Saints vs Broncos Predictions and Prop Bets

Saints vs. Broncos My Pick

The Saints fooled the world into believing they were a team they weren’t during the opening weeks of the season. Rattler made plays last week whereas Nix was totally absent in the first half, and he’s just too inconsistent to believe in.

Be ready for a potential upset in the French quarter.

Saints vs. Broncos Predictions

The Saints lost four straight games after scoring 47 and 44 in the first two weeks of the season. The 51 they allowed last week was the fifth-most in franchise history and the most since 2012, and it was also their third straight game in which they surrendered at least 26 points.

Rookie quarterback Spencer Rattler is expected to get the start under center while the team deals with a litany of injuries on both sides of the ball. The South Carolina product went 22/40 for 243 yards, a touchdown, and a pick in his debut a week ago.

Another rookie QB, Bo Nix, will handle the snaps for the visiting Broncos. Nix has shown flashes of brilliance but intermingles them with lethargic halves and careless mistakes. The next stage in his development will be adding consistency to his game.

Denver had held four straight teams to 18 or fewer points until it gave up 23 to Justin Herbert and a horde of unheralded players in Week 6. They allowed the second-fewest yards per play and posted the third-highest sack percentage, which is a tough combination to overcome.

Saints vs. Broncos Best Player Props

Here are our best Saints vs. Broncos player props for Thursday Night Football.

Bo Nix Over 185.5 Passing Yards (-113 at FanDuel Sportsbook)

Nix threw for 216 yards last week and went over 200 yards in four of five games since his NFL debut. These numbers don’t always translate to great performances, but the Broncos call passes on more than 58 percent of their plays, and the Saints surrendered the fourth-most passing yards per game.

Alvin Kamara Anytime Touchdown Scorer (-120 at FanDuel Sportsbook)

Kamara is the do-it-all man for the Saints. He scored at least one touchdown in four of six games and cracked the pylons last week despite only gaining 40 yards on the ground and 24 through the air. He will be a valuable commodity for Rattler and should get plenty of looks in the red zone.

Spencer Rattler Under 20.5 Rushing Yards (-113 at FanDuel Sportsbook)

Rattler is not a running quarterback by trade, nor did he show a great ability to make plays outside of the pocket in college. He ran four times for 27 yards last week but benefitted from one 16-yard run, and the Broncos’ great pass-rush should help get him on the ground.
