This Tuesday night in the NHL should be a great opportunity for some of the more underrated and young players in the league to account for great performances. Among some of the best player prop lines to potentially bet on for tonight’s game are two defenders from elite teams and a young “star” in the making. Kicking off a busy night in the NHL is the Eastern Conference matchup between the Florida Panthers visiting the New Jersey Devils. The Panthers are coming into this game with a five-game winning streak, with their offense playing at a high level. Within the last five games, the Panthers have scored at least three goals with three games being four goals.
There have been several players who have made an impact for Florida after the NHL All-Star break. One of the biggest, surprising contributions is defender Brandon Montour. In the 13 games since the All-Star break, Montour has accounted for 14 points with 10 of them being assists. He has accounted for two or more points in five of the last eight games for the Panthers.
Montour and the Panthers have a chance to account for another huge offensive performance as they take on a devil's team whose defense is among the worst in the league. New Jersey is allowing an average of 3.49 goals per game, 27th in the league. Montour’s player prop line in this game is easily one of the best in this game, if not, the entire slate of props tonight.

Another matchup that could be completely one-sided is the game between the Seattle Kraken going on the road to take on the Winnipeg Jets. The Jets are one of the most consistent teams in the NHL while Seattle is still trying to find a rhythm. The Kraken are also coming off a win over the Calgary Flames the night before.
This game will be a good chance for The Jets to catch a potentially fatigued Krakens’ defense off guard. One way to accomplish this is for the Jets to consistently set up great scoring opportunities throughout the game. Defender Josh Morrissey has been a prime example of a player who has been solid in setting up shots for his teammates.
In the 13 games since the NHL All-Star Break, Morrissey has accounted for 17 points with 16 of them being assists. He has accounted for an assist in seven of the last eight games played for the Jets.

The Dallas Stars are looking to redeem themselves after a nearly embarrassing loss to the San Jose Sharks last Saturday. Dallas only scored two goals in regulation and had to defeat San Jose with a 3-2 score in a shootout to take the victory. This has been a common theme for the Stars within the past few weeks as offensive inefficiencies have shown.
They can make all of that up with a solid performance on Tuesday night on the road against the Sharks again. 20-year center Wyatt Johnson has been a player who has been finding his rhythm late this season for the Stars.
Johnson has accounted for a goal or an assist in three of the last four games for Dallas with fewer shot opportunities. If he can be more aggressive in games and be more a part of a dynamic group of offensive players for Dallas, he could account for even more points. He could be a key player moving forward and a potential young star in an already-loaded roster.
Johnson should find his way to the scoreboard as well with the Sharks possessing the worst-scoring defense in the league (3.83 goals allowed per game).
