Four games are kicking off the new week of the NHL, including a few games where some of the best teams in the league are trying to snap a losing streak. There are a few games on today's slate that should bring a great set of potential earnings for betters. While some of them are risky, they will bring significant earnings and are likely to be accomplished just by the opponents the targeted players are facing.
The Toronto Maple Leafs have been on a serious run for the past month they are looking to make themselves one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference. They're looking to get their fifth win in the last six games as they take on a back-to-back in New York starting with the Islanders tonight.
Forward William Nylander has been averaging only one goal in the last five games as they have been spreading the puck around to account for scores. One player who's been on a consistent run in points is center Auston Matthews, who has accounted for two points in three of the last four games for Toronto.
The middle Leafs have a great chance to get on the board early and often as they are ninth in the league in goals per game (3.33). They are taking on a hilarious team that is ranked 15th in the league and goes allowed per game (3.15).
Another early game set for Monday night is the Western Conference versus Eastern Conference matchup between the Arizona counties and the Buffalo Sabres. The Coyotes are coming into this game with a better offense and defense than the Sabres.
Arizona is ranked 11th in the league in goals allowed per game (2.96) and they have been getting better as the season has progressed. The biggest question of the game isn't from the Arizona side is more on the matter of how efficiently can the Sabres play.
Buffalo is in the bottom half of the league in every major category on both sides of the eyes. Offensively, Buffalo only averages 2.82 goals per game, which is 25th in the league.
They are hoping to get a serious impact from several of their key players, including defender Rasmus Dahlin, who has accounted for 21 points and 15 goals this season. He is among the players that when the Sabres are feeling the pressure, there is no impact from the team. He has one of the lowest plus/minus this season for Buffalo at -9.
The final game of the night is set to be a big one in the Western Conference as the Calgary Flames go on the road to take on the Colorado Avalanche. Surprisingly, this is not the most one-sided projected matchup of the night in the NHL despite the records being significantly different.
The Avalanche are looking to avoid losing their 6th game in their last seven matchups. They are currently on a two-game losing streak.
Only center Nathan McKinnon has been a player who has been carrying the team to some sort of consistency through these last six games. He has scored two or more points in two of the last three games. He accounted for two or more points in four of the last eight games. If there is one player who can help get the Avalanche back on the winning streak it is McKinnon.
The Avalanche are still 7th in the league in goals per game (3.44), and they are taking on a Flames team that is ranked 23rd in goals allowed per game (3.33).
