My Pick – Auston Matthews to Account for Over 1.5 Points (+150) at DraftKings

The NHL is set for an easy Eastern Conference matchup as the Toronto Maple Leafs go on the road to take on the Columbus Blue Jackets. This game is going to be one of the biggest mismatches of the night as the Maple Leafs’ offense takes on a Blue Jackets defense that is continuing to decline.

Toronto's offense ranks fourth in the league in goals per game, averaging 3.5 three goals per game. This is due to the elite playmaking of center Auston Matthews, forward William Nylander, and a solid slate of role players. Matthews has accounted for 42 points this season as he is one of the top scorers in the league with 28 goals while also accounting for 14 assists.

He should have no problem scoring against the Columbus Blue Jackets defense that is right 31st (second the worst in the league) in goals allowed per game (3.64). They have recently surpassed the Chicago Blackhawks as the second-worst defense in the league.

New Jersey Devils vs. Ottowa Senators

My Pick – Dawson Mercer to Account for Over 0.5 Points (+124) at DraftKings

Another early game that will have huge significant value in player props is the Eastern Conference matchup between the New Jersey Devils and the Ottawa Senators. This game has great value for two different reasons with the first one being that the Senators are the favorites going into this game despite being the less talented team. The second is that this game has huge potential for a high-scoring affair which leads to great player props.

Both the Senators and the Devils rank in the top ten in goals per game but ranked in the bottom 5 in goals allowed per game. The Devils have the more trusting team as they have not only some of the best young star talent but also an incredible selection of solid role players.

One role player to take note of in this game is Devils center Dawson Mercer. Outside of store senator Jack Hughes, Mercer is the player who can help get the devil's offense rolling efficiently. Mercer is on A roll by accounting for five total points in two of the last three games. Washington Capitols vs. New York Islanders

My Pick – Matthew Barzal to Account for Under 0.5 Points (+175) at DraftKings

The New York Islanders are a team that has been on the rise this season did you stellar play from most of their star players including center Matthew Barzal. Through 33 games this season, Barzal has accounted for 35 points with ten of them being goals and 25 businesses.

Barzal and the Islanders are set to host the Washington Capitals, a team that has had their number in the past few seasons.

And the two previous matchups this season against the Capitals, barzel has been limited to no assists or no goals. The Capitals are among the top-ranked defenses in the league as they are among the best teams in the league when it comes to limiting the production of star players. For the Capitals to win this game, their offensive efficiency compared to the Highlanders, they will need to hold Barzal once again scoreless.
