With only four games on the schedule, this week’s episode goes into more detail on each game and the most important storylines and trends worth paying attention to.
Last week Ryan’s Best Bet on the Rams to cover a seven-point spread ended in a push, extending his winning streak over Adam for another week. Ryan also had Green Bay on the moneyline and the Lions to cover.
This week Ryan is taking the Seattle Seahawks to cover the one-and-a-half point spread against the Philadelphia Eagles. Ryan predicts that Seattle is going to be an absolute beast in the playoffs, starting with a win against the Eagles followed by a divisional championship victory against whichever team emerges from NFC East.
Adam’s call last week for the Buccaneers to cover a one-point spread against the Falcons didn’t hit but he did cash in on betting the under in the Jets vs Bills game, and the over on Rashad Perrimen for receiving yards and receptions. He had the Bengals upset against the Browns and the Saints blowout win over Carolina.
This week Adam is putting his Best Bet money on the New Orleans Saints to cover the eight-point spread against the Minnesota Vikings. Since the return of Drew Brees from a hand injury, New Orleans has been dominant offensively. Adam thinks that even if it is a high-scoring game, Minnesota doesn’t have the fire-power to keep pace the Saints offense.
The other two games on the schedule are the Houston Texans vs. the Buffalo Bills and the New England Patriots vs. the Tennessee Titans.
Both Ryan and Adam are taking the Bills to pull off the upset and cover against the Texans. The Bills are playing great on the road this year with a 7-1-1 record ATS. Houston, meanwhile, has a terrible record of 1-6 against the spread at home this season.
Even though New England hasn’t been performing lately, Ryan is calling them to win and cover against the Tennessee Titans. Ryan is looking at Tom Brady as the biggest reason for a Pats win, even though the legendary QB is another year older.
Adam is taking a different approach and backing the Titans. Adam doesn’t necessarily see the Titans winning against the Patriots but he does think they’ll keep it close enough to cover the spread.
