How We Rate NetEnt Casinos in the US

Our rating process for casinos is based on one very simple principle: we take the time to sign up and play. The team here at WSN.com is made out of sports and casino fans, so we know what goes into a great online casino. For evaluating the best NetEnt online casinos, a big factor is obviously the number of NetEnt games available. After checking that out, we go through our step by step process for rating platforms, ticking off each stage before we make any conclusions.

Here’s how it works. Our writers are asked to spend a minimum of two hours researching and experiencing each of the following five factors before their review:

  1. User Experience: We explore every aspect of the software and the platform, taking our time and getting a sense of what makes the site unique. We like casinos that are beginner-friendly and easy to use, but also aren’t too basic or cookie-cutter. We always test the site on different types of devices, including downloading the mobile app, to make sure the performance is consistent.

  2. Games and Features: We dive into the selection of NetEnt games, testing out our favorites to make sure they work as they should and trying out any new releases. We compare the variety of NetEnt titles across different casinos, to figure out which site has the best selection. We also check out any other interesting features, especially original games or features that make the casino stand out.

  3. Promotions and Bonuses: We methodically opt-in to every single promo on the casino, starting with the welcome bonus. We use the promo code, claim the bonus and go through the process of clearing any wagering requirements, so we can explain exactly how the offer works. We want our readers to have a full and accurate understanding of how casino bonuses really work, not just go off the eye-catching headlines.

  4. Banking Options: We test out every banking method available for both deposits and withdrawals, from bank cards and transfers to e-wallets and prepaid cards. We go through the whole process, making small transactions of around $10 for each method, to evaluate exactly how it works and how long it takes for the money to become available.

  5. Customer Support: We contact the support team using every channel available, including live chat, email and phone lines. We choose from a specially selected set of questions to test out the effectiveness of the support, so we can compare how each casino stacks up against each other. We also check out the help section and the FAQs to see what kind of information is readily available.

What Type of Games Does NetEnt Offer?

NetEnt has been creating online casino games for more than 20 years, and the company has dipped its toes into pretty much every type of game you can imagine.

NetEnt Slots

Slots are definitely NetEnt’s bread and butter, the gaming format that puts them on the map. The company is responsible for some of the most-played games ever published on the internet, including titles like Starburst and the Dead or Alive series. NetEnt has developed a reputation for creating slots that are fun and immersive, without getting too complicated. The quality of design and originality in terms of themes and storylines have been constant throughout the company's long history. NetEnt also pride themselves on delivering slots with competitive RTPs, with an average of around 96%.

NetEnt’s range of slots is diverse too, with lots of different features and game formats. Check out some of them below:

  1. Progressive Jackpots: This is a jackpot that continues to grow as different people play the game over a period of time until finally it pays out to one (or sometimes more) lucky person. A small portion of every bet goes towards growing the jackpot, which only pays out when you land a specific and unlikely combination of symbols. Some NetEnt games have multiple progressive jackpots in play at the same time.

  2. MegaWays: MegaWays is a gaming format developed by Big Time Gaming back in 2016 where a random number of symbols appears on the reels for every spin, meaning a different number of winning paylines for every spin. To win, you just need to line up matching symbols on adjacent reels, rather than have them land in a specific pattern. NetEnt has partnered up with MegaWays to create new versions of popular games like Divine Fortune MegaWays and Twin Spin MegaWays.

  3. Clusterpays: This is a special payout format developed by NetEnt, where the total number of connected symbols in a cluster triggers a win. The more symbols in the cluster, the higher the win.

  4. Wilds: Can be substituted for any other symbol in a payline.

  5. Scatters: Special symbols which trigger bonus games or free spins, when they land in certain combinations.

  6. Expanding Symbols: Certain symbols can be triggered to expand to cover a whole reel, creating a great chance of winning.

  7. Tumbling Reels: Symbols from winning paylines explode and disappear to be replaced by new ones, creating new ways to win.

NetEnt Table Games

Table games are not exactly NetEnt’s specialty, but there is a small selection available. The full variety is here:

  • Blackjack (single deck / 6-deck)

  • Roulette (European, American, French, and Advanced Roulette)

  • Poker (Texas Hold ‘Em / Texas Hold ‘Em Pro)

  • Baccarat

  • Video Poker (Jacks or Better)

NetEnt’s table games tend to veer towards classic designs, with realistic sound effects that aim to recreate the authentic casino atmosphere. Although there are a couple of different versions of each type of game, NetEnt hasn’t really shown an interest in coming up with lots of original variations in the same way that some providers have.

I appreciate the fact that table games are on the NetEnt menu, but if you want a really deep selection or a wide variety of side bets and table game innovations, NetEnt is not the number one choice.

Live Dealer Games

NetEnt previously created live dealer games, with the first NetEnt live game launching all the way back in 2013 and the catalog growing slowly for the next seven years. However, all that changed in 2020 with the takeover of NetEnt by Evolution, the preeminent live casino software provider. More on that in our history section below.

As of December 2020, NetEnt’s live studio in Malta has been closed down and the company no longer offers live games under the NetEnt banner. However, Evolution live games (NetEnt’s parent company) have gone from strength to strength.

Our Favorite NetEnt Casino Games

Choosing my favorite NetEnt games was no mean feat, but I’ve reluctantly narrowed it down to ten titles. As you’ll see, they include some stone-cold classic slots that have to make any list of top NetEnt games, but also a few of my own personal favorites. Let’s jump in.

1. Starburst

Best NetEnt Casinos in US Starburst

RTP: 96.09%

Volatility: Low

Starburst is one of the most popular slots ever created and it’s number one on our list. The game is living proof that the best slots don’t need to go overboard with crazy features and symbols. Instead, Starburst is exceptionally simple, immediately fun for both beginners and more experienced players, and also looks great with a strong theme and vibrant graphics.

The game consists of five reels filled with shiny jewels that seem to hover in outer space, with the gleam of distant stars floating lazily in the background. The BAR and 7 symbols are a nod towards classic Vegas slots. There are ten paylines which pay out in either direction, and a max win of 5,000x for a single spin. Starburst is a low volatility game, which partly explains why its popularity has endured for so long, with no deep bankroll required to play. It’s a simple game, beautifully designed and fun to play, and it’s no surprise to me that it’s been so popular for so long.

Try Starburst at BetMGM Casino.

2. Gonzo’s Quest

Gonzo's Quest NetEnt Game

RTP: 95.97%

Volatility: Mid / High

Second on our list is another classic game, which introduced many to the world of online slots. It's like classic video games or movies in that way. Gonzo’s Quest follows Gonzalo Pizzaro as he searches for El Dorado, the lost city of gold. The game incorporates cutscene video animation outside of the gameplay, which helps to tell the story and lends depth to the game. This kind of narrative technique is standard procedure today, but felt truly innovative back in 2011 when Gonzo’s Quest was launched.

The game has five reels and 20 paylines, with a max win of 2,500x in the regular game. The symbols are all ancient stone tablets, etched with mysterious images of serpent Gods and grotesque figures. The sound palette is excellent, with a satisfying crunch when the stone symbols land on the reels and the eerie atmospheric sounds of the deep jungle always audible in the background.

Avalanche reels are in play, so that winning symbols crumble away to be replaced by the ones, and a multiplier is triggered if the new symbols hit a winning line. The process continues up to a possible 5x multiplier in the base game. Landing three scatters triggers the Free Fall free spins bonus game, which can be re-triggered if you hit more scatters during the bonus.

Enjoy Gonzo's Quest at FanDuel Casino.

3. Dead or Alive 2

Dead or Alive 2 NetEnt Game

RTP: 96.82%

Volatility: High

Next up, we’ve got one of those rare times when the sequel is arguably better than the original. The first Dead or Alive was one of NetEnt’s most popular high volatility slots, providing the opportunity for some huge payouts, thanks to the bonus games. Dead or Alive 2 takes the concept and supercharges it, with a frankly insane max win potential of 100,000x your bet.

The action takes place in a 5x3 grid, set in a dusty street in the Old West, with a cast of five mysterious and dangerous characters on the reels, each of which is a Wild symbol. There are nine paylines in the regular game, but if you’ve ever played Dead or Alive 2 before, you’ll know that’s all about the bonus games, which get triggered when you hit three Scatters anywhere on the reels.

You’ll be able to choose between three bonus games: Old Saloon, High Noon Saloon and Train Heist. Each game starts with 12 free spins, which can easily be re-triggered mid-game. These games are where huge payouts become a real possibility, with Wilds and Sticky Wilds filling the reels throughout the spins, Multipliers landing on top of other Multipliers, and further Scatters which re-set your free spins. It’s thrilling and chaotic, and potentially extremely profitable.

As I mentioned, Dead or Alive 2 is a high volatility game, and you might be spinning for a while before you hit three Scatters to trigger the bonus. For this reason, it’s better suited to players with decent bankrolls who can absorb losses. There is also a version out there that lets you buy into the feature directly, for a premium.

Join PlayStar and try out Dead or Alive 2.

4. Street Fighter 2: The World Warrior

Street Fighters 2 NetEnt Game

RTP: 96.06%

Volatility: Mid / High

NetEnt has collaborated with all kinds of brands and companies to create unique slots over the years, and one of my favorites is this Street Fighter 2 edition from 2020. The slot stays true to the retro 8-bit graphics of the original game, guaranteeing a rush of nostalgia from anyone who spent far too long with a SNES controller in their hands in the mid 90s (ahem).

The slot mimics the format of the classic game too, inasmuch as a video slot can, with the ability to choose your character to battle a random opponent. Each character has different special abilities, which affect the Wilds in the game. The actual reels are 5x5 and feature tons of Wilds as well as symbols representing both your character and your opponent.

When you hit a winning line, both characters perform their special moves, exploding the winning symbols so they are replaced by new ones to potentially roll over the wins. There are two bonus games too, Beat the Boss and Car Smash, both of which are inspired by the gameplay of the original Nintendo game.

Street Fighter 2 is really one you need to experience yourself, and it's essential if you’ve ever played the original game. It’s a really original take: essentially a regular slot game but utilizing the visual language and narrative structure of a classic.

Take a spin with Street Fighter 2 on Caesars Palace Online Casino.

5. Fruit Shop

Fruit Shop NetEnt Game

RTP: 96.71%

Volatility: Low / Mid

Fruit Shop is one of my go-to recommendations for newcomers to the world of online slots, seeking a fun and easy game to dip their toes in the water. It’s got five reels, 15 paylines, and is in the classic category of fruit machine slots. The aesthetic is bright and cartoonish, with glossy segments of fruit and big plump playing card Symbols that look like they are right off the pages of a comic book. If you hover your cursor over the paylines, listed at the side of the game, you’ll see a visual representation of each line.

Fruit Shop isn’t brimming with special features or bonus games. There are Wilds in play, which include a 2x multiplier when you use them in a winning line. You can also trigger a free spin bonus round by hitting a winning line that contains a fruit symbol. The reels turn orange and the Wild symbol triggers additional free spins along with a 4x multiplier.

But all in all, Fruit Shop is a pretty simple game. With beginner friendly lower-to-mid volatility rating and no real learning curve, it’s a nice addition to the world of fruit machine slots.

6. Divine Fortune

Divine Fortune NetEnt Game

RTP: 96.59%

Volatility: Medium

Divins Fortune is another one that is likely already familiar to slots enthusiasts as one of NetEnt’s most popular titles since it was launched in 2017. It has five reels and 20 paylines, medium volatility and some fun bonuses and features.

Diving Fortune has a really classy feel, with a theme that harks back to the world of Ancient Greece. Marble statues frame the reels, which contain a combination of majestic animals, angular playing cards and a fearsome Medusa symbol. There are Wild symbols - a horse - which have the potential to expand to cover an entire reel when one lands on top of another, as well as a Lightning Bolt Scatter which triggers a free spin bonus game.

There’s also a separate Jackpot Bonus Game, where you have the chance to win any of three separate jackpots: the Minor, the Mega and the Major. During the bonus game, you need to match up bonus symbols on each row, with different jackpots coming into play the more rows you complete.

Give Divine Fortune a try at Borgata Casino.

7. Asgardian Stones

Asgardian Stones NetEnt Games

RTP: 96.31%

Volatility: Low / Mid

Asgardian Stones is a beautiful game and, for me, is a perfect example of a lot of the things that NetEnt does really well. It’s not especially volatile and it’s easy to play, but it's still pretty packed with interesting features across its five reels.

First of all, I want to talk about how it looks. Asgardian Stones might be my favorite slot on the list from a design point of view, with the game taking place in a shadowy fantasy world reminiscent of the Norse home of the Gods. The symbols are all huge slabs of rock, each one carved into the noble face of a Norse God or Hero. I love the way the symbols don’t hover in the air, but instead scrape in beside each other, just like a slab should.

The soundscape of this game is truly excellent. Generally speaking, I prefer games that have low-key atmospheric background noises over loud music, and Asgardian Stones nails it. The sound of the symbols crunching together, complete with stereo panning, is next level.

There are Colossal Symbols in play, so that any of the regular symbols may land in a 2x2 or 3x3 size, dwarfing the regular symbols and creating more chances to hit a winning line. When you do hit a win, the Avalanche feature is also in play, so the symbols explode to be replaced by new ones. You can also trigger free spins and hit the special Bonus Wheel, another Colossal Symbol which awards instant cash prizes when it lands on the reels.

Join Stardust Casino and try Asgardian Stones.

8. Aloha: Cluster Pays

Aloha: Cluster Pays NetEnt Game

RTP: 96.42%

Volatility: Low

This game is the perfect example of NetEnt’s patented Cluster Pays feature. The design is bright and cartoonish, set on an Hawaiian island at dusk with the twang of Tiki music in the background. There are six reels and up to five symbols on each one, but you can also hit double sized symbols, which take up more space.

The Cluster Pays format does away with paylines. Instead, to win, you need to land nine or more symbols, all touching each other in any direction. The more you land, the higher the payouts. Any time you hit a win, you might randomly activate the Stick Win Re-Spin, where the winning symbols remain locked in place and all the others are replaced, greatly increasing your chances of adding another symbol to your cluster for another win. Landing three more of the Stamp symbols activates a free spin bonus, during which all the lower value symbols are removed from the reels.

The symbol designs themselves are quite simple, featuring coconuts, flowers, and shells. I’m a big fan of the fiery effects that are triggered when you hit a Cluster Win. The format is a great change of pace from the more classic, payline-based slots.

Give the Aloha: Cluster Pays slot a spin at PlayStar Casino.

9. Blood Suckers

Blood Suckers NetEnt Game

RTP: 98%

Volatility: Low

For me, Blood Suckers is all about the design. I’m a sucker (pardon the pun) for a slot with a really strong and cohesive theme, where it almost feels like there is a deep backstory behind every symbol on the reels. Blood Suckers is the perfect example of that. The 98% RTP isn’t too shabby either.

There are five reels in this game, filled with some beautifully rendered symbols ranging from pungent cloves of garlic and vials of potion, to monstrous demons and magicians. They look like something hand-drawn for a graphic novel and really give the game a distinctive feel. I don’t really have anything against playing cards or the more generic symbols you find at lots of slots, but I’ve got a soft spot for when every single symbol is unique.

The Wild symbol is a Vampire, and when you hit a winning line with one, it comes alive and chomps down on the neck of his victim. There’s also a Zombie Bride Scatter symbol, which triggers free spins, and a very fun pick’em, style bonus game where you randomly open coffins to try to kill vampires within.

Sink your teeth into Blood Suckers at BetRivers Casino.

10. Gem Crush

Gem Crush NetEnt Game

RTP: 96.05%

Volatility: Mid / High

Gem Crush is the newest game on our list, and it shows. It’s a really impressive looking slot, with the portrait style grid format ideal for playing on your phone. I love the tranquil waterfall that gurgles in the background while you play and the 3D leaves that float serenely around the screen.

Gem Crush is another Cluster Pays slot, and it’s interesting to compare it to Fruit Shop. It certainly feels more modern, especially the effects that appear whenever you hit a winning Cluster and the Gems disappear. There are six reels with eight symbols, each of which is a brightly colored, angular Gem Stone.

You can hit free spins when you land three or more Scatter symbols, with the Avalanche feature in play throughout. I also love the Rainbow Gem which can appear and randomly select one type of gem on the grid to upgrade it to another symbol, giving you more chances to win. Again, the special effects when this happens are very impressive. There’s a lot more going on too, with the potential for Colossal Wild Symbols, random multipliers and the Xstrike multiplier bonus.

Overall, Gem Crush feels the perfect example of a slick and modern slot game, with NetEnt still at the cutting edge of design all these years later.

What Makes NetEnt Casino Games Special?

There’s a reason NetEnt has been at the top of the game for so long. Over the decades, the company has developed a well-earned reputation for creating consistently excellent games, always pushing the envelope in a variety of ways. Check out what makes them so special below.

Design and Graphics

NetEnt games look great. Perhaps more importantly, the variation in terms of different themes and styles of design is extremely impressive. You want a classic Vegas style, three-reel slot? NetEnt can do that. You want a modern 3D video slot with animations and narrative storytelling interwoven into the game? NetEnt has that in its locker too. It’s hard to pin down what a “typical” NetEnt slot looks like, simply because the range of creativity among the design team is so wide.

The company is also inherently forward looking in terms of design, always striving to innovate. It was one of the first software providers to enter the world of Virtual Reality, with a VR version of Gonzo’s Quest released in 2017.

Soundscapes

NetEnt games are extremely cohesive, and a big part of that is the sound. They know when a slot requires some upbeat music to keep the energy high and match the gameplay, and equally, they know that some games benefit from a less-is-more approach, with naturalistic ambient sounds to compliment the action on screen. Asgardian Stones is a personal favorite because it shows everything that NetEnt does so well with sounds. The low rumbling of the stone symbols as they settle on the grid really gives them a sense of weight, creating a truly immersive experience.

Beloved Games and Series

NetEnt was one of the first software companies to pioneer the concept of a series of slot games, which fans can follow just like they would a series of PlayStation or Xbox games. Gonzo’s Quest, released back in 2011, was a landmark moment in the history of online slots, inspiring several sequels where you can follow the progress of Gonzo as he searches for the lost city of El Dorado. There’s also Starburst, one of the most popular and beloved games in the history of the industry, which has inspired its own spinoffs. All of this goes to say that NetEnt knows how to create games that really resonate with slots fans.

Big Payouts

A huge moment for NetEnt came in 2009, with the release of Dead or Alive. This game embraced volatility like never before and became an online slot sensation, with fans swapping stories and images online of their huge individual wins, thanks to the free spin bonus game chock full of multipliers. Leaning into the potential for huge wins of up to 2,500x was a game changer for NetEnt and changed how the online community, at least those with deep enough bankrolls who could afford to chase the biggest jackpots, thought about slots. Dead or Alive 2 followed in 2019, which was even more volatile, and then a version where you could buy directly into the bonus feature. In 2017, Mega Fortune broke the world record for an individual payout, thanks to one lucky winner triggering the progressive jackpot worth €17 million.

A Brief History of NetEnt

NetEnt has been one of the major players in online gaming since it was founded back in 1996, originally known as Net Entertainment. Today, the gaming catalog stands at more than 200 slots and a handful of other games, with a well publicized merger with the live dealer giant Evolution thrown in in 2020. NetEnt works with gaming authorities, including the Malta Gaming Authority and the UK Gambling Commission, as well as the independent testing lab eCogra.

NetEnt Company History

Check out a timeline of some of the major events in NetEnt’s history.

1996

NetEnt was launched in Stockholm by Pontus Lindwall. The company has its roots in brick-and-mortar gambling, with Pontus’ father Bill Lindwall operating a business called Cherry, which has supplied slot machines to casinos since the 1970s. Cherry’s operations changed over the decades in response to evolving European gambling laws, and by the time NetEnt was created in 1996, Pontus and Bill had identified online gambling as the next frontier.

2002

The world of online gaming evolves massively in the first few years of NetEnt’s existence, as people become more used to the internet and the concept of gambling online gains traction. This culminates in NetEnt launching its own branded online gambling site in Sweden, NetEnt Casino™ in 2002.

2004

NetEnt goes international, delivering its first Casino Modules to international customers. A Casino Module is simply the name for the suite of software that NetEnt provides to clients, comprising a library of games and a customizable back office.

2005

NetEnt receives a license from the Malta Gaming Authority. This is a significant milestone in NetEnt’s journey, with the early days of online gambling plagued by a lack of regulatory oversight and reluctance from the general public to trust online casinos and online payment providers. The Malta Gaming Authority was one of the first of its kind in the world to distribute licenses, creating a pathway towards confidence and respectability.

2007

NetEnt becomes a spin-off company from Cherry and is listed on the Nordic Growth Market (NGM) Stock Exchange.

2009

NetEnt is listed on the main list of the Stockholm Stock Exchange.

2010

NetEnt receives a license from the Alderney Gambling Control Commission.

2011

NetEnt turns its attention to the next frontier in online gambling: mobile games. The company produces its first games designed especially for the smaller screen. It marks a shift in policy that will eventually see all of the content that NetEnt produces optimized for mobile access. The same year NetEnt games premiere in the Italian market for the first time.

2012

NetEnt enters the Danish market. Starburst is released, which will go on to become one of the NetEnt’s signature games.

2015

NetEnt receives licenses for the UK and Spain.

2017

Mega Fortune, one of NetEnt’s most popular slots, makes headlines around the world and breaks the world record as it pays out €17 million to a lucky player in Helsinki.

2019

NetEnt acquires Red Tiger, a highly rated competitor in the world of slots providers.

2020

NetEnt is acquired by Evolution, another Swedish software giant. Evolution is the leading provider of live online casino games in the world and the merger of the two companies marks the end of NetEnt’s own in-house live dealer productions.

2023

Starburst continues to lead the EGR Slot Tracker list, which tracks the most popular games in the world. Between them, NetEnt and Pragmatic Play make up 50% of the games in the top 20.

Is NetEnt Legit?

Yes, NetEnt is a safe, respected and legitimate provider for online casino software. NetEnt received its first license to provide casino games from the Malta Gaming Authority back in 2005. Since then, the company has added licenses from at least seven other countries and still more jurisdictions, including the UK Gaming Authority and multiple state gaming commissions in the US. Possessing licenses from so many different regulatory bodies is a clear sign of NetEnt’s eagerness to work with authorities and willingness to adapt to new regulations when required.

NetEnts games are independently tested for fairness by various Accredited Testing Facilities (ATFs). It is the job of these bodies to make sure that the Random Number Generator software that powers the games is working as it should and that NetEnt is not misleading its customers.

NetEnt currently works with the following AFTs:

  • eCOGRA Casino Testing

  • iTech Labs

  • Gaming Laboratories International

  • Technical Services Bureau

NetEnt’s Casino Module also includes a variety of tools designed to help players manage their time and money safely. They include:

  • Visible Clock - Time is always displayed to help players keep track of how long they have been playing

  • Game Speed Configuration - The possibility of quick spins can be removed and the overall playing time slowed down, normally so that three seconds must elapse between each spin

  • Reality Checks - Informs the player how long they have been playing and suggests they take a break at regular intervals

  • Play Limits / Loss Limits - NetEnt’s technology allows casinos to temporarily lock the accounts of players once they hit a certain threshold of either time spent playing, or money lost.

  • Self Exclusion - Permanently bans a player from accessing NetEnt games.

How To Sign Up With a NetEnt Slots Casino

NetEnt games are available at casinos all over the world, but in this section, we’re focusing on how you can sign up to a NetEnt casino in the US. Thanks to state-by-state regulations, the sign-up process tends to be pretty similar whichever site you choose. Check out our detailed sign up guide below:

1. Research and Check Reviews

I would never sign up to an online casino without first doing my research to avoid any unwanted surprises and understand what type of site I'm choosing. If I’m looking for a specific game or feature, like the ability to deposit using cryptocurrency or instant cashout options, I want to be sure in advance that the site I’ve chosen has me covered. This is where our reviews can help you. We leave no stone unturned, and everything on our site is based on genuine first hand engagement with each casino. The more research you put in up front, the better your experience is likely to be.

2. Complete the Sign Up Process

Since all licensed casinos in the US are required to gather the same information about their customers, this process is generally pretty similar, whichever site you choose. You can start by looking for the “Join Now” or “Sign Up” button on the casino’s homepage, often in the top right hand corner beside the “Login” button. This starts the process, which is sometimes split into a few different steps. Each step requires different information for you to fill out, including your name, date of birth, email address, phone number and physical address. You may also need to choose a username, as well as a unique password to access your account. You’ll also have to accept the casino’s terms and conditions and privacy policy before you finish.

3. Verify your Account

After signing up, you also need to complete the verification process to confirm your identity. Again, this is a legal requirement for licensed casinos in most US states. Normally, the casino will prompt you to begin the verification process immediately after you sign up, or even roll it into the sign up process. Sometimes, you’ll be able to sign up and start playing, and you won’t need to verify your account until you try to withdraw some winnings down the line. I recommend getting it out of the way right away.

Usually, you simply need to send the casino a copy of your ID, like your drivers license or passport. You may also need proof of address, or sometimes a selfie using your phone camera. The verification team checks this against the information you have provided to ensure you are eligible to gamble with them. The time it takes can vary, but in my experience, it's normal to wait around 24 hours before your account is verified. You only need to do this once, too.

4. Make a Deposit and Claim your Welcome Bonus

Pretty much all US casinos include some kind of welcome bonus to encourage new users to sign up. Find the best US casino bouse for you before you go through the sign up process, you may see a field to type in a “Bonus Code” or “Promo Code”. This is a special password that unlocks a specific welcome bonus once your account is set up, like some free spins or a deposit bonus. Check out the table at the top of this page for a list of the latest welcome bonuses at NetEnt casinos. Some casinos don’t require a code, but you may need to opt-in in some other way, like checking a box. Often, you’ll also need to make a qualifying first deposit in order to trigger the bonus.

Once your account is up and running, head to the “Cashier” or “Deposit” section, which you should find in the menu. You will be able to type in how much you want to deposit and choose between a variety of different payment methods, including bank cards, bank transfers, e-wallets like PayPal and more. Follow the instructions provided by the casino to complete the transaction. You might be redirected to sign into your online banking account or e-wallet, but ultimately, the process is similar to paying for anything else online. Once complete, the money should hit your casino account immediately.

5. Play Responsibly

Playing safely is at the heart of everything we do here at WSN.com and we have a couple of core principles that we want all of our readers to understand. For one, gambling is a form of entertainment and should be fun. It shouldn’t be a source of anxiety in your life, and if you find that it is, you need to re-examine your relationship with it. Second, gambling is not a viable way to make money. In fact, thanks to the house edge that is present in every single game in the casino, you are at a mathematical disadvantage and pretty much guaranteed to lose in the long run.

Top Us Casino Software Providers

NetEnt is just one of the design companies providing games at the best US casinos. Check out some of the other top casino software providers below:

Playtech

Playtech is one of the most prestigious game creators in the industry, with more than 700 different titles released since it was founded in 1999. Playtech casts its net wide with a huge variety of different types of games. There are tons of video slots but also live dealer tables filmed across different countries, as well as a huge selection of branded games based on TV shows and movies. King Kong and Gladiator are two Playtech slots that have helped to put the provider on the map of branded crossover content. Find out more about Playtech by checking out our best Playtech casinos in the US page.

Pragmatic Play

Pragmatic Play is a relative newcomer on the scene, founded in Malta in 2015. In less than ten years, it has grown into one of the most popular providers in the world, offering games in 40 different countries and 33 languages. IGT

Like NetEnt, International Game Technology (IGT) has its roots in old school brick-and-mortar casinos. The company was founded back in 1981, supplying gaming technology to Nevada casinos. IGT, like NetEnt, saw where the wind was blowing in the 1990s when it came to online gambling. It released its Wheel of Fortune slot in 1996, which would go on to become one of the most popular of all time. Today, the company has stayed true to its Vegas roots by creating not just a huge library of online slots, but also lots of virtual table games and video poker games. Check out our best IGT casinos in the US page to find out more about IGT and its games.

Evolution

Evolution has been the parent company of NetEnt since 2020, marking an end to NetEnt’s own live dealer production. This is because Evolution is widely regarded as the preeminent live online casino software provider in the world, since it was founded in Sweden in 2006. Evolution provides both classic casino gaming experiences that faithfully recreate the experience of games like blackjack and roulette at a busy casino and innovative twists and side games, like Lightning Roulette. There are also Game Show games, like Crazy Time and Monopoly Live, that feel like something entirely different from any casino games you’ve played before. Check out our dedicated page for the best Evolution casinos to find out more about the provider and its games.
