Titans vs. Jaguars Predictions

The Titans' record is one of the worst in football, but they have been playing far better over the last few weeks. While they had a rough outing against Washington last week, they will be set up to bounce back against a bad Jaguars team on Sunday.

This game got far easier to pick after the Jags placed Trevor Lawrence on IR after taking an ugly week last week. While Mac Jones was solid after taking over, we have seen him struggle as the starter this season. Tennessee’s defense is better than they get credit for, and they will show it against the Jags.

Titans’ quarterback Will Levis has been consistently inconsistent over the last six weeks. He has posted completion percentages of 75%+ in three games but was under 60% in the other three. The outings alternate each week, and he was awful in Week 13. That means he could be in for an impressive outing against the Jags.

Tennessee running back Tony Pollard has quietly been having a career season. He has 1,046 yards from scrimmage and four touchdowns, averaging 4.3 YPC. He has only been shut down twice this season, but the Titans’ massive deficits in games have limited the amount of carries he sees.

We expect to see Levis and Pollard post big numbers against a Jags defense that is allowing the most yards (406.4) and second-most points (28.3) per game this season.

Titans vs. Jaguars - My Pick

The Titans are currently the better team, making this an easy bet as they play at home. The Jags’ season has been a disaster, and Trevor Lawrence's absence will only make things worse. Winning could actually hurt the Jags more than losing, meaning they won’t have much motivation on Sunday.

Titans vs. Jaguars Best Prop Bets

Will Levis Over 208.5 Passing Yards (-117) at Caesars Sportsbook

This is our favorite bet of the entire weekend. We talked about the up-and-down play of Levis, but that’s not the only reason we love this bet.

The Jags’ pass defense has allowed the most yards in the league (273.3) this season and has the highest yards per attempt (8.4) average. The unit has also surrendered the second-most passing touchdowns (24), which shows how bad it is.

The Titans' pass game isn’t great, but it is good enough to take advantage of a weak Jacksonville defense.

Tony Pollard Over 69.5 Rushing Yards (-117) at Caesars Sportsbook

The Jags’ run defense has also been a mess this season. They rank in the bottom half of the league in most statistical categories with no signs of turning things around.

We have loved Pollard’s play this season, but his work has been limited by the Titans going down big early in the games. That has led to the back finishing with under ten carries in three of his last four games. The Titans won’t be going down big against Mac Jones and the Jags on Sunday, so expect Pollard to see plenty of carries.

Calvin Ridley Over 60.5 Receiving Yards (-121) at Caesars Sportsbook

We like this bet for many of the same reasons we shared for our Will Levis wager. While he is no longer the star he once was, he leads the team with 87 receptions and 679 yards. That is almost twice as much as the next closest player, demonstrating how big of a role he has in the Tennessee pass attack.
