Our first prop bet of the day involves an exciting matchup between the Tampa Bay Lightning and New Jersey Devils. This prop involves Lightning star center Brayden Point. Point is having a tremendous season but will not shoot three or more times today. Bet on the under.
Brayden Point is not shy when it comes to shooting the puck, but the under/over is set a little too high for him this game. If it was set at 1.5 shots on goal, I would recommend betting on the over, but 2.5 is not reasonable. This is because Point is facing a tough New Jersey Devils squad. He only put up one shot when he first faced them (on Tuesday). Point also failed to shoot once in his game before that.
Point is simply playing a Devils team that has too many quality defensemen and only allows 28.2 shots per game. The New Jersey defense is too strong and will not allow the Lightning to take 30+ shots. There will not be enough shots to go around, so Point will not be able to get three. Bet on the under.
Our second prop bet takes us to Madison Square Garden for an intense game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and New York Rangers. We will look to Bryan Rust for this bet. Rust is having a quiet season and has seen a steep drop off in production since last year. The 30-year-old had 58 points in 60 games last year but only has 38 points in 66 games this year. He will not secure point #39 in this game. Bet on the under.
Rust is facing a newly revamped New York Rangers team. The Rangers made a few significant trades at the Trade Deadline, and their team became much more dangerous. Defensively, New York is solid and allows less than 2.8 goals per game. Simply put, the Rangers have a well-rounded team. Rust has had his struggles against this team this season. He scored a goal in his first game against them but failed to secure a point in his second game against them.
In addition to Rust facing a tough Rangers team, he often also goes many games at a time with no points. For instance, this month, he only has one point in six games. Rust is not on his A-game, and it shows. Bet on the under.
Jason Robertson has established himself as one of the best players in the NHL this season. Robertson is known for scoring (his 39 goals are tied for the seventh-most in the league) but is also a solid passer. However, we do not hear too much about his passing talent since he is such a skilled shooter. I expect Robertson’s passing to be on full display in this game. He will finish with an assist. Bet on the over.
Robertson commands so much attention on the ice, which leads to him being able to set up his teammates with scoring opportunities. Sometimes, his best option is to pass the puck and let his teammates shoot. This has resulted in a team-leading 46 assists. This month, Robertson’s passing has been on even stronger display. In eight games, he has eight assists. He is in a passing groove, which makes the over a much better bet.
In case my first argument was not enough, I will add that Robertson has three assists in two games against the Oilers this season. Bet on the over.

Our fourth prop bet takes us to Ottawa, Ontario, and involves Senators winger Tim Stuzle. The Senators are struggling and having a tough season, but Stutzle has been one of the few shining stars. He will finish with a goal today. Bet on the over.
Stutzle may be one of the future faces of the NHL. He is 21 years old and already has 73 points (34 goals and 39 assists) in 63 games. The winger will face the Colorado Avalanche today. The Avalanche have a strong defense and only allow 3.2 goals per game. However, Stutzle has been shooting with much more ease lately and has three goals in his previous two games. He has momentum, which will lead to him shooting more in this matchup and having additional scoring opportunities.
It is also worth noting that Stutzle is playing at home and has more goal-scoring success in Denver. The 2020 1st round Draft pick has 21 goals in 32 home games and 13 goals in 31 away games. Bet on the over.

Our final prop bet of the day takes us to Winnipeg for the Bruins-Jets matchup. This bet involves Bruins’ superstar winger David Pastrnak. Pastrnak has an insane 89 points (fourth-most in the NHL) and has been firing on all cylinders all season long. His goal-scoring and passing abilities are second to none, and he has cemented himself as a top ten player this year. The 26-year-old will score a goal this game. Bet on the over.
Pastrnak is coming into this game with 46 goals and 43 assists. He is having a very well-rounded season, but I will only focus on his shooting ability. The Czech native is an efficient shooter and makes 15% of his shots. He is having a strong shooting month and has four goals in six games so far. This is not enough to convince you to bet on the over, but it does help. I will also add that Pastrnak has seen scoring success against the Jets this season. He put a puck in the back of the net the first time he saw them this year. Bet on the over.
