Rams running back Kyren Williams has five rushing touchdowns over his last five games
The Rams defense is allowing about 57 receiving yards per game to tight ends
Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has thrown for 225 yards or more in seven games
The 9-6 Los Angeles Rams will host the 7-8 Arizona Cardinals in Week 17 of the NFL season. Both teams are in the NFC West. The Rams are in first place, while the Cardinals are third. The Cardinals are eliminated from playoff contention, but they could play spoiler to the Rams in their quest for the division title.

While the Cardinals cannot make the playoffs, they could aim to play spoiler. If the Rams lose this week and in Week 18 to the Seattle Seahawks, they’ll completely miss the playoffs.
The Rams offense has slowed down lately, scoring 19 or less in the past two games. They’ve also allowed 250-plus passing yards in two of the last three games. They’ve also given up four passing touchdowns in that same period.
This came against a struggling New York Jets squad, the San Francisco 49ers, where they won just 12-6, and the Buffalo Bills in a high-scoring affair.
I expect the Cardinals to play well enough to cover on the road, especially in the passing attack.

The Rams and Cardinals played earlier this season, and the Cardinals dismantled the Rams 41-10.
In that game, Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray threw for 266 yards and three touchdowns while running back James Conner ran 21 times for 122 yards and one touchdown.
That game happened in Week 2.
Throughout this season, the Rams have allowed about 237 passing yards and 1.6 passing touchdowns per game. They’ve picked off 11 passes this season but only one over the last five games.
They’ve also surrendered about 103 rushing yards per game to opposing running backs, who are logging 4.49 yards per carry.
Another deficiency on defense worth noting is the Rams against tight ends. They’ve allowed, on average, 7.47 targets, 5.47 receptions, and 57.2 yards per game.
Turning things over to the Cardinals defense, they’re allowing 1.2 passing yards and close to 228 passing yards per game.
They’ve had trouble containing opposing running backs, though, allowing about 109 rushing yards per game and 4.68 yards per carry. They’ve also allowed four rushing touchdowns over the last three games.
Rams running back Kyren Williams has 13 rushing touchdowns this season, including five over the last five games.
Ultimately, when it comes to who will win the game, I think the Rams wide receiver duo of Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua will be too much for the Cardinals' defense, but they have the weapons in place to stay within a touchdown.
The Rams allow 23.1 points, and the Cardinals surrender 22.8 points per game. These teams are also separated by just one point in points scored. The Cardinals average 22.9 points per game, while the Rams average 21.9.
As mentioned, Williams has 13 rushing touchdowns this season and five over his last five games. He’s had 23 carries or more in each of the last three games.
The Cardinals have surrendered four rushing touchdowns over the last three games, allowing 0.73 per game.
Williams gets plenty of work each game, and the Rams are favored by a touchdown.
He’ll get in the end zone in this game.

The Rams are allowing plenty of production per game to tight ends. They’re allowing the position about five catches for 57 yards per game. They’ve allowed 60 receiving yards or more in seven games this season, including in three of the last four games.
McBride has had 60 receiving yards or more in five of his last six games. He’s had double-digit targets in four of the last five games.
He’s heavily involved in this offense and will continue to be in this game.
Bet $1 at Caesars and Double Your Winnings
The Rams are surrendering 237 passing yards per game and have given up 225 yards or more in seven games this season.
One of those seven games came against the Cardinals in Week 2, where Murray had 266 passing yards.
Murray has 225 passing yards or more in six games and had 224 in one of them.
He’s thrown for 225 or more in four of his last six games. The two games in which he fell short include Week 16 against the Carolina Panthers (202) and Week 15 against the New England Patriots (224).
The Cardinals will likely be trailing here per the point spread, allowing Murray to rack up attempts and passing yards.
