These are bets that are going to potentially give better and casual sports fans huge significant earnings for DraftKings. There is a lot of risk with one team playing a second game in a back-to-back, but the reward is high. Another risky bet is a pick'em game between two Western Conference teams where you can't go wrong with the team you pick, you just have to be right.

One of the biggest games of the night is set for an Eastern Conference showdown as the red-hot Carolina Hurricanes (44-20-6) go on the road to take on the Washington Capitals (33-26-9). The Hurricanes are getting closer to overtaking the New York Rangers for the top spot in the Metropolitan Division.
The Capitals were on a significant winning streak until their 7-3 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday. Now the Capitals are back under the Detroit Red Wings for the current final Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference.
This game tonight will be the third matchup this season between these two divisional rivals. The Hurricanes won the first matchup with a 6-2 score at home. The Capitals got their revenge not long afterward with a 2-1 score as their defense took over.
So much has changed since the previous matchup between the two teams thanks to the NHL Trade Deadline. Washington made key trades with their role players and depth. Not only did the Hurricanes address the depth, but they added a new star to the team in forward Jake Guentzel.
The Capitals felt like they were finding their defensive rhythm last week when they held three opponents to four total points in their previous three wins. They lost that momentum when they were blown out 7-3 by the Maple Leafs.
The Hurricanes are feeling great in their ability to win night-in and night-out. Last night, the Hurricanes defeated the Philadelphia Flyers with a 3-2 score in overtime to make it five consecutive games. They are coming into the game with an elite offense (3.39 goals per game) and even better defense (2.62 goals allowed per game).
While the Hurricanes are going to be playing a second game of a back-to-back, they are more than capable of playing at a high level at this point in the season.

The final game of the night might be the closest matchup of the week in terms of betting odds. The closest matchup of the week is for a Western Conference battle as the Seattle Kraken (28-27-12) go on the road to take on the Arizona Coyotes (28-36-5), one of the worst-performing teams in the second half of the season. The Kraken and Coyotes are coming into this game as a dead even.
This game tonight will be the second time these two teams have met on the ice. Arizona took a 4-3 win at home in a shootout on November 7 at a time when the Kraken were starting the season off on a horrible note.
This point of the season is not looking for the playoff chances of the Kraken or the future of the Coyotes. Seattle had hopes of making a serious run for a Wild Card spot for a second consecutive season. The Kraken have lost five consecutive games with the latest being a 6-2 home loss to the Buffalo Sabres.
Arizona had one of their best stretches in the second half of the season. with a 3-3 record in their last six games. Two of those wins were against a mentally unstable Detroit Red Wings.
The Kraken are coming into this game with the more efficient defense that ranks ninth in the league in goals allowed per game (2.87) even at the expense of a bad offense. Arizona is ranked 23rd in the league in goals per game (2.9) and goals allowed per game (3.32). It will not be easy for the Kraken, but they are more trustworthy than the Coyotes.
