After starting the season with a great Thursday Night Football game between the Los Angeles Rams and Buffalo Bills, we get a massive AFC West matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers.
Both teams not only won in Week 1 but covered their respective spreads.
However, the big headline heading into this game concerns the Chargers as starting wide receiver Keenan Allen is dealing with a hamstring injury and will miss this game, taking a weapon away from quarterback Justin Herbert.
What impact will this have on the game?
Let’s devise a Same Game Parlay.

Following a five-point win over the Las Vegas Raiders, scoring just 24 points, you may be scratching your head at this pick.
After all, the Chargers are going up against a team who just won by multiple scores on the road against the Arizona Cardinals while dropping 44 points.
Simply put, the Chargers are a far better team than the Cardinals.
This is a division matchup, just as the Chargers and Raiders were. These games tend to play close, and, honestly, each team in this division should be above .500 and pushing for the playoffs.
Of course, without Allen, Herbert will need to rely on other options as second-year wide receiver Josh Palmer joins the starting lineup.
In Week 1, Herbert threw for 271 yards and three scores, and none went to either Allen before the injury or co-No. 1 option Mike Williams. He managed to find a tight end, a fullback, and slot receiver DeAndre Carter in the end zone instead.
The Chiefs are still a fantastic team, but the Cardinals defense looked atrocious. The secondary was a non-factor for them, and the pass rush was also non-existent.
This won’t be the case against the Chargers. They have a dominant pass-rushing duo in Khalil Mack and Joey Bosa and a secondary that, sure, has some questions at the cornerback position with J.C. Jackson out but has safeties in Derwin James and Nasir Adderley to back them up.
In the slot, the Chiefs have JuJu Smith-Schuster coming off a six-catch day for 79 yards, but he’ll match up against Bryce Callahan, who’s a fantastic slot cornerback.
This game should play close, and don’t be surprised if the Chargers win outright, even on the road.
On paper—for what it’s worth—they’re the better team as a collective unit, but Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is terrific.

At +145, this is a no-brainer selection due to the Allen injury and just positive regression.
In Week 1, even with Allen leaving due to injury, Williams saw just four targets, catching two for 10 yards.
Going up against the Chiefs, who saw cornerback L’Jarius Sneed play great in Week 1, the talent of Williams is too much to pass up on here.
If this were “-” money, then the value isn’t there, but as the No. 1 receiver on a fantastic team playing in a game with a total set close to 55 points?
Yeah, lock this one in.
Any time you’re hoping for a quarterback to pass for 300 yards, this can be a tall ask, no matter who the signal caller is.
However, when you refer back to his stat line from Week 1, Herbert still finished with 270 despite the team only scoring 24 points.
Yes, running back Austin Ekeler will look to get more involved, but as we know, Ekeler excels as a pass catcher, which will only help this line.
This could be at +120 due to the absence of Allen, but as we mentioned before, Herbert was able to stuff the stat sheet throwing to guys outside of his top weapons.
Again, the total is nearly 55 no matter which sportsbook you look at.
This will be a duel between Herbert and Mahomes in Kansas City.
Yes, running back Austin Ekeler will look to get more involved, but as we know, Ekeler excels as a pass catcher which will only help this line.
An NFL parlay is when a bettor combines more than one contest on the same betslip.
For an NFL parlay to be successful, all “legs” of the parlay must win. This bet type accounts for the elevated risk, and the odds reflect that. These offer more line value than if you were to bet on each event separately.

When it comes to NFL betting, you can essentially parlay any wagers together. The only exception is multiple futures bets on the same betslip. Other than that, if you want to parlay together moneylines, spreads, or totals from various games, you can easily.
Parlays can offer enticing lines but remember—all legs of the parlay need to win for you to receive a payout.
So, you want to evaluate each selection individually and see if you’re confident enough to parlay them together. You never want to create a parlay for the sake of odds that would pay huge dividends if successful.
Some other tips include line shopping.
Lines shopping is the act of visiting each top online sportsbook in your state separately to see which has the best betting odds available for you on the bets you’re interested in making.
Same Game Parlays are the same as a standard parlay; only you can parlay together events happening within one game.
For example, betting on the Buffalo Bills moneyline and over 2.5 passing touchdowns in that same game for Josh Allen.
Correlating these picks for a Same Game Parlay is the best approach.
After choosing where you want to create a parlay, you’ll need to log into your account if you have one or create a new one. After depositing funds into your account, you can then go to the games at the sportsbook, make selections, see the bet slip, and calculate the odds.
Once you’ve found a good parlay, you can make your wager.
