Our first prop bet of the day will take us to Las Vegas. This should be a fun series. The Edmonton Oilers and the Vegas Golden have two different play styles, which will make things interesting. The Oilers beat the Los Angeles Kings in six games in Round One. This was a really impressive series, especially considering that their defensemen stepped up when it mattered most. On the other side, the Golden Knights dominated the Winnipeg Jets in the First Round. Winnipeg won Game One, but the Golden Knights proceeded to win the next four games. Leon Draisaitl will be the subject of this prop. Draisaitl has been a machine in the Playoffs and leads the team with 11 points. His scoring has been incredibly impressive, and he will put a puck in the back of the net this game. Bet on Draisaitl to be an Anytime Scorer.

Draisaitl comes into this game after scoring an insane seven goals in the First Round of the Playoffs. This is crazy, considering no other Oiler had more than three goals in the First Round. Draisaitl did not score in Game Three but had at least one goal in every other game of the series. The 27-year-old will look to set the tone early in this game and will not hesitate to shoot. Since Draisaitl will shoot a lot, he will end up with a goal. Bet on him to be an Anytime Scorer.

We will go to Raleigh, North Carolina, for our second prop bet of the day. This series will be intense, and I would not be surprised if it goes seven games. The Devils faced the New York Rangers in the First Round. They lost 5-1 in Games One and Two but won Games Three, Four, and Five. New York won Game Six, but the Devils crushed the Rangers in Game Seven, shutting them out 4-0. Their opponents, the Hurricanes, had a bit of an easier go of it in the First Round and beat the New York Islanders in six games. Carolina always had the series lead over the Islanders, so it never felt like there was too much pressure on them. This prop will involve the Devils’ Jack Hughes. Hughes played in every game in the First Round and has a team-leading 32 shots. He will put up four or more shots in this game. Bet on the over.

As I mentioned above, Hughes took 32 shots in the First Round. I am only saying this a second time because the next closest Devil, Nico Hischier, had 22 shots. No player on his team was even close to Hughes in shots on goal. Since this is the first game of the series, Hughes will look to shoot more and score his first goal against the Hurricanes. It is also worth noting that the 21-year-old shot nine times in Game Six, so he can easily put up four shots in this game. Bet on the over.

Our next two props will keep us in North Carolina. This prop will involve the Devils’ Timo Meier. Meier had a horrible First Round and will not have a point in this game. Bet on the under.

The Devils traded for Meier at the Trade Deadline, hoping he could help them in the Playoffs. That plan has not worked out so far. Meier played in every First Round game and averaged over sixteen minutes on the ice per game but failed to get a point. He could not even get an assist. Meier is going through a slump at the worst time, and I do not expect it to end today. He is a great player but cannot do much right at the moment. Meier will continue his scoreless streak today and end this game without a point. Bet on the under.

We will focus more on the Hurricanes for this prop, specifically Brent Burns. Burns did not score in the First Rounds, but he did lead the Hurricanes with five assists. Since he has been passing well in the Playoffs, I expect him to have another assist in this game. Bet on the over.

Burns had two assists in Game One, two assists in Game Two, and one assist in Game Four of the First Round. He has not had an assist in the last two games, but I would not be concerned. This simply means he is due for one in this game. The 38-year-old will probably play over 22 minutes this game, so he will have plenty of opportunities to get an assist. Bet on the over.

Edmonton Oilers vs Vegas Golden Knights

Alex Pietrangelo O 0.5 Points -120 (BetMGM)

We will return to Las Vegas for our final prop bet of the day. Our first prop bet involved Leon Draisaitl, but this one will involve the Oilers’ Alex Pietrangelo. Pietrangelo is an impressive defenseman and plays some key minutes on the ice, but he also creates solid offensive production for the Golden Knights. He is no Adam Fox, but he is a smart player and knows when to make the right play. The veteran will finish this game with a point. Bet on the over.

Pietrangelo finished the regular season with 11 goals and 43 assists in 73 games. He followed that up with five assists in the First Round of the Playoffs. He did not score a goal in that round but made some key passes. I do not expect him to score a goal in this game, but since the Golden Knights averaged almost four goals a game in the First Round, Pietrangelo will have plenty of opportunities to get an assist in this game and will do so. Bet on the over.
