Caleb Williams didn’t throw for 100 yards in his first start
The Texans opened the season with a 29-27 win over the Colts
Joe Mixon carried the ball 30 times for 159 yards with one score
The Texans have Super Bowl aspirations after their Week 1 win against the Colts. Many people expected Indianapolis to handle business inside Lucas Oil Stadium, but the Texans delivered with a 29-27 win.
The Bears are in a different spot after one game. They defeated Tennessee 24-17, but it was a horrid performance. Caleb Williams only threw for 93 yards in the win, and the offense looked out of sorts.
The Titans handed this game to the Bears, but a win is a win. While a touchdown favors the Texans, we’re focusing on props for Sunday Night Football on bet365 Sportsbook.
We have a few prop bets for this game that we’re targeting on bet365 Sportsbook. As a special offer, bet365 offers new users a $1,000 safety net bet or $200 in bonus bets. This exclusive deal is available with our promo code WSN365.
CJ Stroud is on the list of potential NFL MVP winners in 2024. Stroud entered the season and lit the league on fire as a rookie. He is a dominant pocket passer and has a ton of weapons to work in 2024.
The team added Stefon Diggs, who caught both touchdown passes in the opening game. Diggs had a disappointing season in Buffalo but is already off to a great start.
We’re taking the under for CJ Stroud’s passing line despite all the weapons he has in his arsenal. The Texans focused heavily on the run game in the season opener, giving Joe Mixon the ball 30 times for 159 yards and one touchdown.
If the Texans take this same approach against the Bears, Stroud won’t come close to 270 yards. He had 234 against Indianapolis, and the Bears' defense is much better than the Colts.
The Bears only allowed Will Levis to throw for 127 yards in Week 1. Stroud will succeed more than Levis, but this isn’t an excellent spot for Stroud, especially if the Bears can’t keep pace.

Caleb Williams will look to respond after a tough NFL debut. The one thing that matters in the NFL is winning games, and the Bears are 1-0.
However, Levis handed them the game, so they must improve to give themselves a chance in 2024. Williams had a lot of hype and fell way short of the mark, but the Texans should give him a chance to complete some long downfield passes.
Anthony Richardson didn’t have a great day throwing the ball against Houston, but he had some deep completions, soaring over the 35.5-yard mark. One of the best of the game was a 54-yard touchdown pass to Ashton Dulin.
The Bears have many weapons, including DJ Moore, Keenan Allen, and Rome Odunze. All these players are capable of big plays down the field.

Joe Mixon is 28 years old, which is old in terms of running backs. Although he looked young in the season opener when he ran for 159 yards and a touchdown.
We didn’t expect Houston to emphasize the ground game as much as they did last Sunday. It was one area where the team struggled consistently in 2024, but they responded against the Colts in the opener.
The Bears have a solid defensive front, but their game against Tennessee revealed they’re much better in the secondary than on the line of scrimmage.
Tony Pollard, who came to Tennessee from Dallas, looked better than he ever did in Dallas with a worse offensive line. Pollard carried the ball 16 times for 82 yards with a touchdown.
He did this when the Bears didn’t fear getting beat downfield by Levis, who was throwing the ball up for grabs. Since the Texans know this, look for the Bears to establish the ground game early with Mixon.
