Here we go. Week 7 of the NFL season is kicking off with the New Orleans Saints hosting the Jacksonville Jaguars. It’s unclear if Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence will suit up in this one on a short week, so we’ll look to navigate that in our best prop bets for this matchup below.
Shaheed has shown to be a valuable deep-threat option this season, but that hasn’t quite equated to many receptions. Since Week 2, Shaheed has had more than two receptions in a game just once, and that came in Week 4 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he had three for 33 yards. Over the last two weeks, he’s had two catches for 28 and 85 yards. It’s unclear how much quarterback Derek Carr still deals with that shoulder injury. However, he’s still looking to get Shaheed somewhat involved downfield, as evidenced by his 27.8 average depth of target last week.
The Jaguars might be without Tyson Campbell, but Shaheed currently appears more of a deep-play guy. Therefore, it's hard to take the over on his receptions.

Coming off a 353 passing-yard game in Week 6 against the Houston Texans, Carr’s over/under here is at 239.5. This season, he’s had 240 passing yards or more just twice, including in Houston. The other time was way back in Week 1 against the Tennessee Titans.
Fortunately for Carr, he’ll be facing a Jaguars defense that’s allowed 270.3 passing yards per game this year, 276.3 in their last three games, and last week, allowed 310.
Carr has plenty of weapons to work with. As mentioned regarding Rashid Shaheed, there’s a chance Jaguars cornerback Tyson Campbell misses this one, making it much easier.
This should be a solid passing day for the former Raider.

With the uncertainty surrounding Lawrence, it’s hard to imagine what this offense looks like with C.J. Beathard under center. Thus, Etienne feels like a safe bet for a score, whether Lawrence plays or not.
After suffering an ankle injury last week, if Lawrence does suit up, his mobility might not be the best, which is an issue against this Saints pass rush.
Over the last three weeks, Etienne has had 20 or more carries in two games, and in Week 6, he just missed that mark with 18. He’s scored two touchdowns in back-to-back games. He should see plenty of work here again with a hobbled Lawrence or, if Beathard plays, a quarterback who’s attempted 15 passes over the last three seasons during the regular season.
