The Jets have lost five straight games
Stefon Diggs is being evaluated for a torn ACL
Aaron Rodgers has thrown six interceptions over his last four games
This week’s Thursday Night Matchup between the Houston Texans and New York Jets seemed like a possible AFC Championship preview before the season started. That is no longer the case, as New York dropped to 2-6 after losing to the Pats in Week 8. This is a must-win game if the team wants to keep their playoff hopes alive.
If you want to bet on this week’s Thursday Night Football matchup between the 49ers and Seahawks, you have come to the right place. Below, we’ll share our favorite Same Game Parlay for this matchup. The Texans entered this game with a long list of injuries, but we saw everything we needed to give up on the Jets on Sunday.
New York lost to one of the worst teams in the league in Week 8, losing 25-22 to the Pats. What is worse is that they knocked out Drake Maye, the team’s only offensive weapon, and still lost. It is clear Rodgers and the passing game is broken, and the once-great defense is now mediocre.
The biggest issue the Texans will be dealing with is injuries to receivers, with Stefon Diggs and Nico Collins missing this week. However, CJ Stroud is good enough to work with whatever receivers are on the field. Given the disappointing play of the Jets’ secondary, we expect the young QB to thrive, putting the final nail in the coffin for New York’s season.

It has become clear that Rodgers is not even close to the elite quarterback he once was. He is only averaging 6.7 yards per attempt, the lowest mark of his career, while also being on pace to set a career-high in interceptions. That is despite having Garrett Wilson and Davante Adams on the field, arguably the best-receiving duos in the league.
The Texans' pass defense has been fantastic this season, allowing the third-least yards per game (164.3). Their pass rush is a big reason they are registering the third-most sacks in the league. That will lead the Jets to lean on Breece Hall and the run game on Thursday.

The Jets are struggling against the run this season, which is great news for Joe Mixon. After missing a few weeks with an injury, the veteran back has rushed for over 100 yards in three consecutive games. He is now averaging 4.9 YPC, making him one of the most dangerous backs in the league.
Mixon has seen 25 carries in two straight games, and we expect him to reach that mark again on Thursday. Given the Jets’ problems against the run and the injuries to the Texans’ receiving corps, Houston will lean heavily on Mixon and the run game this week.
