. I often use my VISA debit card or Play+ prepaid card instead.

Can I Claim Bonuses Using American Express?

Of course! If the online sportsbook accepts American Express, you can use it to deposit and claim any welcome bonus unless a specific restriction is mentioned. I never seen such restrictions, but it always pays to doublecheck the terms and conditions before claiming any promotion.
