Sunday Night Football Prop Bets Wild Card Round: Baker Mayfield in Prime-Time

Published January 10, 2025

  • Baker Mayfield is second in touchdown passes with 41

  • The Buccaneers beat the Commanders 37-20 in Week 1

  • Jayden Daniels was named to the Pro Bowl

The NFC Championship race on Sunday night will run through Tampa Bay, Florida. The Buccaneers, winners of the NFC South, will host the Washington Commanders, and a trip to the Divisional Round is on the line.

There are so many storylines heading into Sunday night. Jayden Daniels was selected to the Pro Bowl over Baker Mayfield, which many said was unjust.

Mayfield was in the top three for passing yards and touchdowns, while Daniels wasn’t close to this level. The Buccaneers also beat the Commanders in Week 1 by 17 points, so these teams are familiar with each other in 2024-25.

We have targeted three player props for the game on FanDuel Sportsbook. New customers on FanDuel Sportsbook can get $200 in bonus bets if their first $5 wager wins on the app. This is a great way to rack up bonuses for the upcoming NFL and college football playoffs.

SNF Prop Bets Wild Card Round Buccaneers vs. Commanders

Bucky Irving Over 113.5 Rushing + Receiving Yards  (-114) at FanDuel

The Buccaneers wouldn’t be as good of a football team without Bucky Irving. Irving was a third-round pick out of Oregon, and this was one of the best picks Tampa Bay could have ever made in 2024.

Irving took over the starting job later in the season altogether from Rachaad White. Even though Irving wasn’t getting most of the reps earlier in the season, he still posted massive numbers.

Irving has 207 carries for 1,122 yards with eight touchdowns. Irving’s multifaceted skillset is the best part of his game, as he can catch the ball out of the backfield.

The running back has caught 47 passes for 392 yards, averaging 8.3 yards per catch. Mayfield often uses him as a safety valve and with screens.

Irving’s combined total is 113.5; we’re leaning over this line. He had 19 carries for 89 yards against the Saints in his most recent game.

His last dominant performance was against the Panthers. He carried the ball 20 times for 113 yards and added 77 yards through the air.

Baker Mayfield Over 35.5 Longest Completion (-114) at FanDuel

Mayfield has racked up explosive plays through the air all season. Despite losing Mike Evans for a portion of the season and Chris Godwin halfway through the year, he still posted big numbers.

Mayfield is third in passing yards with 4,500 and second in touchdowns with 41. He threw for 289 yards and four touchdowns in the season's first game against Washington.

Mayfield’s longest completion is listed at 35.5 yards on Sunday. He has gone over this line in three of his past five games.

Evans should have vertical chances in this game with Washington’s battered secondary. Additionally, Jalen McMillan has burst onto the scene as a deep ball threat.

He had a 33-yard catch last week and is very good at extending plays with his legs after grabbing the ball.

Jayden Daniels Over 47.5 Rushing Yards (-114) at FanDuel

Daniels will win Offensive Rookie of the Year and was selected to the Pro Bowl in his first NFL season. Washington has their quarterback, and this is very exciting for the future.

Daniels was a good pick in the NFL Draft because of his ability to run and throw. Daniels is a better pocket passer than expected, but he has been so good at extending plays with his legs.

The Buccaneers' pass rush is underrated, and we anticipate them getting to Daniels enough to make him scramble.

When Daniels scrambles, he can rack up yards on the ground. Kliff Kingsbury also calls countless designed runs to get his quarterback going early in contests.

Daniels rushing yards line is 47.5 yards, and we’re taking the over on Sunday. He has gone over this line in three of his past four games.
