The first, but biggest game of the night is set for a potential Eastern Conference Finals preview. The New York Rangers (45-20-4) are set to go on the road to take on the Boston Bruins (41-14-5). The Rangers have the top spot in the Metropolitan Division over a red-hot Carolina Hurricanes. The Bruins have the top spot in the Atlantic Division over the Florida Panthers, who are one of the most impressive teams in the second half of the season.
This game tonight will be the third and final matchup of the season between these two elite teams. New York has won both games, on the road and at home. The Rangers won the first game in a high-power offensive game with a 7-4 score on November 25. Less than a month later on December 16, the Rangers took a 2-1 win in overtime to take the series this season.
The Rangers have won five of the last seven games, but are coming off a 4-2 home loss to the Winnipeg Jets. Among the Rangers’ biggest wins in the last few games are a 3-1 home win over the New Jersey Devils and a 1-0 road win over Hurricanes.
The Bruins remain one of the most consistent teams in the league. They have won five of the last six games played, with their only loss being a 5-1 home loss to the St. Louis Blues. They are coming off a 6-5 home win over the Philadelphia Flyers and a 6-2 home win over the Ottawa Senators.
Both the Rangers and the Bruins have remained two of the top teams in the league. The Rangers are ranked 10th in the league in goals per game (3.33) and sixth in goals allowed per game (2.7). The Bruins are ranked ninth in the league (3.34) and seventh in goals allowed per game (2.7) with more games played.
This will be the revenge game that the Bruins have been looking for this season and at a great time to get momentum for the postseason.

One of the best bets of the night is surprisingly the cross-conference matchup between the Winnipeg Jets (44-19-5) and the New Jersey Devils (33-32-4). The Devils are hovering just over .500% after a rough start to the second half of the season. The Jets, on the other hand, are one of the most impressive teams in the league.
Winnipeg has the top-ranked defense, the stability, and the winning streak. New Jersey has an offense that is slightly better and a home-court advantage, yet, the lines for this game are incredibly close. There is serious faith that the Devils will pull off the upset.
Winnipeg has won four of the last five games, including a three-game winning streak. They are coming off a 4-2 road win at the New York Rangers this past Tuesday.
At one point of the season, the Devils were serious Wild Card contenders thanks to their elite offensive play. What brought the talented Devils down was the injuries to their star center in Jack Hughes and the poor play on the defensive side of the ice. The Devils have only accounted for three wins in their last ten games. They are coming off a 5-2 home win over the Pittsburgh Penguins this past Tuesday.
The Jets are coming into this game with the 15th-ranked scoring offense with an average of 3.15 goals per game. Their biggest success this season is their stellar play on the defensive side of the ice where they rank first in the league in goals allowed per game (2.34). The Devils are ranked 13th in the league in goals per game (3.26), but their defense has allowed an average of 3.43 goals per game (27th in the league).
The Jets should easily find their way to account for a big win in tonight’s game; shedding any indication of a potential upset.
