This map compares US colleges based on their success developing NFL players. Use the filters on the right to view total players drafted, active drafted players, Pro Bowlers and Hall of Famers. The size of the circle reflects the number of players for each college and you can hover over the names to view the numbers.
We extracted data from pro-football-reference.com which included 30,000 players from 500 colleges who had been drafted in the NFL throughout its history.
We then collected the coordinates for each college and converted all the data into a geojson file, which allowed us to pin them all on a map. The radius of each college on the map is representative of the number of players in that particular category.
