The 49ers are 5-6 and on the verge of missing the playoffs
Snow is in the forecast for Sunday night
Josh Allen is the current MVP favorite on FanDuel Sportsbook
Former Offensive Player of the Year Christian McCaffrey and the 49ers will travel across the country to face the Buffalo Bills. Snow is in the forecast; if this occurs, it would be the second snow game of the season.
These teams are in two different spots in the season's final third, but this game has playoff implications. Buffalo is contending for the top seed in the AFC standings, while San Francisco can’t afford many more losses if they want to make the playoffs.
The 49ers have an 18% chance of making the playoffs, and if they lose, the odds drop to 12%. We’re attacking this game in the prop markets and have targeted three on FanDuel Sportsbook.
New customers on FanDuel Sportsbook can get $150 in bonus bets if their first $5 wager wins on the app. This is a great way to rack up bonuses for the upcoming NFL and college football playoffs.
Christian McCaffrey has been one of the most dominant running backs in the NFL for years. He was on the verge of winning NFL MVP award last season but started the year on the injured reserve.
McCaffrey had tendinitis in both his Achilles, and his absence caused San Francisco to slide early in the season. Jordan Mason did an excellent job filling in for the running back, but McCaffrey immediately impacted the offense as soon as he returned.
Typically, McCaffrey is -200 or shorter to score, but he hasn’t found the end zone. We’re getting a reasonable price on McCaffrey’s touchdown against the Bills for -140.
Buffalo has a solid run defense, but McCaffrey must break through on Sunday to get his team back on track. We anticipate a heavy dose of the running back throughout this game in the passing and rushing attacks.
The 49ers have been in the red zone multiple times this season with McCaffrey, but they haven’t converted. This should be a shootout game with many points where the former Offensive Player of the Year finds the end zone.

The snow won’t be conducive to a heavy passing attack for either team, but they will each need to throw at times. George Kittle has stepped up massively since Brandon Aiyuk suffered his season-ending knee injury.
Kittle has 49 receptions for 642 yards and eight touchdowns. He is third in touchdown catches, and we expect him to find the end zone again. Kittle has five touchdowns in his past five games and has scored in three straight games.
He’s coming off a six-catch game for 82 yards and worked well with backup quarterback Brandon Allen. Whether Allen plays or Brock Purdy, Kittle should still have a massive role in this contest.

Next to Josh Allen, James Cook is the Bills' best rushing option. The 49ers typically have a strong defense, but they haven’t been great this season.
The Packers dominated the 49ers last week, and Josh Jacobs had a huge game. Jacobs carried the ball 26 times for 106 yards and three touchdowns.
If Jacobs did this last week, the Bills can do the same thing with James Cook. Cook has carried the ball 137 times for 596 yards with ten touchdowns.
He has scored in four of his past five games and has six touchdowns over this stretch. Cook's -120 price tag has a lot of value, so take advantage of it on Sunday Night Football.
