Kicking off a new week in the NHL is the Western Conference matchup set as the Vegas Golden Knights (38-25-7) go on the road to take on the St. Louis Blues (38-30-3). This will be the final game of the series between these two teams.
They have previously met twice in a home-and-home series as the Blues took the first win with a 2-1 score on the road in overtime, with the winning goal coming from forward Pavel Bucknevich. The Golden Knights got revenge two days later on the road with a 6-3 score. The Golden Knights scored four goals in the second period and center Jack Eichel and forward Keegan Kolesar each accounted for a goal and an assist.
The Blues are looking to overtake the Golden Knights for the final wild-card seed in the Western Conference playoff standings. They were not in a great predicament coming into the month of March, but in the past few weeks, the Blues have come alive. St. Louis has won six of the last seven games, with their only loss being a 4-3 score to the Colorado Avalanche. They won two consecutive games, their most recent being a 5-4 win in overtime at the Minnesota Wild.
Vegas had a rough stretch from the beginning of February going into the month of March. After the 3-2 win over the Arizona Coyotes, the Golden Knights would win only two of the next 11 games. They have, however, won five of the last seven games as they have played teams that are more unbalanced on one side of the ice than the other.
The Golden Knights are coming into this game with a significant advantage on both sides of the ice. Vegas is 14th in the league in goals per game (3.17) while their defense ranks 11th in the league in goals allowed per game (2.94). St. Louis ranks 25th in goals per game (2.86) while their defense ranks 16th in goals allowed per game (3.01).

The final game of the night is set for a huge matchup between Pacific Divisional opponents who are already among the top three in the playoff seedings. The Los Angeles Kings (37-22-11) go on the road to take on the Vancouver Canucks (45-18-8) in a game that is not necessarily a must-win, but consistency at this point of the season needs to be established.
Both the Kings and Canucks have met twice this season, with each team getting a big road win. The Kings got the first win with a 5-1 score on February 29, but the Canucks got revenge just a few games later on the road with a 2-1 win in overtime.
The Canucks are coming to this game with a three-game winning streak and have won seven of the last nine games played, including the win over the Kings. Vancouver has had impressive wins over the span, including wins over Los Angeles, at Vegas and a 5-0 win at home at the Winnipeg Jets.
Los Angeles was up and down within the first few games of March, but they have won three consecutive games. Their offense has kicked up to another level over the past three games as they have scored a total of 16 points, the first two games featured six points each against the Chicago Blackhawks and the Minnesota Wild. The Kings are coming off a 4-3 win in overtime at home where is the Tampa Bay Lightning.
This game has a chance to be another low-scoring matchup as the Kings and the Canucks possess some of the most efficient defenses in the league. Los Angeles is ranked third in goals allowed per game (2.54) while Vancouver is fourth in goals allowed per game (2.67).
The edge in this matchup will go to the Canucks as they possess an offense ranked fifth in the league (3.51 goals per game). Los Angeles is just starting to come around offensively but is facing a much more efficient defense as opposed to the Blackhawks, Wild and the Lightning. The Kings are ranked 18th in the league in goals per game (3.11).
