Seattle looked like a playoff team to start the season, but has now lost five of their previous six games. While the offense remains solid, the defense allows 29.6 points per game during that span. 

The Seahawks’ defensive struggles will be on full display against a finally healthy Niners team. Brock Purdy has been playing at a high level, using all his weapons to score many points over the last few weeks. Things will get even easier for the quarterback as Christian McCaffrey returns to form. Considering Seattle is struggling to stop even the league’s worst run games, we expect the running back to put up some big-time numbers.

The Seahawks rank in the top ten in yards gained per game, but Geno Smith has been erratic. The veteran has 11 touchdowns and ten interceptions on the season. While the possible return of DK Metcalf could help Smith, it won’t be enough against a Niners allowing the sixth-lowest completion percentage in the league (61.9%). 

Don’t be surprised if the Seahawks start this game hot, but they don’t have the talent to stay with the team like the Niners for all four quarters. Add in the fact that the game is being played in Santa Clara, and you can see why we are happy to give up the 6.5 points on Sunday.
