Las Vegas and Los Angeles are a combined 3-8 on the season
Las Vegas is coming off a blowout loss to Pittsburgh
The Rams have been dealing with a ton of injuries
The Raiders and Rams have struggled tremendously in 2024. Las Vegas just dealt star receiver Davante Adams to the Jets after getting rid of running back Josh Jacobs in the offseason. Ponts have been hard to come by for this offense, and we don’t expect anything to change on Sunday.
Injuries have killed the Rams through the first half of the NFL season, as they have been without receivers Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp. Kupp is questionable for this contest, but the offense has struggled without these two.
The Rams have leaned on running back Kyren Williams for all of the production, but they will need more than just him going forward.
This matchup is not the most intriguing, but we expect a closer game than the line shows.

The following odds for the Raiders vs. Rams matchup are provided by FanDuel Sportsbook.
Team | Spread | Moneyline | Total |
---|---|---|---|

Los Angeles Rams | -6.5 (-115) | -325 | Under 43 (-105) |
The Cold, Hard Football Facts have successfully predicted the outcome of NFL games and seasons for over 20 years. Their 22 proprietary stats rank teams in terms of efficiency, and these teams rank towards the bottom.
Both teams have been extremely inefficient on offense in 2024. The Raiders rank 27th in the Cold Hard Football Facts Quality Stat Power Rankings, while the Rams are 29th. In terms of scoreability on offense, both teams also rank in the bottom half of the league.
That said, we think the margin between these two teams is closer than the line on FanDuel. We expect this to be an ugly game that comes down to the wire.

Las Vegas will be without star receiver Adams going forward, as he was just traded to the Jets. This move removes the Raiders' biggest playmaker on offense, and they will now have to get other guys involved.
Rookie tight end Brock Bowers has been impressive this season, and he should see an increased target share going forward. Bowers is one of the players being discussed in the Rookie of the Year conversation.
Injuries have been the biggest concern for the Rams this year. Los Angeles simply cannot stay healthy on both sides of the football. We can’t expect a ton of success when a team loses its two best receivers, and we think they will come out flat in this game.
We project this matchup will be closer to a field goal than a touchdown. If Kupp returns this week, we expect him to get 10+ targets, but without him, it might be tough for the Rams to cover this spread.
Look for the Raiders to come out and establish the run game with Zamir White and Alexander Mattison. They should be able to capitalize on a few possessions to make this game closer than expected, which is why we are backing the Raiders in this spot.
With the absence of Adams, Bowers will be the main target for this Raiders offense. He has been the best rookie tight end this season, and the Vegas system fits him quite well.
As a rookie, it can be hard to come in and make an impact, but with the lack of depth the Raiders have, he has been exceeding expectations.
Bowers has 37 receptions for 384 yards but has failed to score a touchdown in 2024. We think that changes this week with the number of targets he will receive.
Look for Bowers to be the main target in this offense and finally score a touchdown this season.

White has been the lead back for Vegas' offense, and we think he will have a breakout game against the Rams.
White has 152 yards on the ground but has failed to score while battling an injury. He is expected to return this week.
White was highly talked about this offseason as he was projected to have a huge season. We have not seen that come out yet, but he will get comfortable and that starts with him finding the end zone this week.

Kyren Williams is one of the best running backs in the NFL. His load has increased this season with the Rams' injuries, but he has been able to handle the workload.
Williams has 95 carries for 360 yards this season with six touchdowns. Williams is also a great receiving back out of the backfield and picks up some touchdowns through the air.
We expect Williams to get a full workload in this matchup and to dominate this Raiders defense. We also like Williams to go over 100 yards and score on Sunday.
