Daniel Jones ranks below league average in quarterback EPA per Play and PFF Grade
Devin Singletary continues to lose carries to the emerging Tyrone Tracy Jr
The Pittsburgh Steelers defense ranks top-5 in Def Rush DVOA, EPA, and Success Rate
Since it was reported that Russell Wilson would get the starting nod against the New York Jets, Pittsburgh Steelers fans had mixed reactions leading up to the game. Those who doubted the quarterback change quickly turned their criticism into joy as Wilson led the Steelers to a dominant win by routing the Jets 37-15. Their defense was especially impressive as they held Breece Hall to just 38 total rushing yards while picking off Aaron Rodgers twice.
Heading into Monday, the Steelers' defense will have the opportunity to continue to succeed as they draw a favorable matchup against the lowly New York Giants offense. Even with the addition of NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year contender Malik Nabers, Daniel Jones still struggles to generate pass production while playing behind a porous offensive line. The Giants' ground game has also underwhelmed, entering the contest ranked below league average in Rush DVOA, EPA, and Success Rate.
As for where to wager on Monday night’s primetime matchup between the New York Giants and Pittsburgh Steelers, BetMGM Sportsbook has been the front runner for the market as they offer a wide range of props for their users to choose from and at very favorable odds. When Devin Singletary signed with the New York Giants this offseason, it was expected he would bolster their rush production as their three-down back. Not only did he fail to do that as the Giants' ground game ranks below league average in Rush DVOA, EPA, and Success Rate, but he is also in danger of losing his starting role as Tyrone Tracy Jr continues to eat away at his carries. Tracy has been the more efficient back this year as he averages more yards per carry than Singletary.
Not only is Singletary seeing his time on the field drastically reduced, but generating any sort of rush production against the Pittsburgh Steelers front seven will be a tough feat. Heading into Monday night, the Steelers' defense ranks top-5 across the board in Def Rush DVOA, EPA, Success Rate, and Adjusted Line Yards. With the Giants' offensive line failing to open up high-quality rushing lanes with a poor mark in Adjusted Line Yards, expect Singletary to continue to get bottled up in the trenches.

Not only has the Giants ground game been abysmal, but Daniel Jones continues to struggle with consistently generating pass production. Even after selecting star rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers with the sixth overall pick in the NFL Draft, the Giants pass attack still grades out poorly as they enter the contest ranked 23rd in Pass DVOA, 24th in Pass EPA, and 27th in Pass Success Rate.
While the Steelers' defense has regressed in terms of quality of coverage when in the middle of the field by ranking 19th in Def Pass Success Rate, Daniel Jones shaky arm will still struggle to generate pass production as he tries to weave the ball through a crowded field. The Steelers' defensive scheme revolves around anchoring their linebackers in coverage, giving them extra bodies spread across the field to help smother passing lanes.

While the Giants offense is expected to struggle with moving the ball down the field, the Steelers will have the opportunity to build on their momentum in Russell Wilson’s second start. Especially since they get a far more favorable matchup in terms of quality of coverage as the Giants are a major downgrade when compared to the Jets. Entering Monday night, the Giants' secondary ranks 21st in Def Pass DVOA.
That bodes well for George Pickens who quickly turned into Russell Wilson’s favorite target, finishing their first game together hauling in 5 receptions for 111 yards and 1 touchdown. With Pickens leading the team in red zone targets, expect Wilson to continue to look his way when in scoring territory. Be sure to shop around when targeting an anytime touchdown prop as Pickens can be found as high as +200 at FanDuel Sportsbook and as low as +160 at Caesars Sportsbook.
