MNF Picks Rams vs. Vikings

Minnesota Vikings -1 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook

We expect this game to get ugly fast. While the Rams managed to win their division with a five-game win streak, the offense has been a mess. In the final three games where their starters played, the offense scored less than 20 points. Defensive play made up for it, but the unit can’t be relied upon to carry the team against the Vikings.

Minnesota has had a special season. While they ended it on a sour note, they had a lot of opportunities to stay in their Week 18 game against the Lions. We aren’t worried about the loss and believe it will give this team even more motivation to dominate on Sunday.

We also consider the severity of the situation in Los Angeles, where wildfires are destroying entire neighborhoods. Those fires could lead to the game being moved to Arizona, taking away the Rams' one advantage. Even if they don’t move the game, it's hard to believe this team will be able to focus with far more critical things on their minds.

Justin Jefferson Over 89.5 Receiving Yards (-115) at Caesars Sportsbook

The Rams’ defense has been better down the final stretch of the season, but they haven’t had to face a receiver like Jefferson. LA has been burned by the top receivers of opposing teams, regardless of talent.

The Vikings will expose that weakness on Monday. Any quarterback would lean on Jefferson in the postseason, but that is especially true for one like Sam Darnold. The veteran hasn’t played in a playoff game before, meaning he’ll be looking to lean on his favorite weapon. Don’t be surprised if that leads to Jefferson surpassing this total in the first half.

Kyren William Under 97.5 Rushing Yards (-125) at Caesars Sportsbook

The Rams’ electric running back has been fantastic this season, but he’ll face his most formidable challenge on Monday. The Vikings' run defense ranks in the top four of the league in both rushing yards (93.4) per game and YPC (4.1). While the unit was shredded by Gibbs last week, the Lions' run game has been far better than the Rams all season.

Minnesota will score on this Rams defense, forcing LA’s offense to play catchup. That will force them to work through the air, limiting the number of touches Williams will see. His production relies on seeing a lot of carries, which is why he averages 4.1 YPC despite having the seventh-most yards in the league.
