The Carolina Hurricanes will take on the Florida Panthers in an intense Game Three battle. Carolina is down 2-0, but both games have been quite close. Game One went into four overtimes and ended with a Matthew Tkachuk goal. Game Two went into one overtime and also finished with a Matthew Tkackuk. That leads very nicely into this prop. Of course, Tkackuk has been scoring quite well in the Playoffs, but he has more assists than goals. I expect him to increase his assist count today and end with at least one. Bet on the over.

Tkachuk has 11 assists in the Playoffs. He is yet to have one in this series, but that will change today. The 25-year-old is a unique talent and a talented passer. He rarely goes more than two games without an assist, so he is due for one today. Play it safe and bet on him to successfully set up a teammate with a scoring opportunity. Bet on the over.

Our second prop bet of the day involves the Hurricanes’ Brent Burns. Burns is no longer a spring chicken, but he puts plenty of shots on goal. This will not change today. The 37-year-old will shoot at least four times. Bet on the over.

Burns rarely puts the puck in the back of the net. In fact, he has only scored twice in the Playoffs. Burns is converting only 4% of his shots, but that is not stopping him from shooting. He is averaging 3.85 shots per game in the Playoffs and put up eight of them in Game One of this series. The defenseman only shot once in Game One, which is not a normal situation. Bet on Burns to return to form and bet on the over.

The Panthers’ Sam Bennett will be the subject of our fourth prop of the day. Bennett has been critical to the Panthers’ success this Postseason and has had two huge assists in this round. He will not slow down today and will have another point. Bet on the over.

Bennett has ten points (four goals, six assists) in the Playoffs. His production has been consistent since the end of the regular season. His stats do not jump off the page, but Bennett has been off of Florida’s better players in the Playoffs. I do not expect the 26-year-old to have an incredible game today, but I expect him to figure out a way to have at least an assist or a goal. Bet on the over.

Carolina Hurricanes vs Florida Panthers

Aleksander Barkov O 2.5 Shots on Goal -135 (BetMGM)

We are one to our final prop bet of the day. This prop will involve the Panthers’ Aleksander Barkov. Barkov had a great regular season and took that success into the Playoffs. He has scored four goals and has eight assists in 14 games. Barkov does not lead the Panthers in shots, but he is shooting a bit. He will finish this game with at least three shots. Bet on the over.

Barkov has shot three times each in his last three games and had six shots in the game before that. He is averaging 2.86 shots per game in the Playoffs. Given that he has put up at least three shots in his last four games and is averaging nearly 2.9 shots per game in the Playoffs, I do not see any reason to go for the under. Bet on the over.
