13 preseason games occur on Saturday
Joe Burrow will face Caleb Williams
Jared Goff will battle Patrick Mahomes
The second week of the NFL preseason has arrived, so we should see more starters for extended periods. Some starters took the field for a series last week, and we learned a lot, even in a couple of drives.
Caleb Williams looked strong last week, and the same goes for Joe Burrow. These two quarterbacks will square off on Saturday afternoon. The other big matchup on Saturday features Jared Goff against Patrick Mahomes in what could be an early Super Bowl preview.

The Bengals are one of the top teams in the AFC North, and they are positioned for a massive season, thanks to Joe Burrow. Burrow returned to the field for the first time since his season ended with a wrist injury, and he looked fantastic.
The quarterback manufactured a 12-play, 73-yard touchdown drive, ending with a 10-yard strike to Tee Higgins in the end zone. This was the only series that Burrow got to play, but he took advantage of it completely.
The Bengals went over 13.5 points by scoring another touchdown in the fourth quarter of last week’s game against the Buccaneers. While they lost 17-14, they still scored points throughout the game.
Burrow is expected to play more time on Sunday, so it wouldn’t be crazy to see him play an entire quarter. If he is under center for this much time, it would likely result in three times. There is no reason to think Burrow couldn’t score seven to ten points in his time on the mound, especially if we see the same intensity as last week from the offense.
If the starters leave the field after scoring seven to ten points, this bet will be well-suited for the backups to finish.
Jake Browning looked strong last week, going 10-18 for 52 yards. Thanks to Burrow's injury, he is a player with a lot of game experience last season.
Chicago also allowed 17 points in the Hall of Fame Game. They only surrendered six to the Bills last week, but Buffalo didn’t play any starters.

The Bears' offense has been fantastic in the preseason, but they’re due for some regression this week against the Bengals. Chicago was electric behind Caleb Williams in Week 1 of the preseason.
Williams was 4 of 7 for 95 yards and manufactured two scoring drives. Tyson Begent also looked good, going 5-8 for 47 yards. However, the Bears' run game was the deciding factor in their massive offensive night.
If Chicago can run the football as we saw last week, they can win the NFC North. Chicago should have been solid in Week 1 because they had already played in an earlier exhibition game.
Game experience matters so much early in the preseason, and the Bears backup had played 60 minutes of football. This was one of the biggest reasons they dominated the Bills in Week 1.
Look for the Bengals to play defensive starters and make life rough for Williams and company. Taking a team over 21.5 in a preseason game is a lot.

We were one Lions win away from witnessing Detroit vs. Kansas City in the Super Bowl last season. The 49ers beat the Lions in the NFC Championship, but we get the hypothetical Super Bowl matchup now in the preseason.
This preseason game could be an early preview of a Super Bowl game. However, we’re fading the Chiefs in this matchup when it comes to their team total.
Kansas City’s total is 23.5, and we’re taking the under on their points. Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and company are all expected to play in the first half.
Andy Reid has always advocated playing starters early in the preseason, but the Chiefs' offense doesn’t need many reps because they have been to six straight AFC Championships.
If Mahomes only manufactures one scoring drive, this under is set up well against the Lions. Detroit has emphasized the defensive side of the ball, and their starters should be on the field against Kansas City’s primary offense, making life difficult for Mahomes.
