Raiders vs. Falcons MNF Picks, Predictions & Player Props: Can Falcons End Four-Game Losing Streak?

  • Las Vegas has the fewest rushing yards in the NFL this season and is averaging just 3.7 yards per carry.

  • Kirk Cousins has no touchdown passes and eight interceptions during Atlanta’s current four-game losing streak.

  • Bijan Robinson has rushed for over 80 yards in six of his last eight games.

The second game of Monday’s NFL double-header features the Atlanta Falcons venturing west to take on the Las Vegas Raiders. Unfortunately, there isn’t much at stake for the Raiders at this point in the season other than determining their draft position or perhaps wanting to avoid a 10th straight loss. On the other hand, the Falcons are hoping to end their four-game losing streak and reignite their playoff hopes, as they are still very much in contention for the NFC South title if they can get back on track and finish the season strong.

Raiders vs. Falcons Odds

With the Raiders losing their last nine games, it’s easy to see why they are home underdogs in Monday’s game. Even though the Falcons are in a slump at the moment as well, they’ve done enough this season to show that they are capable of beating bad teams on the road, which is why they’re favored by more than a field goal.

Here are the current odds for Monday’s game at bet365 Sportsbook, where new users can choose their welcome bonus: $1,000 Safety Net Bet OR $150 in Bonus Bets.

Raiders vs. Falcons My Pick

It’s hard to put faith in the Falcons right now after they’ve lost four straight games. Atlanta’s schedule during this losing streak hasn’t been the easiest with three of their four losses coming on the road. That doesn’t make it any easier to pick them as road favorites on Monday. However, they’ve played well at times this season, which is more than can be said of the Raiders. During their nine-game losing streak, only one loss has come by less than five points and only two have come by less than seven points. That’s enough to swallow the points and trust the Falcons to cover.

Raiders vs. Falcons Predictions

It’s hard to grasp just how bad the Raiders have been this season. They’ve lost nine games in a row and have been held under 20 points in seven of those games. To make matters worse, Aidan O’Connell is questionable, meaning it could be third-stringer Desmond Ridder playing with Gardner Minshew already on IR. The Raiders also have the worst rushing attack in the league, averaging less than 80 yards per game and just 3.7 yards per carry.

The Raiders have been just as much of a disaster defensively. They’ve conceded the third-most points in the NFL. Somehow, a Black Friday road game against the Chiefs was their best defensive performance in the past two months. In seven of their nine games during the team’s current losing streak, the Raiders have allowed at least 27 points. Needless to say, that’s not a good formula for winning given the state of the Las Vegas offense.

Of course, the most important question for Monday’s game is whether Kirk Cousins can get himself back on track enough to take advantage of a porous Las Vegas defense. Cousins has thrown eight interceptions and no touchdown passes during Atlanta’s four-game losing streak. Even with a couple of 300-plus passing games during that stretch, he’s doing more harm than good for the Falcons right now.

The Atlanta defense hasn’t been that reliable over the last month either. They gave up 42 points to Sam Darnold and the Vikings last week, a couple of weeks after rookie Bo Nix and the Broncos put 38 points on the scoreboard. However, there have been six games this year in which the Falcons have held their opponent to 21 points or less. If they can do that against the Raiders, Cousins and company should be able to score enough points to win and cover.

Raiders vs. Falcons Best Player Props

Bijan Robinson Over 80.5 Rushing Yards (-110 at bet365 Sportsbook)

Outside of one poor game in Denver, Robinson has been on a roll lately despite Atlanta’s losing ways. He’s rushed for over 80 yards in four of his last five games and six of his last eight games. Since the Falcons don’t have much faith in Cousins, they’ll be happy to lean on Robinson and the running game. While the Raiders haven’t been as bad at defending the run as you might think, they’ve allowed 12 rushes of 20-plus yards this season. If Robinson gets one rush of at least 20 yards, he should have no problem surpassing 80 yards given how many carries he’s likely to get in this game.

Brock Bowers Anytime Touchdown (+160 at bet365 Sportsbook)

Bowers is the silver lining on a dreadful Las Vegas offense this season. He leads the team with four receiving touchdowns, three of which have come in the last five weeks. Regardless of who starts at quarterback for the Raiders, Bowers is the player to watch. As rough as it’s been for the Las Vegas offense, the Falcons began Week 15 tied with the Texans for the most passing touchdowns allowed this year. If that trend continues, Bowers is the most likely member of the Raiders to be on the receiving end of a touchdown pass.

Kirk Cousins Over 236.5 Passing Yards (-110 at bet365 Sportsbook)

Despite his struggles finding the end zone or avoiding interceptions in recent weeks, Cousins is still averaging 261 passing yards per game. Even during the team’s losing streak, Cousins has surpassed 236.5 passing yards three times in the last four games. Similar to Robinson, that dreadful game in Denver a few weeks ago is the lone exception. The Falcons have too many talented receivers for Cousins to be limited to such a low number of passing yards unless he is somehow worse than we’ve seen in recent weeks. Even if turnovers spoil everything eventually, we expect Cousins to have a healthy passing total when all is said and done Monday night.
