Our first prop bet of the day will take us to Madison Square Garden for a matchup between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the New York Rangers. There are only three games on the slate today, and this one will be the most exciting one by far. This prop will involve the Lightnings’ Alex Killorn. Killorn is not a star on this Lightning squad, but he does contribute on the offensive end. The 33-year-old is averaging 0.77 points per game and stars in his role on the Lightnings’ third line. Killorin will finish with at least one point today. Bet on the over.
Killorn comes into this game with 24 goals and 35 assists. As I mentioned above, he is not a star, but he is a consistent contributor. The winger is coming off a one-assist game against the New York Islanders and has at least one point in his previous four games. The veteran is yet to secure a point in two games against the Rangers this season, but that will change in this game. Killorn rarely goes more than two games without a point, so I would be surprised if he is stifled once more. Play it safe and bet on the over.
We will go from Madison Square Garden to the Canada Life Center for our second prop of the day. This prop will come from the Calgary Flames vs Winnipeg Jets matchup. These teams are within two points of each other, so this will be quite an intense matchup. We will look at the Jets Pierre-Luc Dubois for this bet. Dubious is one of the better players on the Jets and performing well in his second year in Winnipeg. The 24-year-old is not a huge threat to any team but is a solid goal-scorer and a decent passer. Dubois will finish with a point today. Bet on the over.
Dubious is coming off a one-goal, one-assist game against the New Jersey Devils. This is impressive for two reasons. The first one is that it is difficult to get a goal and an assist in the same game. The other one is this game was against the Devils. The Devils are a strong defensive team and only allow a little over 2.8 goals per game. I only say this to illustrate that Dubious has momentum heading into this matchup. In addition, Dubois has two points in two games against the Flames this season. He is not torching them, but he is performing well and will end with a point today. Bet on the over.
Our third prop of the day will come from our third game of the day. This matchup will be between the Edmonton Oilers and the Anaheim Ducks. This should be a lopsided game, as the Oilers are surging, and the Ducks have lost their last eight games. We will focus on the Oilers’ Zach Hyman for this prop. Hyman is having the best season of his career and currently has 80 points (34 goals, 46 assists) in 76 games. He is a solid scorer, but the over/under is set a little too high. Hyman will finish with three shots or less. Bet on the under.
Hyman has only shot twice in each of his previous two games. One of those games happened to be against the Anaheim Ducks. For some reason, the Ducks did not let him shoot much. I am focusing on this because it is not the first time it has happened this season. Hyman also only shot twice in another game against the Ducks. Nothing more needs to be said. Hyman will finish with three shots or less. Bet on the under.
Since there are only three games today, we will have to take another prop from the Lightning-Rangers game. The first prop involved the Lightning’s Alex Killorn, but this one will involve the Rangers’ Artemi Panarin. Panarin’s numbers have dropped a touch since last season, but he is still a stud on the ice. He will finish with at least three shots. Bet on the over.
The over is simply the logical choice for this prop. This is for a few reasons. The main one is Panarin has had three shots or more in his previous four games. The other reason is he shot four times the last time he faced the Lightning. In case that is not enough, I will add that Panarin shoots more at home. I could give you a few more reasons why Panarin will have at least three shots today, but I have said enough. Bet on the over.
We are on to our final prop of the day. This prop will come from the Flames-Jets matchup. We will look at the Jets’ Kyle Connor for this bet. Connor is a masterful player and very dangerous with the puck in his hands. The 26-year-old is quite skilled and knows how to pass and shoot well. He will finish with an assist today. Bet on the over.
Connor has 48 assists in 77 games this season. He goes through some stretches of games without an assist, but that is not happening right now. Connor failed to get an assist in his previous game against the New Jersey Devils but had an assist in his game before that. He will face a Calgary Flames team that allows nearly 3.1 goals today. I only say this to show why he will plenty of opportunities to get an assist today. I realize this is a bit of a risky bet, but it is one worth taking. Bet on the over.
