All of the events officially listed under the ‘swimming’ tag have been completed, and the subsequent medals have been awarded. But there are still three swimming events coming up: 10km marathon swimming - M, 10km swimming - W, and Artistic Swimming- Team.
A U.S. swimmer did not make the men’s 10km marathon, but there are two in the women’s event, and the U.S. is one of the top contenders in the artistic swimming-team competition.
Let’s review the betting odds (via BetMGM) for all three events.

Angelica Andre (POR) | +1000 BET HERE |
Chelsea Lea Gubecka (AUS) | +1000 BET HERE |
Based off times from the World Aquatics Championships - Doha 2024 in February, Rouwendaal should be the favorite since she won gold (1:57:26.8). But the competition was not too far back. Andre took the bronze (1:57:28.2), Cunha clocked in at 1:57:30.8, U.S. swimmer Mariah Denigan swam a 1:57:31.1, and another American, Katie Grimes, timed in at 1:57:39.4.
Beck was a little further back (1:58:11.8).
This tells me that it would not be crazy to bet on either American swimmer. But if you want to choose one, we’d recommend Denigan at +1200 over Grimes at +1400. Since you can get plus-money odds on the favorite, consider putting your money on Rouwendaal and a bonus bet on Denigan.
Cunha edged out Rouwendaal for gold in Tokyo. Using a bonus bet on her would not be a bad idea, either.

Team Medals Awarded on August 7
Both events will involve a free routine and a technical one, but the team competition will also include an acrobatic routine. Here are the odds of winning Artistic Swimming - Team (odds via BetMGM):
Medals awarded on August 10 (odds via BetRivers)
From everything we could find, it looks like China is aforce to be reckoned with in the world of artistic swimming. They won silver in the team and duet events in Tokyo and took home the gold medals at the World Aquatic Championships in Doha earlier this year.
Ukraine took bronze in both events in the Tokyo Games and performed well in Doha, as did Team USA. Canada also had some of the top performers in Doha.
In the duet competition, China’s pair (Liuyi Wang and Qiayni) easily won the technical category with a score of 266.0484 to 259.5601 (for the Great Britian duo, Kate Shortman and Isabelle Thorpe). The competition was closer for the duet-free competition, but China still won.
Team USA has (+5000) odds for the duet competition at BetRivers

Marc-Antoine Olivier (+300) at BetMGM
If you are wondering why Rasovszky is the favorite over Olivier, you are not alone. Both raced in the World Aquatics Open Water Swimming World Cup 2024 in Italy; Olivier took gold with a time of 1:50:03.00. Rasovszky won the bronze medal after clocking in at 1:50:04.5.
Wellbrock does not have a time listed at WorldAquatics.com for that event, but he swam it in 1:49:59 at the World Aquatics Championships - Doha 2024 in February. He clocked in at an even faster time at the World Aquatics Open Water Swimming World Cup 2023 (1:45:31.2)
