Sunday Night Football Week 8 Prop Bets: Will the Cowboys or 49ers Bounce Back

  • The Cowboys are 3-3 coming off a bye

  • The 49ers are 3-4 and just 2-2 at home this season

  • Brandon Aiyuk will miss the remainder of the season with an ACL

The Cowboys and 49ers both have Super Bowl aspirations, and this is a must-win game. Dallas was dominated by the Lions in their last contest, 47-9, and they have been thinking about this loss throughout their bye week.

The 49ers also are coming off a blowout loss to the Chiefs at home. San Francisco is now 3-4 on the season, and 2-2 at home. With two struggling teams, it can be hard to pick a winner.

Therefore, props are the best place to look for games like this week’s Sunday Night Football matchup. We have targeted three props on bet365.

As a special offer, bet365 Sportsbook offers new users a $1,000 safety net bet or $200 in bonus bets. This exclusive deal is available by creating a new bet365 account with our promo code WSN365.

Best SNF Prop Bets Week 8

Brock Purdy 250+ Passing Yards (+105) at bet365

Brock Purdy is coming off a terrible performance against the Chiefs. Purdy threw three interceptions, and many of these picks would have let to scores if San Francisco maintained possession.

Purdy may have been the last pick in the NFL Draft a couple of years ago, but he has done more in his brief time in the NFL than many quarterbacks will do over their careers.

Purdy was in line to win the MVP at one point last season, and we expect him to have a bounce back performance in this contest. Purdy is third in passing yards with 1,841 and he has thrown for nine touchdowns.

The interceptions have been an issue, but is passing yards line has a lot of value at 250+. The quarterback has hit this mark in three of his past four games, and should have success once again considering this game could become a shootout.

If Dak Prescott starts heating up, Purdy will have to answer. Even though Brandon Aiyuk is out for the remainder of the season, he still has weapons like Deebo Samuel and George Kittle to target down the field.

CeeDee Lamb Over 75.5 Receiving Yards (-110) at bet365

CeeDee Lamb has been fantastic this season, and the main reason Dak Prescott hs posted such big numbers. The receiver has caught 32 passes for 467 yards with two touchdowns.

He is 10th in receiving yards, and we believe he is in for another outstanding performance. Lamb’s receiving yards line is listed at 75.5, and he has surpassed this total in three of his past five contests.

We believe he will do this once again because the 49ers have not been as dominant on defense as you would expect out of the defending NFC Champions. The 49ers have been strong against the pass, but they have allowed big plays all season.

Lamb is the primary deep threat for the Cowboys, and we think Prescott will take downfield shots throughout the game.

Jordan Mason Over 79.5 Rushing Yards (-110) at bet365

Jordan Mason has done an excellent job filling in for Christian McCaffrey this season. We expect him to have a solid night against the Cowboys because Dallas has been poor against the run in 2024.

The team is 31st in Defensive Rusher Rating and 28th in Bendability according to Cold, Hard Football Facts. These metrics make the Cowboys one of the worst rushing defenses in the NFL, and San Francisco is built on running the football.

We should see a heavy dose of Mason based on his rushing line of 79.5 yards. Mason separated his shoulder a few weeks ago, but he is back to full strength which gives us confidence to take the over on his line.

Mason is second in the NFL in carries and yards this season with 128 and 667 yards, respectively. He has gone over this line in two of his past four games, but this is the best matchup of the season.
