One of the top NHL games on Friday's slate is the highly anticipated Eastern Conference matchup between the Carolina Hurricanes (8-5) and the Florida Panthers (7-4-1). This game will feature a matchup between two different offensive styles. Hurricanes are fast and explosive, while the Panthers are more methodical and take their time.
Carolina started the season with a 3-1 overall record, with their biggest win being on the road against the Los Angeles Kings 6-5. The Hurricanes then went on a three-game losing streak, all on the road. After an extensive road trip, The Hurricanes have found a groove offensively by winning five of their last six games.
The Panthers start the season on an up-and-down slate. They have been like that since the beginning of the season. Florida, however, has won three of their last four games. Their most recent win was a 4-3 road victory over the Washington Capitals.
Carolina averages 3.38 Goals per game, which is 10th in the league. They are finding multiple key players to get involved. Five players for the Hurricanes have accounted for ten or more this season. Also making a huge impact is forward Teuvo Teravainen, who has accounted for a team-high eight goals this season.
Florida may have a different offensive rhythm than Carolina, but they have found ways to get involved and keep up with their opponents in scoring. Center Sam Reinhart is the most efficient offensive player for the Panthers at 15 points, nine goals, and six assists.

One of the most underrated games going into this Friday's matchups is set for the Minnesota Wild (5-6-2) going on the road to take on the Buffalo Sabres (6-6-1). These teams are in the middle of the Eastern and Western Conference pack.
The Wild started the season winning two of their first three games, with the verse being a huge 2-0 win at home versus the Florida Panthers. They went on to win only one of the next seven games, as their defense allowed many goals. Four of the six losses during the streak were the games where they gave up five goals. The Wild have won two of their last three games and are coming off a 4-1 road loss to the New York Rangers the night before.
Buffalo started the season up and down by one of their first four games, followed by a series of one win and one loss. Buffalo has accounted for four wins in their last seven games, including some huge upsets at home versus Colorado 4-0 and Philadelphia 5-2.
Offensively, the two teams are not far apart, as Minnesota is averaging 3.38 goals per game while Buffalo is averaging 3.15 goals per game. The biggest difference in this matchup will be on the defensive side of the ice. Buffalo is allowing an average of 3.15 goals per game, while the Wild are allowing an average of 4.0, third-worst in the league.

The final matchup of the night is set for a Western Conference versus Eastern Conference matchup as the Anaheim Ducks host the Philadelphia Flyers. The Ducks are coming into this game with a much better efficiency on the opposite side of the ice and defense as well as the homecourt advantage, yet Anaheim is barely a favorite in this game. This should be a great opportunity for players to earn some significant winnings.
Philadelphia has only won one game in their last six matchups. The Flyers are coming off a disastrous 2-1 loss to the San Jose Sharks. This was the Sharks’ first win of this season.
Anaheim has won six consecutive games after starting the season with a 1-4 overall record. The Ducks are coming to a tough 2-0 home loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins.
This game will be the second matchup of the season, with the previous dating back to October 28 when the Ducks defeated the Flyers 7-4. Ducks forward Frank Vantrano scored three goals against the inconsistent defense of the Flyers.
Bad defensive play has been circling the Flyers since the start of the season, as they allow an average of 3.5 goals per game. Anaheim is coming into this game with the more productive offense, averaging 3.08 goals per game, while Philadelphia is averaging only 2.92.
