NHL Prop Bets Mar 10

Chicago Blackhawks vs Florida Panthers

Sergei Bobrovksy O 22.5 Saves -112 (FanDuel)

Our first prop bet of the day is a goalie prop. It involves the Florida Panthers Sergei Bobrovsky. Bobrovsky used to be one of the best netminders in the NHL. However, he has fallen off a bit since then but is still reliable enough. He will finish with 23 or more saves today. Bet on the over.

This is an interesting prop because it is set pretty low. The over/under is set at 22.5 saves, which is very attainable for Bobrovsky. He comes into this game with a .907 save percentage but has been even better in his previous two starts. In both starts, the veteran saved 31-32 shots.

The Panthers have a suspect defense and allow 32.2 shots per game. They are facing a Blackhawks team that does not shoot that much but should put up at least 26 shots today. If Chicago shoots 26 times and Bobrovsky continues to be a force in net, he will save at least 23 shots. 23 saves are on the low end. The 34-year-old will likely finish with at least 25 saves. Bet on the over.

Anaheim Ducks vs Calgary Flames

Troy Terry U 2.5 Shots on Goal -160 (FanDuel)

Our second prop of the day is a safe one. It takes us to Calgary, Alberta, and involves the Anaheim Ducks’ Troy Terry. Terry is one of a few young stars on the Ducks and one of their best players. However, he does not shoot a ton, so I would bet on the under.

Terry averages 2.74 shots per game but is facing a Flames team that only allows 27.4 shots per game. The Flames are very good at limiting their opponents' shooting. They are also good at limiting certain players shooting.

It is also worth mentioning that Terry has not shot more than twice in his previous four games. The winger has not been aggressive, and it shows. If you combine Terry’s hesitance to shoot over the last few games with the Flames’ stronger defense, you will see why the under is the better bet.
